  1. Greetings, everyone! Could someone recommend a reputable valeting firm in the Surrey region, ideally around Guildford? I want to maintain my E350 in optimal shape, but I lack the time and suitable weather to do it, and I detest it being unclean. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Salutations
  2. As already said. I recommend scheduling a gearbox repair with a Mercedes-Benz expert, rather than a franchised dealer. Ensure they first scan the error codes using STAR and then provide their assessment on whether a gearbox service would rectify the problem. Purchasing an iCarsoft MB V2 or V3 allows you to delete problem codes and monitor their recurrence, provided you document the fault codes prior to deletion. Transmission issues are characterised by the fact that, even upon identification, there is little scope for DIY repair of the issue. If the error codes are cleared and do not reappear, everything is OK; nevertheless, it is still necessary to maintain the gearbox owing to its age and usage.
  3. What is the car's mileage? When was the gearbox last maintained? Furthermore, it must be compatible with STAR, or at the very least, with iCarsoft or a comparable system.
  4. Is your foot securely positioned on the brake pedal? Have you verified the ATF level? When was the gearbox last maintained?
  5. Are you certain this vehicle is an S212 and not a W212?

  7. They are also available for purchase on platforms such as eBay, particularly in the UK.

  9. The bolts with Torx heads located beneath the wheel arch liner posed the most difficulty when I removed the bumper. I recommend using a quality penetrating oil 15 minutes before to attempting to loosen them. I too want to replace these, since by the time I withdrew mine, the torx head was somewhat worn, and I lacked confidence in my ability to reinsert them or, if I succeeded, to extract them again in the future. Upon examining Partsouq, I believe the torx screws correspond to component number N 000000 000530. 4.8 mm x 22 mm self-tapping Torx head. To locate your precise model, examine the list for "attachment parts" towards the bottom, followed by "front bumper."
  10. I disagree. I performed the task on my W203 coupe, necessitating the removal of the bumper. However, it was a task manageable by a single individual, if one had an assortment of towels or old sheets to avoid scratching throughout the removal process. The duration ranged from 10 to 20 minutes, dependent upon the degree of rust on the screws and bolts accessed via the wheel arch liners.
  11. A W212 cannot be from 2019. W2l2 models operated from late 2009 until 2016.
  12. is unquestionably worthwhile. In addition to its velvety texture, it is breathable and waterproof, causing water to bead on the surface. It is possible to apply it on a wet vehicle, and the vehicle will subsequently dry underneath. I have one on my W221 all the time, and I've recently bought one for my S212. My only concern is that the covers perform optimally when they fit snugly, which leads me to avoid placing the cover on a filthy vehicle to prevent abrasion of the paintwork by the dirt. I am likely cleaning the vehicle more often than I normally would.

  14. An inadequate battery may prevent the back screen demister from activating. Have you indicated if the lock button on the dashboard functions properly for the central locking system?
  15. I am unaware of any factors that might cause both problems to manifest concurrently. Is the back screen heater fuse functional, and can you hear the relay engage when activated? Is your automobile battery in optimal condition? The wiring for the rear screen heater are located in the near-side hinge, whereas the diversity wires are situated in the offside hinge. I would see these as distinct flaws. If you identify a common factor that contributed to both failures, please share your results to assist other forum members.
  16. Did you disassemble any section of the mirror for improved access, or did you only apply spray from the exterior?
  17. I have attempted it several times using WD40, but without success. Do you have a specific product in mind that may be more effective? Did you first disassemble the mirror unit for improved access?
  18. The driver's side mirror on my 2009 E350 coupe has consistently emitted a groaning noise throughout the folding process since I acquired the vehicle, but recently it has been experiencing difficulty in unfolding. This often involves folding the mirrors in using the button, opening the driver's window, and then using the button to unfold the mirrors while gently moving the driver's mirror outward. I have previously used WD40; nevertheless, I believe it is necessary to completely remove and strip the mirror or replace it altogether. Has anybody encountered this problem before, and what is the difficulty level of removing and stripping the mirror? Do you have any more recommendations?
  19. Each day is an opportunity for learning. I have often contemplated it as well while examining earlier Benz models.
  20. You are correct. Japanese imports are smaller and more costly. Anyways. Got it reimbursed. Thank you.
  21. Right one is my. They polished it and placed back in since they couldn't obtain replacement immediately away.
  22. I purchased brake discs for my 2003 Japanese import W220 S500. I attempted to install it in the garage, but it was too large. Why would this be? Was I sold the wrong size, and do I now have aftermarket components installed? My brake calipers and brake pads are all mercedes.i have never replaced brake discs though.
