The much-feared rebirth has now come.
Paulinelinker replied to Alex1978's topic in General Discussions
Last year, I had a contract with MoreThan for a total cost of £460. They have discontinued their vehicle insurance services and transferred me to Swinton upon renewal. Swinton provided a quotation of £2760. Saga requested around £3300. Currently, the price of Admiral is £856. -
Greetings, everybody. I intend to remove the model identification off the rear of my vehicle. I am inquiring about the most optimal approach to do this task. Specifically, what is the most effective method to eliminate the remaining residue without using a mechanical device? Thank you in advance.

I often provide positive feedback on impressive automobiles, especially those made by Mercedes-Benz, and I consistently get favourable reactions. I possess the ability to quickly and accurately assess if someone is approachable or compatible for engaging in conversation or humour. My judgements in this regard are often accurate. Evidently, CyberNinja made an error on this occasion, the wretched individual.

p0296 / I believe I have tried every possible solution...
Paulinelinker replied to MrGreedy's topic in General Discussions
At cold engine, the temperatures and barometric pressure should nearly resemble the ambient outside temperatures. The barometric pressure is determined by the location where you reside. An alternative approach would be to capture screenshots of all the content and thereafter share it on this platform. Additionally, I would examine the fuel trims. First, do a Key-On Engine-Off (KOEO) test. Then, observe the engine's behaviour at idle while it is in closed loop mode. Additionally, monitor the engine at about 2500rpm to get insight into the current situation. -

Regarding the R50, I am uncertain. However, in our case, there exists a bleed valve located at the end of the fuel rail. Connect to this valve and proceed to prime the system. -

It is important to consider examining real-time data, particularly in frigid conditions, to see whether the temperatures, barometric pressure, and other factors are reasonable. There may be an error in the reporting. Subsequently, what are the fuel pressure measurements at the prime, idle, and wide open throttle conditions? Are these values credible? -

Okay, there are no air leaks that are not being measured. -

The system is experiencing a lean condition. I recommend doing a smoke test to identify any potential leaks that may be causing the introduction of unmeasured air. -

I admire people who are able to pose such questions. -
One specific component that I am considering is the auxiliary drive belt, which requires annual replacement. Is that included inside the expense of the service? Another aspect that caught my attention is if the presence of Kia-exclusive components and fluids would significantly restrict the support that breakdown services like Green Flag can provide. Does this imply that there will be no alternative but to have your vehicle transported to a Kia dealership even for a very minor mechanical failure?
-
When I said the 'magic fluids,' I was specifically referring to the enigmatic coolant fluid that is only available for purchase from Kia. It is most likely to be a product that is widely available, however they attempt to create the perception that it is exclusively their own, allowing them to set the price at their discretion.
-
Regarding the aforementioned prices: The prices for different quantities are as follows: - 30,000 units cost £166.98 - 40,000 units cost £300.02 - 50,000 units cost £167.04 - 60,000 units cost £357.00 Are you implying that the sum mentioned covers the expenses for the repair of the battery coolant drive belt and all the specialised fluids particular to Kia?
-
It seems that one or two individuals have misconstrued my message entirely. My statement was that the tasks mentioned in the service schedule had the potential to be executed by almost anybody. I also have an aversion to words such as "CHECK various items" due to their lack of specificity, leaving room for ambiguity and the possibility of overlooking some items without any means of verification. My encounter with a certain Kia dealer left me with a negative impression, as it seemed that the practice of upselling was ingrained in the company's culture. Consequently, I now have reservations about the service I could get in the future. In addition, I have doubts about my faith in any organisation that has GB News as the default station of their television inside the client waiting room.
-
Although my service is not scheduled until June, I would appreciate if someone could provide me with an estimate of the expected cost. Upon reviewing the components included in the service for which you are charged based on the designated plan, it seems that there is no task that cannot be performed by an unskilled mechanic. I am acquainted with an automotive technician who departed from one of the Kia dealerships in my area due to his profound aversion to the incessant managerial insistence on maximising sales by promoting additional products or services at every available chance. According to the Kia website, their Service Plan encompasses the expenses associated with your Kia's regular maintenance, which includes the price of components, labour, and VAT. The exclusion applies to supplementary components not included in the regular timetable, such as brake pads, windscreen wipers, and tyres. Neither the driving belt nor the special magic fluids that need replacement are mentioned. Considering the dubious reputation of one of these dealers, I am apprehensive about the possibility of the about £450 amount quoted being inexplicably increased after all the additional charges are included. Does anybody own any valuable experiences to share?

Acquiring a (fresh) R8 [Assistance Needed!]
Paulinelinker replied to Chrishazle's topic in General Discussions
Well done! Based on your budget, desired noise level of your R8, and patience, I just had the opportunity to visit the Secret Weapon facility in Sao Paulo a few weeks ago, and I am now their most enthusiastic supporter. The upcoming R8 exhaust, manufactured using 3D metal printing technology, is undeniably the most exceptional-sounding 5.2 exhaust I have ever encountered. The product includes headers and is priced more, but it also produces a sound similar to that of a V12 engine. In my opinion, I had Quicksilver installed on my previous V8 engine and it produced the most pleasing sound among all the V8 engines I have encountered. I can only think that a V10 engine would sound even more impressive. -

Can someone verify whether the engine of the facelifted R8 is positioned 10mm lower, has more power, and exhibits higher speed compared to the pre-facelift R8? I highly question the veracity of any of those claims. Over time, the level of power should remain constant. -
Thank you for this! Excellent contribution! "According to a spokesperson for the company, they remain committed to converting up to 90 percent of their rental fleet in Europe to electric vehicles within the next ten years." "It has recently entered into an agreement to purchase approximately 100,000 BYD vehicles by the year 2028." "The BYD rollout will commence in Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the UK, with vehicles being introduced to the fleet this year." This statement supports the previous claims of the successful eradication of ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) in commercial use within a span of seven years. By the year 2030, 90% of the energy used will be electric. As China competes with Tesla and expands its presence in the European Union, we may anticipate significant reductions in pricing and operational expenses. Today, I conversed with a few individuals who have decided to get a Tesla Model Y due to its affordable monthly leasing expense of about £400. A £400 expense that is eligible for tax deduction. (This is in contrast to my recommendation that the Tesla is of poor quality)''

Are you referring to saloon car racing?
-
Having achieved the title of F1 World Champion three times, the individual in question unfortunately encounters a negative response from the computer. It is bothersome when you have travelled to Faro with your friends using three private aircraft and rented a fleet of twenty high-performance automobiles for a few days of racing at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve racing track. Fortunately, we no longer experience such occurrences! https://www.the-sun.com/sport/9933230/max-verstappen-blocked-mercedes-portugal/

Device for measuring the concentration of oxygen
Paulinelinker replied to Paulinelinker's topic in General Discussions
Examined the back pressure sensor and saw a little accumulation of soot in the orifice. Cleaned the sensor, but the issue remained unresolved. Inspected the actuator arm and questioned if there should be any rattling in the linkage or whether it should fit tightly. Please advise. -

Thank you, gentlemen. It would be preferable to acquire either the Star or the iCarsoft MB2 diagnostic tools. I believe the back pressure sensor is a suitable starting point for investigation. The tail pipes are completely black, and there is a slight emission of black smoke during intense acceleration. It is possible that the back pressure sensor is responsible for the hesitation or sensation of blockage. When driving normally, the vehicle accelerates initially but then experiences the aforementioned blockage sensation, prompting a downshift and subsequent gear change, only to encounter the blockage sensation once more. -

My concern is that when I accelerate, I have to press the gas pedal harder because it feels like there is an obstruction. I suspect that the O2 sensor may be responsible for this issue, as it could be sending incorrect fuel mixture information. Consequently, the catalytic converter may have become clogged, which could explain the sensation of driving with an obstruction. -

No issue, thank you, buddy. Do you have a component number available for the replacement?
