Rescued an E350 CDI coupe from certain destruction!

Excellent work! I hope the automobile was inexpensive to acquire. Was there a genuine problem with the oil cooler seals, or was it a precautionary measure since the turbo was removed? -
Toyota, Kia, and Hyundai have been the most dependable vehicles I have ever had. Vauxhall and Mercedes occupy the second position, but with a considerable gap. The quality of Renault was deplorable.

3,000 is not a substantial amount for the three-pot.

My Qashqai prompts a gear change at 2,000 RPM, regardless of whether I am driving uphill, downhill, accelerating aggressively, or applying light pressure on the accelerator; at 2,000 RPM, the indicator activates. The engine does not reach the redline until above 6,000 RPM, and the Variable Valve Timing (VVT) activates until about 3,500 RPM, which does not affect the system either. I alter my driving when the engine indicates it is optimal and in accordance with my current driving style.

Do not exceed the first click until you are certain there is capacity in the tank. The vapor canister may get inundated, resulting in the illumination of a warning light.

Exercise caution with the last plastic component that forms the upper section of the boot next to the back seats. The clamps securing this component are quite rigid. Upon reflection, I believe there exists a more effective method to completely retract the carpet. Perhaps starting at the midpoint of the boot? I have never explored this path. I recall having access beneath the carpet before completely removing the plastic trim. I believe it is compressed downward from the trim above and then inward towards the boot, namely in the central region where more flexibility is seen. It should enough to provide an opening for observation and photography.

I own an S205 (C43). Upon removing the parcel shelf device, a little screw will be revealed, facilitating the detachment of the plastic trim piece that accommodates the parcel shelf tang. By elevating the rear seatbelt where it traverses the top of the seat on that side, you may also discover an additional bolt securing another plastic trim piece. Upon their removal, you will get far more access to advance the carpet ahead. It may also be necessary to detach the rear door weather seal and the plastic trim along the side of the door to completely free the carpet. I had to detach the same section on my vehicle to remove the back seat belts, and I remember that carpet piece was rather troublesome. I cannot recall what was behind it, but I will review my photographs today, and if I discover anything pertinent, I will share it. There were occasional pieces of foam that had been installed by the manufacturer, undoubtedly to reduce the squeaks.

As I said, W204... Has anybody among you replaced the anti-roll bar linkage? The one I just worked on had an 18 mm nut and a Torx-like key to prevent rotation. However, the flip was constricted, requiring just a little adjustment with each turn; I doubted my ability to succeed. A through tool, such as a spark plug socket or a similar implement, would significantly simplify the task.

Thank you for the links. I recently saw online that the B&Q store is offering Nielsen products. We own many items from this brand, and they are satisfactory. Competent instrument at a reasonable cost.

Indeed, we own crow's foot wrenches and many ratchet spanners, Petrol Pete. The 1' items we own are excessively hefty and constructed from thick metal, which might impede the available area for their placement. The spanners are effective, although they did not provide sufficient leverage (the bolt is tight), but I ultimately succeeded. We own many sockets of the 6-point kind that have a 6-point spanner head for ratchet attachment. I searched online to purchase a set but was unable to locate any. It is likely just my spectacles that are dirty. 🙂 I thought I would inquire with you all. Thank you to everyone. Wishing you a productive week.

Greetings, everyone. How are you maintaining your well-being? May I inquire, please? In the garage (at the parents' home, parking area). We own many effective tools. I was doing a task involving the replacement of the anti-roll bar linkage. An 18mm ring spanner and a Torx were used to prevent the ball joint from rotating. As you are aware, they may be troublesome, and if the holder becomes dislodged... We have had difficulties before with BMW and Mercedes. Could you recommend any locations or companies that provide socket sets or individual sockets with a spanner head? Similar to the go/pass-through socket. I have seen many multi-spine options; nonetheless, I would like a 6-point configuration for a better fit, specifically 1/2 inch. Crow's feet are effective, however they might be cumbersome to maneuver in some areas. Thank you, everyone.

It is the epitome of nonsensical language; I am delighted that mine does not falter as well.

This should address all your questions. -
Automatic gearboxes do not contain muck if coolant has not leaked from the radiator into them. Nearly all advice on gearbox service (draining, flushing, avoiding overfilling, etc.) is based on misconceptions. The oil remains viable provided the vehicle is not left to deteriorate in a damp environment for years, and the filter remains unobstructed if the clutch packs are not disintegrating due to damage. A well functioning gearbox may go 200,000 miles on the original fluid without issues.

Is it not possible to polish them on-site?

I utilise a traditional adds 1/2 cover to safeguard my CLK soft top. Functions well, is sufficiently lightweight, and fits easily. I saw many more tiny scratches after the first winter; most were removed with polish.

Thank you

I have changed the battery and alternator, nevertheless the vehicle stalls when I activate the lights; the screw shifts with the inner component of the terminal.

How difficult would it be to replace the positive terminal, since it does not secure to the battery and is causing battery depletion?

An illuminated EML will always result in failure.
