  1. I have identified the source of the leak. The specific region shown in the image will not be dismantled today due to it being Sunday, and the unavailability of necessary components. Additionally, I am required to attend work tomorrow. I have reason to believe that there may be a leak either from the gasoline return line or the pressure regulating valve. I have also attached a diagnostic kit and all fuel pressure readings seem to be within acceptable limits. The fuel pressure reaches the desired pressure level. I am optimistic that it will be the gasoline line for the return journey. I will inform all of you promptly after I have resolved the matter. Thank you.
  2. Indeed, that is very beneficial. I will start an investigation and provide you with updates. I am optimistic about locating a leak.
  3. Indeed, I have inspected the engine compartment with the hood off. My vision was completely impaired. Are there any concealed gasoline pipelines located at the rear of the engine? Because I have a hunch that it is located someplace in the rear of the engine, but I am hesitant to remove the manifold without knowing the specific location and purpose of what I am searching for. An illustration depicting the arrangement of gasoline pipelines in the engine compartment would be beneficial. Thank you.
  4. Greetings, I am now facing a severe fuel leakage problem with my e87 120d m47d20. Initially, the issue was little, so I neglected it. However, it has now escalated to a significant extent. Could you maybe provide guidance on where to begin investigating the source of this leak? Based on the significant quantity of leakage, I presume that the issue is related to a hose. I have included a video clip showing the leakage from underneath the vehicle.
  5. Are diesel cars a good choice to buy in these days?
  6. The rings are made of coated plastic metal nitride. If they were used in a 2-stroke engine, they would be considered the best option. I have been changing these rings for a minimum of 10 years, and they always result in a decrease in oil use, often eliminating the need for oil altogether.
  7. There is just one correct method to do them thoroughly, which involves completely removing all impurities and completing the task in a single attempt.
  8. If the roof mechanism on my friend's CLK cabriolet is comparable to the one on my R129 SL, then there is likely a relay located close to the pump in the trunk, which is known to be a common cause of issues. Following that, you may examine microswitches (with available diagnostic methods), which may get filthy from lack of usage if the roof has not been used for an extended period of time. Occasionally, if the issue is just a result of the roof not being used for a while, manually unclipping and moving it back and forth will resolve the problem. However, it is necessary to have the emergency release tool and follow the instructions in the owner's handbook to manually raise and lower the roof.

  10. I too own a 2014 vehicle and I am now considering upgrading the head unit. Which conversion kit and Alpine model did you utilise?
  11. The car is equipped with current technology, eliminating physical buttons and relying only on electronic controls. It has an MBUX display, as seen in the video.
  12. The car is contemporary, lacking actual buttons for this feature, since electronic controls are now prevalent.
  13. The MBUX display can only be accessed when the ignition is turned on. There is no physical key to take from the key fob, and the automobile automatically locks itself soon after.
  14. I am unable to activate the internal motion and tow away sensor on the display. Despite the internal sensor functioning well, when I secured the vehicle and remained inside, the alarm was triggered. Please refer to the video for more clarification.
  15. I have just returned home after engaging in heli skiing in Alaska this morning. It is rather costly...
  16. This often occurs when the fan control unit loses its CAN-bus connection with the engine or AC controller. To safeguard the engine, the radiator fan(s) are set to operate at maximum speed. However, this scenario often leads to the generation of error codes. Regardless: Inspect the cables and connectors for any faulty connections, corrosion, or misalignment of the contact components in the plugs or sockets. There have been instances when workshops have mistakenly changed controllers due to error messages indicating a lost connection, incorrectly supposing that the hardware (controller) was faulty. Several electrical issues may be attributed to mechanical faults. I strongly recommend that those who want assistance do the necessary inspections on their own. An especially troublesome issue that has arisen is the use of "Z-joints". Auto manufacturers have used the practice of including joints inside cable harnesses to reduce costs, specifically for the purpose of sharing a ground connection. Indeed, there have been several instances of this, leading to a range of issues that are not always straightforward to resolve. Yet another ill-advised move, in my humble opinion, has been the use of excessively thin wires in harnesses designed for sensors that are not capable of carrying substantial electrical currents. If a harness is bent carelessly for whatever reason, the tiny wires are stretched past their breaking point, resulting in the creation of open circuits. This leads to inaccurate sensor measurements.
  17. Apologies, I have now realised that the link I sent with you is intended for the year 2018 and beyond. To access the online BMW owners guides, just input your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at the following website: https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/topics/owners/bmw-owners-guide.html Was an owner's guide not included with the car? It is possible that you may also locate a hyperlink to a PDF version elsewhere. Thus far, I have not come across any internet information indicating that anything should be shown on the bottom area of the left dial.
  18. Insufficient power during heavy load can be attributed to a blocked air filter, split intake pipes, or collapsing intake pipes.
  19. I believe they are secured in place by six clips on each side. It seems that the clips are included with the product, but they can also be bought individually. HC1 Clip DBE500013 Weatherstrip refers to a narrow strip of material used to seal gaps and prevent the entry of air, water or dust into a building or vehicle./text Regarding the chassis numbers, the range starts at AA000001 and the quantity is 12. Most likely, just replacing the clips will enough to resolve the issue.
  20. I need the replacement of two door seals on my spouse's vehicle. She expressed dissatisfaction with the price of the door seals until I informed her that she could get all four door seals for the same price as a single inner door seal for my automobile. Occasionally, it is necessary to see things from a broader and more objective standpoint.
  21. The components for the 2005-2009 and 2010-2013 models are identical, hence the chassis number is irrelevant. The weatherstrip with the LR018083 part number is 51222. Satin Black Left-hand side Applicable to chassis numbers: starting from AA000001 Quantity: 1 Weatherstrip with the LR018084 part number is available at 51222. The colour of the object is Satin Black and it is labelled as RH. Chassis numbers start at AA000001. Quantity: 1.
