VWDaveBMW
Greetings, everyone. Last weekend, I acquired a 2015 F31 335D. During my journey back home, I saw a potential problem that I have researched on Google but have not been able to find a conclusive response to. According to the mdecoder website, one of the specified options for the vehicle was 'S6WA - Instrument Panel with Extended Scope'. I believe this refers to the supplementary digital screens located underneath the analogue gauges on the dashboard. The glass underneath the speedometer dial on my automobile is consistently empty. Is the purpose of the design to just replicate the form of the little display on the right for the sake of symmetry, or does it have a specific function for displaying something? I conducted an internet search for 'S6WA' in order to make a comparison, however the search results displayed several slightly varied variations, making it impossible to ascertain with complete certainty. I have also explored the iDrive settings for modifying the displayed content, and it seems that all options are selected. I cannot determine whether activating the screen is the only necessary step. Does anybody own a vehicle of comparable age that has the same instrument panel and can provide confirmation in either direction?
IrvesBMW
I am uncertain, but that seems incorrect to me. Collision.

Motoman
I conducted the Instrument test and had the following result.
Motoman
However, other videos and internet sources indicate that the left-hand pane should show the current fuel reserve in real-time. Consequently, I remain uninformed and uncertain about this matter.
Geek2232
Perhaps Bimmercode has configurable features that can be activated.
ByteStorm
From where did you make the purchase? If there is a defect, it should have been disclosed, and if the seller was aware of it but did not rectify it, they own the duty (in my opinion). Certainly, if it was obtained from authorised dealers or a reputable auto warehouse. It is essential for you to familiarise yourself with buyers' rights. VWDaveBMW
Purchased it from a dealership but want to verify the information before returning to them - I would seem foolish if it is really intended for the left panel to remain inactive.
ForumGuru
My previous F32 only used one side, thus it is possible that it is functioning as intended. As previously said, Bimmercode has the potential to enable the functionality on the other side.
Matt865
Apologies, I have now realised that the link I sent with you is intended for the year 2018 and beyond. To access the online BMW owners guides, just input your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at the following website: https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/topics/owners/bmw-owners-guide.html Was an owner's guide not included with the car? It is possible that you may also locate a hyperlink to a PDF version elsewhere. Thus far, I have not come across any internet information indicating that anything should be shown on the bottom area of the left dial.
