Greetings everyone, I have just had the rear subframe of my 2014 E63 estate inspected by Epsom MB. I undertook this action under the recommendation of my MB expert (SS Motors) after my MOT, which noted corrosion as an advised issue. MB Epsom is replacing the subframe at no cost as a gesture of goodwill, which I find quite gratifying. I have been scheduled as the components are available. The inquiry pertains to the supplementary components to be substituted when the frame is removed. I have been informed of new bolts, brake line repair, and bushings. Has anybody completed all of those tasks, or is it really a matter of having MB rebuild the subframe? Will they substitute the bushes with new ones or retain the existing ones? Has anybody installed polyurethane bushings to enhance rigidity further? Was riding comfort influenced by such factors? Thank you.

The E-Class offers somewhat more power and torque, albeit it utilises the same engine. The M274 is the new four-cylinder petrol engine for the whole range for the foreseeable future, as far as I am aware. It is undoubtedly an ingenious creation; yet, it is regrettable that little effort was devoted to enhancing its auditory appeal. It also serves as the foundation for the A45 AMG engine.

I expect the AMG line will have a more rigid ride owing to the firmer, sport-oriented suspension.

MOT failure due to a damaged coil spring on the Mercedes W211.
bvlenci replied to DreamWeaver's topic in General Discussions
The visibility of the break in the spring may vary depending on its location. Mercedes coil springs are tailored to the car and its array of optional features. The springs are accompanied with a code of coloured dots. I would like to await the appropriate components. -
Indeed, I believe I was rather hasty and inattentive when toasting bread this morning. 😝 I should have said that you should seek expert repair for optimal results, including smart or chip repair. While DIY is feasible, my execution would be conspicuously flawed.

Obtain a quotation from an auto body shop. They have been stripped to bare steel, as evident. If they are not completely ground down to eliminate the rust and properly treated, you will ultimately have a hole in your roof. While DIY is an option, the outcomes are likely to be subpar (at least, if I were to do this task, the results would be unsatisfactory).

The tyre pressure warning light activates after about one hour.

Measure the duration on the next outing. My Kuga exhibited consistent performance at all instances and distances for several weeks. -

My Ford Kuga loses signal after around 20 minutes or 7 miles of driving. I am not an expert; yet, it is what it is, to be honest. If you own a scanner, when the event occurs, remain still and verify the TPMS using the OBD2 connection. However, if you are certain it is none of those options, it necessitates a visit to MB, among others. They sleep while it is not being operated. -

I assume that one of your TPMS sensors may be defective. Potential reasons include depleted batteries or damage resulting from recent tire replacements. -
Greetings, everyone! Could someone recommend a reputable valeting firm in the Surrey region, ideally around Guildford? I want to maintain my E350 in optimal shape, but I lack the time and suitable weather to do it, and I detest it being unclean. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Salutations

As already said. I recommend scheduling a gearbox repair with a Mercedes-Benz expert, rather than a franchised dealer. Ensure they first scan the error codes using STAR and then provide their assessment on whether a gearbox service would rectify the problem. Purchasing an iCarsoft MB V2 or V3 allows you to delete problem codes and monitor their recurrence, provided you document the fault codes prior to deletion. Transmission issues are characterised by the fact that, even upon identification, there is little scope for DIY repair of the issue. If the error codes are cleared and do not reappear, everything is OK; nevertheless, it is still necessary to maintain the gearbox owing to its age and usage.

What is the car's mileage? When was the gearbox last maintained? Furthermore, it must be compatible with STAR, or at the very least, with iCarsoft or a comparable system.

Is your foot securely positioned on the brake pedal? Have you verified the ATF level? When was the gearbox last maintained? -
Are you certain this vehicle is an S212 and not a W212?

The bolts with Torx heads located beneath the wheel arch liner posed the most difficulty when I removed the bumper. I recommend using a quality penetrating oil 15 minutes before to attempting to loosen them. I too want to replace these, since by the time I withdrew mine, the torx head was somewhat worn, and I lacked confidence in my ability to reinsert them or, if I succeeded, to extract them again in the future. Upon examining Partsouq, I believe the torx screws correspond to component number N 000000 000530. 4.8 mm x 22 mm self-tapping Torx head. To locate your precise model, examine the list for "attachment parts" towards the bottom, followed by "front bumper."

I disagree. I performed the task on my W203 coupe, necessitating the removal of the bumper. However, it was a task manageable by a single individual, if one had an assortment of towels or old sheets to avoid scratching throughout the removal process. The duration ranged from 10 to 20 minutes, dependent upon the degree of rust on the screws and bolts accessed via the wheel arch liners.

W212 2019 E350 BlueEfficiency Sport Model Gearbox Undertray
bvlenci replied to DSM10000's topic in General Discussions
A W212 cannot be from 2019. W2l2 models operated from late 2009 until 2016. -
is unquestionably worthwhile. In addition to its velvety texture, it is breathable and waterproof, causing water to bead on the surface. It is possible to apply it on a wet vehicle, and the vehicle will subsequently dry underneath. I have one on my W221 all the time, and I've recently bought one for my S212. My only concern is that the covers perform optimally when they fit snugly, which leads me to avoid placing the cover on a filthy vehicle to prevent abrasion of the paintwork by the dirt. I am likely cleaning the vehicle more often than I normally would.
