My standard procedure is to use long-nose pliers to slide up the small white locking tab, then squeeze it to remove the plug. I believe that higher-spec foxwell, autel, launch, isa, etc., will be able to handle it, but the 301 won't.

My apologies; I mistook it for having been replaced. If cleaning does not resolve the issue, the fault codes suggest a problem with the position sensing. Using a real Wahler valve is the way to go. In order for the ECU to learn the new valve positions, you must reset the adaptation with diagnostic equipment when you replace it.

There shouldn't be any noticeable vibration at 2000 rpm, even if the engine mounts are damaged. They should be as silky smooth as the petrol 6s, but with a gruffer tone, so the engine must be running extremely rough. You can still learn a lot about its performance from a live diagnostic, even if the dashboard lights aren't on. If the EGR and manifold have not been decarbonised recently, it is worth doing so as it may improve the running of diesels that become rough due to soot buildup.

I seriously doubt that BMW will extend any kind of assistance for a vehicle that is fourteen years old, regardless of its service history. It sounds more like something is going on with the belt run, so I would temporarily remove the aux belt and see if the noise continues.

It is a 2014 525d with an N47 engine; I have had a new intake manifold installed at the garage, which has improved performance significantly, yet there remains a minor power loss intermittently at motorway speeds along with a slight vibration.

I wanted to thank you and finish the thread. There was no need to replug the diagnostic tool after installing the 40ah auxiliary battery today; to my relief, the engine management light and drivetrain warning went away.

Based on my observations, the hybrid side is totally separate from the 2.0 engine, meaning the 12v system is identical to a regular 2.0i. This means that the spare battery can be easily replaced. After the replacement, my next question is whether the alarm will go off by itself.

Based on what I've discovered online, you can directly replace the small auxiliary battery; the only one you need to inform the software about when it's replaced is the boot battery.

Could you please tell me which 12v battery this is referring to? My 2016 330e has a small 12v battery under the hood, and I think that's the source of the 2228c8 fault. On my coder, I can see the amp hour rating and reset option for the larger 12v battery in the boot menu, but I can't find anything about the smaller 12v battery or resetting. This has me confused. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Greetings everyone, I recently obtained a stunning 2004 730LD, which was purchased with a diesel leak in the return pipes from the injectors. After several injectors and new return pipes were damaged, we uncovered that the flow from the tank was incorrectly connected to the return line and vice versa. The pipes have been properly installed and bled to the engine's pump, yet diesel fails to transfer from the pump to the injectors; I have loosened one injector, but there is no diesel emerging. What actions should I take at this moment, please? 🙏
