The ride was terrible once we struck a pothole.
br1anuk replied to br1anuk's topic in General Discussions
I appreciate your input. After conducting a trial, I have come to the realisation that the current height is indeed excessive. In fact, it is preferable for the height to be somewhat lower than the normal rims. This adjustment will be beneficial. The technician has identified the problem as a severely damaged bottom ball joint. -

Thank you for your contributions, gentlemen. Presently, my vehicle is undergoing inspection by my technician, to whom I have emphasised my awareness of an existing issue. Consequently, I have requested that they retain the vehicle until the concern is resolved, regardless of the duration required. Additionally, I would like to inquire about the recommended tyre pressures for the automobile. The vehicle in question is an F32 435D Xdrive model, equipped with 20" CSL wheels. The front tyres have dimensions of 245/35/20, while the rear tyres measure 275/30/20. I am curious to know if the specifications mentioned on the inner door label of the car will remain same or whether they will be altered due to the installation of these rims and tyres. I have inflated both the front and rear tyres to a pressure of 40 pounds per square inch (psi). However, I am now contemplating if this pressure level is excessive, perhaps leading to a more uncomfortable and bumpy riding experience. -

I have just undergone the installation of two new lower arms, which were priced at a total of 550 units of currency. The current state of the restored items resembles their previous condition, leading to uncertainty on whether or not they have been damaged beyond repair. Based on my observations, it seems that the rims are in satisfactory condition, as the tyre pressures have remained consistent and there is no noticeable vibration transmitted via the steering wheel. However, there is a little sensation of looseness and instability while traversing uneven road surfaces. Although I would want my technician to affirm that the vehicle is in good condition, I am aware that it is not performing as smoothly as it did before. In such a scenario, considering my own inclination towards perfection, I am inclined to sell the vehicle despite owning it for just six months. I will ensure that the springs and other potential causes are thoroughly examined. -

The vehicle has been scheduled for maintenance at my nearby location on Friday. I plan to park it and use my spouse's car until the inspection is completed. Given the expertise of the technicians, I am certain that they will identify any existing problems. I am particularly concerned about the condition of the wheels and hope that they are in excellent shape. There is no discernible presence of steering wheel instability. However, when encountering bumps, the vehicle exhibits a sensation of looseness or instability. This sensation is reminiscent of the experience I had when the lower arm bushes were deteriorated and required replacement, a mere month ago. Consequently, I express a sincere hope that the current condition has not resulted in their premature degradation. I will be capturing photographs and submitting them to the council for consideration. -
I had a significant impact when encountering a pronounced depression in the road, resulting in a visceral reaction of discomfort. The presence of a pothole may be described as an actual hole situated in the midst of a road, resulting in all sides of the road being equally affected by the impact. The current ride quality exhibits a high level of vibration. The vehicle exhibits satisfactory performance on even surfaces, yet, upon encountering minor irregularities, it displays a sensation of instability and oscillation, akin to potential damage inflicted upon vegetation. Are there any potential suggestions that may be considered?

The CX-60 did not pass the Swedish elk-test.

It is my contention that the Swedish examination was conducted using a diesel vehicle, rather than the more substantial plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). -

Based on the information provided, it can be inferred that the original poster's vehicle is a W213 model from 2017, which is likely to be equipped with the NTG5*1 system. Could you please provide assistance in activating or retrofitting AA or CarPlay for the Audio20 NTG5*1 system? -

The previous iteration of the E-Class Coupe, released in 2014, was designated as the C207 model and was built around the C-Class W204 platform. This particular model would have been equipped with the COMAND Online NTG4.5 (Generation 3) system. -

If the vehicle in question is the pre-facelift W213 model, it will be equipped with the NTG5*1 system. Additionally, if the vehicle is equipped with the Garmin Map Pilot navigation feature, it will be using the Audio20 system, which is accessible via an SD-Card. The entertainment device in question is confirmed to be the Audio20 NTG5*1. -

I apologise for the oversight. Upon more reflection, I have come to see that my previous comment was specifically addressing the compatibility of the mentioned kit with the COMAND system, rather than the Audio20 system. Regrettably, the aforementioned kit is not compatible with the Audio20 system. -

Initially, it should be noted that the NTG4.5/4.7 was the last iteration of the COMAND unit that had an engineering menu accessible without the use of STAR. However, it is my understanding that this capability is no longer available on the NTG5.x. Could you kindly provide a hyperlink to the YouTube video in question? Subsequently, the process entails more than only activating the COMAND system. Instead, it necessitates the use of SCN code, once again using the STAR diagnostic tool, to configure the appropriate choices. The topic of discussion is the integration of smartphones in the 14U and 15U age groups. The pre-installation of smartphone integration MB Link, sometimes known as 16U, is a feature that allows for seamless integration of smartphones with the vehicle's infotainment system. The incorporation of Carplay smartphone technology, namely the 17U model, is a noteworthy development in the automotive industry. The smartphone application known as Google Automotive Link. Options 14U and 15U need the installation of a new USB Port that is compatible with smartphone integration. This is likely the necessary information required to successfully complete the task. Customers have the option to choose our workshop in Surrey for the installation of the necessary software update and replacement of car parts, ensuring compliance with Mercedes standards. Alternatively, if this option is not selected, we will provide the required parts along with instructions for self-installation. However, customers will be responsible for completing the final steps by visiting their local dealer. -

One highly sought-after tire known for its exceptional smoothness and comfort is the CONTINENTAL DWS tire. The acronym DWS is an abbreviation for DRY/WET/SNOW. The all-season tire has the load rating suitable for heavier vehicles, exhibits excellent cornering ability, and offers a very smooth and quiet ride. When the tires were installed on my father's CL63 AMG, it was observed that they exhibited a remarkable level of quietness. The Continental tires are also available in DW configuration, which caters to those living in regions with a perennially warm climate seeking a livelier tire option. Additionally, the tires are arranged in a staggered configuration, consisting of DW and DWS. -

I perused some of the issues you have had with your vehicle. It is important to consider that RunFlat tires are specifically engineered to bear the vehicle's weight in the absence of air pressure, while also ensuring stability at speeds ranging from 60 to 80 kilometers per hour. The ride quality of the vehicle is characterized by its harshness and noise, which results in a heightened perception of even minor irregularities on the road surface. Do the front and rear tires possess identical dimensions? -
The S204 model exhibited a high susceptibility to this issue, especially throughout the process of maneuvering it back and forth inside the confines of my driveway. The brakes exhibited satisfactory performance during road use, and a comprehensive examination of suspension bushes and related components conducted by a reliable independent mechanic did not reveal any excessive signs of deterioration. We attribute this phenomenon to being a distinctive feature of the vehicle.

Upon careful examination of the aforementioned statement, it becomes evident that option 1 becomes non-existent. The means by which one chooses to fund the aforementioned event is a matter of personal discretion. However, it is worth noting that the Spyder seems to serve mostly as a decorative object.

I may have overlooked the fact that the Adaptive/EDC dampers were there during our last conversation. In this scenario, it is advisable to retain the technological investment made by opting for B4-Damptronic. The B6-Damptronic suspension system is anticipated to have an impact on the ride height, which has resulted in several complaints from individuals over the increased stiffness and harshness of the ride.

A possible concern arises about the ride height of B8. I personally encountered this phenomenon when modifying my vehicle, the Yellow Peril, a Volkswagen Golf, by installing B8 shock absorbers in conjunction with Eibach springs, resulting in a noticeable rise in the rear ride height. The first dampers, from a technical standpoint, were significantly worn. Consequently, the extent to which this component contributed to the overall rise remains uncertain. Naturally, my allegiance aligns with AC Schnitzer, since I adhere to a set of guiding principles. However, in the event that my beliefs are not aligned with your preferences, I own other ideals and may be open to the idea of selling brands such as Bilstein and KW, among others.
