  1. It's possible that you've misremembered or that the mechanic was being completely forthright. When the wipers unexpectedly stop working, you may be able to get them to start moving again by jiggling the stalk or flipping it between speeds. In most cases, all it takes is removing the cover and giving the relay a quick scrub with contact cleaner to fix the problem. In my twenty years of ownership, I think he did the same thing, and I did it maybe twice or thrice. Strangely enough, I never got around to attaching the NOS multifunction stalk—the second possibility—but I still have it. As far as I am aware, the easy-entry feature was not available on any R129 model year, and it has nothing to do with the seat's movement or memory. Some parts might be partially or completely substituted for it (spec dependent) Those early automobiles with electrically adjustable center mirrors always broke because drivers were so unprepared for them and ended up shoving them about by hand. The backrest will automatically lift if you tilt the seat backwards, protecting you from bumping against the bulkhead. Holding the forward-facing clasp causes the seat to glide forward automatically, allowing you to enter
  2. Interesting! I actually phoned them this afternoon abd the representative explained the same thing. He said the segregated account structure was designed to protect both the customer and the company until the inspection period had passed.
  3. Does anyone know if they accept card payments? I'd usually prefer a credit card for the extra protection.
  4. Thanks for getting back to me; I find that intriguing.
  5. You can see an independent... under the JLR warranty!?
  6. It sounded like it was either missing or uneven at intersections, and it sounded like the injector's crush washer had failed.
  7. I was curious, but it came from a service station's shell garage. Premium diesel is the only kind I use. Still, I suppose it's possible.
  8. Salutations Everyone, These problems started happening yesterday after I filled up the diesel tank. Is anyone here with any thoughts or suggestions?
  9. Well, I've seen more than my fair share, and they're real!
  10. In my opinion, you shouldn't get these since they're over an inch larger in diameter than the original measurements, which can cause insurance problems in addition to the fact that they won't fit your car.
  11. Without a doubt, the front tires should be 235/40R18 and the rear tires 255/35R18.
  12. Oh, so it's wireless? I failed to notice that portion. Now it's really easy, and the Garmin gets its juice from the lighter. Now I understand. That is really cool. The fact that the canbus isn't displaying a problem code isn't surprising, however, considering this is a 2012 E class vehicle with the typical electrical components like lights and wires. My prior MB E class was a 2010 model, and I had no trouble wiring a caravan plug directly with a regular relay. My 2014 E-class Saloon, however, is part of the canbus system, thus things changed after 2013. Still, if you have a little battery in the boot, like mine does, and you can set it to turn on and off with the reversing light LED connection, that should work.
  13. The explanation is clear and concise. Did the canbus system change when you disconnected the positive and negative leads from the reversing light? Is a relay another option? Would you be so kind as to provide more detailed instructions on how to run the wire from the camera to the dashboard? Was it necessary to elevate the carpet or remove the side panels? Thank you for sharing this. Now I'm considering doing the same thing with my W212.
  14. Drive gently ahead while pressing the parking button. The parking graphic, not the rearview camera, should appear. There are a number of distance lines on each sensor. It might be useful in locating the problem. The bumper wire loom can be the problem if everything else fails. They seem to have been off lately because the plug is so easy to stretch. Also, the module that detects parking. There are threads regarding this on the forum; personally, I've never taken the panel off the boot and looked under the fuse boxes, but that's where I suppose it is.
