Advice for motorway driving with a 2007 BMW E92 335i
Darrellll replied to Ortsmatt's topic in General Discussions
The outcome is contingent upon the urgency of the sale; if you can afford to wait weeks or months, you may get a higher price, albeit the exact increase is unpredictable. -
Is the 316 experiencing a loss of power in rainy conditions?
Darrellll replied to SkippyTom's topic in General Discussions
The DSC module has a brake drying mechanism that activates while the wipers are in use, applying little braking pressure to dry the discs, which should be imperceptible to the driver. The modules may malfunction, resulting in excessive braking force when the drying function is engaged. You own three alternatives. Replace DSC. 2. Dispatch the DSC for repair to ECU testing or a comparable facility. Eliminate the coding for brake drying. -
Thank you; I shall examine them. I believe I have encountered them before, to be honest.

I will examine the birds soon. There are less costly torsion or helical differentials that I presume would suffice for my requirements compared to a pricier clutch type. I have also seen several little packages that can be accommodated inside a standard differential. I am now contemplating one of those options; however, more investigation is necessary since it seems quite subpar.

I am contemplating the acquisition of a limited-slip differential and need your advice: Should I purchase a pre-owned unit or go for a new one? A pre-owned item is likely to be somewhat worn and maybe less expensive. Require a reconstruction? A new unit will be acquired, requiring startup costs but no reconstruction. I am capable of doing all the necessary labor to install the physical device, plus I know an individual who can provide shimming services for a fee. I own a 323i Touring, equipped with a late ZF transmission (presumably) and a medium case (again, presumably), with a 2.93 gear ratio to the best of my knowledge. I am also contemplating a little increase in ratio. Thus, whether new or pre-owned. I presently have around $1,000 in my budget. Thank you, everyone.

That is what perplexed me. As stated under warranty, allow the dealer to resolve the issue; you have compensated them sufficiently. -
Crankshaft bearings of the 535d (2012) are defective.
Darrellll replied to Matt865's topic in General Discussions
Indeed, I have been asserting this for several years; the police have also eliminated them. Although not ubiquitous, it is nevertheless excessively frequent for me to procure another. As Johnny mentioned last week, it appears that the oil pump fails due to one or two factors, subsequently leading to the deterioration of the crank bearings. -
I am enquiring if, despite the boot latch being nonfunctional and feeling loose as if it has detached inside, I should still be able to access the boot using the door switch or key.
-
No, I believe the release handles are located in the boot.
-
No, it is a coupe.
-
Greetings, everyone. Require guidance on the opening of a W209 trunk. The latch fails to open the trunk (moves freely), and I am unable to access it by any other means, including the key or the door switch. Are there other methods to access the boot for maintenance purposes? Thank you one again.

A District Judge in County Court has little influence. -
Filter medium for HVAC intake vents

What is the location of these vents? I have own a P38 for some years without altering them. -
If the headlight reflector is only filthy and not broken, it may be cleaned safely. Conduct a search on the maintenance of telescope mirrors and adhere to the guidelines provided. The process is introducing a heated amalgamation of alcohol, distilled water, and pure soap into the headlamp, agitating it, and then performing a rinse with distilled water before drying. I performed this to clean my motorbike headlight reflector which at the time was 40 years old and extremely dull. It significantly enhanced the light output.

The transformation of washer fluid into a gelatinous substance is a prevalent problem, often resulting from the amalgamation of several windscreen washer fluids. Adhere to a single brand, and such an occurrence should be avoided. The gasoline flap should have been a warranty issue; however, because it was caused by the filler cap strap being lodged in the hinge, the dealer would contend that it resulted from user mistake. I am not advocating for this; I am only presenting an alternate perspective. The gasoline flaps on Kia vehicles seem to be susceptible to not aligning properly, and several discussions on this issue exist here. Maintain the fuel cap handle in a horizontal position, since this seems to be an effective option for the majority.

What is the extent of the corrosion? Merely superficial matters? whether so, I would do many abrupt stops from speeds over 60 mph to see whether it improves their condition.
-
I was referring to a broader context, not only automobile manufacture. For instance, what if the expertise and capability to manufacture high-octane gasoline were to be lost? Consequently, high compression (SI) engines are not feasible. However, we cannot be quite certain that we will not need a high compression (SI) engine at some point in the future. Such matters.

Connect a set of jump leads to another vehicle and allow it to idle for a short while. This will provide sufficient charge for the C-tek to operate.

I am uncertain on the nature of your grievances. The cost was £40 for each upgrade at the dealership, with no option for self-service, even inside the first year. You now own an alternative.

Somewhat peculiar My 2023 Excel Hybrid 2L had little engine vibration, but only within a certain narrow RPM range, which may have been attributable to the vehicle being new and during the break-in period; hence, some engine harshness was anticipated. Aside from that, the ride was pleasant on most highways. The new MK2 CHR Hybrid PHEV 2L is notably more refined and silent.
