Wood with a "Open Pore"

Greetings, Men!
To follow up on my previous comment, does anybody have any advice on maintaining the dark open-pore wood used in E-class vehicles?

If it's lacquered, all you need to do is wipe it off with diluted all-purpose cleaning.

I would think, just dust it, I wouldn't use any chemicals or cleaners on that.👍

(Owner's manual) Use a moist, lint-free cloth, such as a microfiber cloth, to wipe off the wooden trim and trim pieces.

For stubborn stains, Mercedes-Benz suggests using only official auto maintenance solutions.

After applying an APC, I use a trim dressing that mimics nature to finish the job.

Some of the black coating on mine has worn away at the corners, which is a bit of a letdown. My own just appeared "dried out" after only 4 years.
After going over it with wax a few times, I think it looks better. It's been waxed, but it still doesn't shine.
I tried touching up the damaged areas with black shoe polish, but it didn't help much. The next day, after letting "black bumper restorer" sit overnight, I buffed off the residue.

he anthracite open pore wood door to the cubby phone charging space is starting to fracture on my 2021 GLC.
Anyone anyone go through this..?
I wonder whether MB will take care of this because the vehicle is still under warranty.
