AMG SL55 or Mercedes-Benz SL500? Refusing to Make a Call
Paulinelinker replied to MrGreedy's topic in General Discussions
In my opinion, the availability of parts is an issue that has been there for some time and is just becoming worse. I recently sold my 2009 CLK and the convertible top sensor was not available. -
Automatic Bluetooth for Android Vehicles

On the wifi dongle forum, someone suggested using as little as possible. I chose the tiny CarLink, and it's great. -
Yeah, the only thing is that I personally just have BimmerCode, so I'll have to search around then. With the new intake's bar and flaps removed, I figured I could get away with it.

Hello everyone seeking guidance from an expert I just replaced the intake manifold in my 2c3200 and am now attempting to repair the swirl flap. I would like not to deal with the issue of recalibrating as I do not own ista. Reading this, I was considering the possibility that I may either 1. fasten my own actuator without resetting it by removing flaps while keeping the bar in place 2. Acquire the bung that I now possess by removing the bar and flaps. Would either of these choices not need an Ista reset? Also, what's your recommendation? Getting good gas mileage isn't essential to me, therefore I've removed the flaps from all of my BMWs without a problem. grateful for any feedback

An Inquiry Concerning Cabin Pollen Nets
Paulinelinker replied to WiseSage's topic in General Discussions
Fitting them at the primary dealer's expense was ridiculous. With the help of a nice man at an auto shop, I was able to find a replacement and install it in about a minute. The total cost is around £9 per year. -
'Two Piece' AMG wheels (R129) wanted.
Paulinelinker replied to MrGreedy's topic in General Discussions
These wheels are indeed the original three-piece AMG wheels. He only keeps them in his garage with his R129 91' SL500; he has no plans to restore them. -

These are probably sitting in a friend's garage, awaiting restoration. -
Be sure to review your insurance policy, since some may have lost important coverage.
-
Sure, that's for a diagnostic purpose. Are you looking for a local Mercedes expert?
-
On average, a dealer will charge around £200 for an hour of diagnostics.

Sharing your whereabouts could be useful. By the way, have you looked up "Mercedes independent" on the internet?

Low rail pressure won't start the BMW e46 330D M57D30.

For m57, I'd go with the e46. -

There are solar chargers, although I am uncertain of their efficacy.

What is the uniqueness of Evoque keys and key fobs?
Paulinelinker replied to guyskin's topic in General Discussions
I am unable to address your inquiry; nevertheless, a similar incident occurred with my friend's BMW several years ago. While we were in a parking lot, he activated the unlock button as we neared his vehicle, and another BMW of the same model and colour responded by beeping and unlocking as well. We drove a considerable distance, returned on foot to the other BMW to secure it, then walked back to his vehicle and departed. -

Have you attempted to configure it using the Mercedes Me application? -
Some Diesel Ingenium vehicles have reached 100,000 miles without troubles, while others have barely achieved 15,000 miles. Later versions from 2022 onwards may perform better. It is possible that their reliability is inferior to other manufacturers.

Assess the condition of the 12V battery using a load test. It may appear satisfactory with a multimeter, but it may experience power loss when a load is applied. -

Best of luck, friend.

Upon reflection, if you examine the rear of the turbo to the left, the brass-colored exit pipe connected to it has a clamp that attaches it to the exhaust; perhaps this is loose?
-
That is astonishing! If it can be removed, the source should be readily apparent. If the engine is cold and you place your palm near the turbo by the exhaust, you may perceive the airflow. Exercise caution, as it will rapidly get hot.
