  1. Updating the map is a commendable concept; however, what is the procedure for doing it?
  2. Hello, I attempted the procedure, but regardless of my approach, the screen does not go blank as shown in some YouTube videos. I have reset the device, which resulted in the loss of all my favorite GPS locations that I often used, but the issue remains unresolved.
  3. My car's GPS persistently displays a route from Swansea to our residence, despite our never having been there. Additionally, it sometimes indicates our location in the Bristol Channel. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you.
  4. Ensure that the voltage of the glow plugs corresponds with the output of the relay.
  5. They are prevalent for the movable lever component that you pull to secure it in the upward position. If it does not descend completely, the emergency key action will not activate. Ensure it is completely lowered before turning the key, and then operate the lever once more.

  7. It is not inherently true; one must review the sales terms and conditions. For instance, from a renowned retailer's website. "7.8 Each Product shall remain our property until full payment has been received or the Product has been delivered to you, whichever occurs later, at which point ownership will transfer to you."
  8. Excellent enhancement; it will surpass most German brands, of that I am certain. šŸ‘
  9. Indeed, only the highest quality is acceptable these days. 🤣
  10. Activate Hey Kia in the voice command settings. Upon activation, it may thereafter be enabled via voice commands. Additionally, you may activate the voice command by pressing the button on the steering wheel. For instance, you may state: "Hey Kia, activate the passenger heated seat to level 3." Activate the driver's heated seat to level 3, Kia. Activate the heated steering wheel, Kia. You may deactivate them in the same manner or adjust the levels.
  11. If the air springs are original, I would consider replacing them at the age of 10 years, since their lifespan is likely nearing its end.
  12. The primary distinction between authentic springs and quality aftermarket options (which I would only install from Bilstein) is that the Mercedes-Benz springs are specifically tagged to the vehicle based on its specifications, hence they can only be bought using the chassis number. Authentic springs are distinguished by various coloured paint marks that should correspond with the original markings on your vehicle. These markings indicate minor weight variations based on your vehicle's specifications, as well as different suspension configurations such as standard, Sportline, etc. Aftermarket springs may lack precise coding for specific vehicles; however, purchasing OEM components, such as Bilstein, and verifying your chassis number against the manufacturer's website should yield a part of comparable quality to the original. In such instances, I recommend replacing components in pairs due to potential minor specification discrepancies. Alongside the springs, it is advisable to change the rubber shims, which are specifically coded to the vehicle and vary in thickness, identifiable by the number of 'bumps'—ranging from one on the thinnest to four on the thickest. In an optimal scenario, components like springs and shocks ought to be replaced in pairs (similar to tires) across an axle. However, akin to a punctured tire, it is permissible to replace a solitary broken spring, provided that the corresponding spring on the opposite side is inspected and confirmed to be in satisfactory condition. During the examination of springs, assess the condition of the surface paint finish: if it has deteriorated, exposing any portion of the spring's bare metal, which is prone to rust in our humid climate and particularly after exposure to road salts, the resulting corrosion can render the spring highly vulnerable to failure. Springs are susceptible to failure under very cold temperatures, as shown in recent conditions. As previously mentioned, failure at either extremity of a spring may be difficult to detect, and a fractured spring does not always result in a noticeable change in driving dynamics. I consistently examine my springs whenever the wheels are removed, whether for tire replacement or for the inspection or replacement of braking components. It is also advisable to inspect suspension components, including ball joints and drop links for anti-roll bars, whenever the wheels are removed.
  13. Contact Alex (I will send him your information shortly). He is mobile and services vehicles in Lightwater, so Guildford should not be a problem. For the next weeks, he is available just on weekends since he is occupied with pre-delivery tasks for Tesla.
  14. I apologise for my premature conclusion; I appreciate the additional picture! Amazon seems to offer aftermarket sets priced between £22 and £30. However, they constitute comprehensive packages for the whole vehicle. For instance, each cup holder, storage compartment, door handle, etc. I am sceptical that you will locate those mats as individual components without purchasing directly from Kia. Several individuals have proposed an other website similar to OEParts (conduct a forum search), which might serve as another option given that you possess the component number in your image.
  15. I have purchased a map, so at least the satellite navigation is arranged. I believe the attached drive is intended to provide upgrades using over-the-air (OTA) technology; however, it has now been disabled for this model year. I will take it to BMW shortly for a recall and request an update, hoping they do not impose a price for the service. Thank you, gentlemen.
  16. Greetings, gentlemen. I acquired a 2017 330e. I am like it so far, however I am enquiring about the procedure for updating iDrive. Each Google search directs me to the BMW website for file downloads; however, I cannot locate any option to verify whether an update is necessary or where to get the files. I have a linked drive in the system, but it indicates that it is no longer operational, and I cannot locate any option in the vehicle for an over-the-air upgrade. The maps are from 2017, and I have encountered information indicating that the software I am using is outdated and that fresh upgrades are available. Can somebody provide clarification on this matter?
  17. Regrettably, there is always an additional issue.
  18. Thank you, KissezFun. Do you happen to know whether the 2.2 4WD is identical?
  19. Indeed, everything is as you said; but, my primary problem is to the noise. I am unable to post a video here, but the noise is really bothersome. I must resolve that issue first. Thank you for your assistance.
  20. Thank you. I will do an examination. Regarding the oil, everything has been replaced; however, I suspect the hoses for the gearbox are the issue, since they are leaking. The oil is red, which indicates it is gearbox fluid, if I am not incorrect.
  21. Apologies, I recently replaced the timing chain and oil pump. The vehicle emitted a metallic noise at approximately 1500 rpm, resembling a hissing sound, and a grinding noise at idle. However, after replacing the timing chain and oil pump, the hissing noise at 1500 rpm disappeared, yet the grinding noise at idle persists. Upon cold starting, the engine runs smoother than ever, but as it reaches operating temperature, it gradually resumes producing the grinding noise at idle. I initially suspected issues with the timing chain, but I remain uncertain about the underlying problem.Later that day, I went underneath the vehicle and saw a metallic grinding noise emanating from the starting located between the gearbox and engine connection. Additionally, the whole starter was coated in oil, as seen in the accompanying image.I would appreciate any advise that might be provided.Thank you.
  22. Greetings. I began to detect a grinding noise emanating from the lower section of the engine, particularly from the starting motor, only when the engine is heated.Thank you for your assistance.
  23. Introduce solder between the post and clamp to eliminate the slack. Melting is unnecessary. A little roll of plumber's solder is available at a hardware shop.
