I examined the mounting location for the gearbox cooler today and noticed that the condenser is not secured on the right-hand side, suggesting that the radiator may have been swapped by someone. Regardless, I am uncertain, and I may need to detach the complete bumper, anticipating that my vehicle would be out of service for a week, as it might get rather complicated. Dismantling will be required to accommodate the cooler at the front.

Indeed, I can do this and own the necessary tools; but, I considered addressing the surfaces with fine-grade sandpaper beforehand. Additionally, detaching the bumper may facilitate the installation of the aftermarket gearbox cooler, and I may repaint the black grilles at the bottom if I remove them. Execute everything in a single attempt.

Thank you.

Hello again, can the headlights on my W203 be detached without removing the bumper? may refine or cleanse them. Thank you.

I own an older Subaru and a new CX-30. I have observed that when the Subaru is left unused for a week or two while I am travelling, the disc brakes emit a faint grinding noise until the vehicle is used for a while. As OldFart indicates, I relate this phenomenon to a superficial layer of rust that dissipates rapidly with use.

2022 Tucson Ultimate Hybrid - Electrical wire damage
Mistral replied to jimmy47785's topic in General Discussions
They may as well coat them with bacon grease while they are at it. -
I successfully updated my HEV. The vehicle began in electric vehicle mode and thereafter alternated between electric and engine power over the 28-minute duration. The USB is always powered.

The resolution is contingent upon the specific problem, since there are little motors inside the headlamp that regulate the levelling. It may be the minor motor or the intervening wire. A competent local garage should be able to resolve the problem for you, or if you possess mechanical skills, you may be able to address it yourself. If feasible, consider shifting the headlights to the other side to see whether the issue is with the headlamp or the wiring.

The accurate equivalent should be Bosch 0 281 006 447.

There should be no need to reset adaptations.

Conduct a thorough run every few weeks to maintain its optimal condition. Regularly replace the engine oil. Appreciate the vehicle and explore further regions of the nation - indulge in fine cuisine and unwind. Life is ephemeral; savour it.

Most often, both options are applicable. Indeed, I have been according to the instructions provided by the computer. However, as of late, my annual mileage has been consistently below 5,000 miles. Do you bring your vehicle in for regular oil changes? Is it possible to have the actions you do yourself recorded in the iDrive system?

I understand, thank you for clarifying. I am astonished that the program lacks the functionality to automatically do the task of downloading existing records from the automobile, clearing them, and then re-uploading them. Being a former software developer, I would have definitely considered including it as an option. However, there could be some internal constraints preventing its feasibility.

The displayed information just includes the name of the garage, "Date: 06.09.2024 Service: B Smith", without showing a numerical identification. The BMW entries are shown in the format "Date: 27.09.2023 Service: 01234 BMW". However, the numeric ID does not seem to play a role in the sorting process. It is solely based on the date, apart from any other factors.

Thank you. The approach seems to be inadequate, since organising the information in chronological order is a fundamental and evident need. Presumably, BMW employs a distinct mechanism that operates differently from the aftermarket products in some manner.

Yesterday, I had my 2016 F10 520d serviced by a local independent mechanic. This was the first time my car was serviced by someone other than a BMW dealer. Upon inspecting the Service History section of the i-Drive, I was disheartened to see the absence of a record for yesterday's service. However, I later saw that the information was really there, but not in the anticipated sequence. The previous entries are arranged chronologically, with the most recent one appearing at the top of the list. However, the new independent entry is located at the bottom. Is it customary for non-BMW submissions to always be treated this way, or is there a problem with this particular entry? The cost comparisons with my last BMW service, which was conducted two years ago, are intriguing. The independent retailer offered the components (oil, oil filter, and cabin filter) at a price that was £70 lower compared to BMW. It is likely that they used compatible parts instead of genuine BMW parts. The independent incurred an additional cost of £50 for labour. Presumably, the expenses for both components and workforce from BMW would have increased throughout those two years. Therefore, it is difficult to accurately determine the exact cost it would have been this year.

Inquiry about service plan and personalised registration number

Unfortunately, Attempted to input the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), but encountered an error indicating that it is not a legal registration number. It seems that I will need to contact or visit the dealership to resolve this issue. -

Inquiry about service plan and personalised registration number

Thank you for your response. Greetings, bvlenci. Interestingly, when I enter the original plate onto the Service Plan page, the vehicle seems to be nonexistent. It is unusual considering it is a demonstration for Mercedes-Benz. I attempted to contact MBServices via email and received a response instructing me to see my dealer. -
Seeking assistance or guidance, individuals. I just replaced my automobile, which was covered by a 4-year service plan. I terminated the contract and received a reimbursement, resulting in a satisfactory outcome. However, I own a personalised license plate that I have placed on retention for potential use in a vehicle exchange or other transactions. I have now successfully updated my DVLA and insurance information. After obtaining number plates for my new vehicle, I attempted to buy a new service plan online. However, I encountered an issue where the registration number on the Mercedes-Benz website consistently reverts back to my prior model. Is there a connection between MB and DVLA for database updates?

The upgrade resulted in some improvement, albeit it was starting from a somewhat subpar level. However, it still falls short of the desired performance for a high-end audio system, but it is now more tolerable than before.
