  1. Sure, that's for a diagnostic purpose. Are you looking for a local Mercedes expert?
  2. On average, a dealer will charge around £200 for an hour of diagnostics.
  3. Sharing your whereabouts could be useful. By the way, have you looked up "Mercedes independent" on the internet?
  4. There are solar chargers, although I am uncertain of their efficacy.
  5. I am unable to address your inquiry; nevertheless, a similar incident occurred with my friend's BMW several years ago. While we were in a parking lot, he activated the unlock button as we neared his vehicle, and another BMW of the same model and colour responded by beeping and unlocking as well. We drove a considerable distance, returned on foot to the other BMW to secure it, then walked back to his vehicle and departed.
  6. Have you attempted to configure it using the Mercedes Me application?
  7. Some Diesel Ingenium vehicles have reached 100,000 miles without troubles, while others have barely achieved 15,000 miles. Later versions from 2022 onwards may perform better. It is possible that their reliability is inferior to other manufacturers.
  8. Assess the condition of the 12V battery using a load test. It may appear satisfactory with a multimeter, but it may experience power loss when a load is applied.
  9. On my 204, it is all BF&BI! Persist in exerting effort; it may not be easy, however it is effective!
  10. Upon reflection, if you examine the rear of the turbo to the left, the brass-colored exit pipe connected to it has a clamp that attaches it to the exhaust; perhaps this is loose?
  11. That is astonishing! If it can be removed, the source should be readily apparent. If the engine is cold and you place your palm near the turbo by the exhaust, you may perceive the airflow. Exercise caution, as it will rapidly get hot.
  12. Clean the area, which may reveal the source of the new discoloration. When you refer to heat shields as being black, are you indicating the vertical silver shields located at the rear of the engine compartment? Is it dry black soil or oily black soil?
  13. Thank you for your response. I do not believe it is a fuel leak, since there is no odor of gasoline in the vehicle from the pump, which I would expect given its location under the seat. Although it is sealed by a base plate under the seat, I shall re-enter and examine it. There is unequivocally no leaking from the fuel injectors, as I have inspected for leaks post-drive and detected neither the odor of petrol nor any indications of leakage. The gasoline seems to deplete mostly in lower gears when driving in urban areas; however, while traveling on the A road at around 60-70 mph and at 2500-3000 RPM, the fuel gauge appears accurate. Thank you once again for your response; I will reposition the rear seat and reassess the pump.
  14. Greetings, everyone. I am experiencing a problem with my E46 (2001). Recently, the engine warning light illuminated. I purchased a code reader and received this code. P0313 Insufficient petrol in the tank. 2. Defective spark plugs and ignition wires 3. Defective injectors 4. Vacuum Leaks 5. Defective Fuel Sender Unit 6. Fuel Sender Unit harness is either open or shorted. 7. Inadequate electrical connection in the fuel sender unit. Frustrated by being overcharged by garages, I decided to do the job myself; while I am not a mechanic, I possess the necessary skills. I began troubleshooting. I replaced the fuel pump. Engine warning light persisted. Replaced the air intake pipe. Engine warning light remained on. Replaced the spark plugs. Engine warning light remained on. Replaced the fuel injectors. Engine warning light remained on. Replaced the Disa valve. At last, there is no engine warning light; but, I am now using double the amount of gasoline, particularly in the lower ratios. I reinstalled the original Disa valve, nevertheless excessive fuel consumption persists. I now comprehend the code. P0102 1. Malfunctioning mass air flow sensor 1. Air intake leaks 2. Contaminated mass air flow sensor 3. Contaminated bulk air filter The mass air flow sensor harness is either open or short-circuited. 5. Inadequate electrical connection in the mass air flow sensor circuit I replaced the whole MAF, however it continues to use excessive gasoline. I am perplexed; I have reviewed all my work and verified everything, only substituting the old with the new, and everything seems OK. Does anybody have any suggestions, please? Unless there is an electrical defect, which seems unlikely as fuel consumption was satisfactory prior to the replacement of any components. I would be grateful for any assistance.
  15. The manual release cable is used for instances where the charging cord becomes lodged. It seems that the standard door lock solenoid has malfunctioned. Not unusual. Dealer warranty assignment. I consistently lubricate my with silicone spray. Inserting and extracting it to ensure the removal of debris.
  16. Thank you everyone for the kind reception. Thus far, everything is ok. 🙂
  17. I just acquired my first 2015 Evoque, having desired one for an extended period. Previously, I opted for practical, inexpensive vehicles. However, with my father's recent passing, I decided to embrace life and pursue something I had longed for. Thus far, everything is satisfactory; I am really enjoying it! I wish you everyone a wonderful day. Thank you
  18. I will attempt to disconnect the battery terminal.
