  1. I want to install sensors onto my aftermarket imitation wheels. I discovered these items on the internet and just want to confirm whether they are the correct ones. Do I need to bring it to a BMW dealership or can any independent BMW shop programme them?
  2. The plug is identical, however it does not have the BMW logo on it. https://germanparts.ca/compatibility...ZR5%20TPP%2033
  3. I will continue to use Bosch plugs for my vehicle. When I change at a mileage of 25000 km or maybe more...If I were in Dubai or another hot place, I may consider trying the NGK spark plug, which is known for its precise gap compliance. However, because I am in Canada, it is not necessary. In my opinion, there are too many disadvantages and the danger of using cooler plugs in the S63 is not worth it, since it outweighs the possible gain for me. The NGK 97506 (SILZKBR8D8S) is the standard spark plug used in my son's 2015 X3 with the N20 engine. Disadvantages of using colder spark plugs Although cooler spark plugs have several advantages, they also entail some possible disadvantages. Here are some disadvantages of utilising cooler spark plugs: Possible misfires Installing colder spark plugs incorrectly or having an improperly tuned engine might increase the likelihood of misfires. Engine misfires may result in engine damage and can incur significant repair costs. Difficulties in initiating the engine when it is cold Lower heat range spark plugs may also contribute to difficulties in starting the engine under cold conditions, particularly during colder weather. The lower temperature of the plug might hinder the generation of a spark, so impeding the engine's starting process. Potential for Engine Malfunction Incorrect installation or unsuitability of colder spark plugs might result in engine damage. The lower temperature of the spark plug may lead to detonation, resulting in potential harm to the engine's pistons, cylinder walls, and valves.
  4. I have completed half of the lifespan of my third set of plugs, leaving me with 25,000 km remaining. However, it is worth mentioning that I am still operating well with the initial ignition coils. Who has updated their Ignition Coils - there are many alternatives available nowadays....Several years ago, ELDOR (Eldor 12135A06753) was considered the most recent trendsetter, but its popularity has significantly declined since then. The current original equipment manufacturer (OEM) options for the specified part number (BMW 12138616153) are DELPHI and BOSCH (0221504470). However, there are other additional options available, as shown by DELPHI. Who is currently using what nowadays? When did you first have problems with your coil? Seeking insight. Any input appreciated.
  5. I am certain that mine were pre-gapped at.The measurement is 32, expressed in metric units as 0.8mm.They are now experiencing business execution woes (BEW) owing to similar problems seen in the past, such as the ones you are facing.I consistently go for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts or aftermarket alternatives that are of the same brand, such as Bosch for the X6M.
  6. Yes, they are the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) plugs. They should be replaced every 50,000 miles. I just replaced mine for the second time. The plugs that I removed seemed to be in good condition. Therefore, I will not make any more changes to them once they reach the 50,000 mark...I am now using the original coils. However, I anticipate that the new plugs will put less strain on the coils. It will be interesting to determine the longevity of the original coils.
  7. It reminds me of a situation where the coil doesn't get sufficient power when cranking, but when the key is turned back slightly, there is enough power without needing to engage the starting motor. A sign of a malfunctioning CPS (crank position sensor) is the engine stopping while idling after reaching operating temperature and not restarting until it has cooled down. The cam position sensor is likely the same, although it is only necessary during the beginning process.
  8. Now, all that's left is to get the specifications for the 640d and proceed accordingly. I have a few more SSDs available, so I may attempt the installation myself.
  9. For what reason? Do you have a large music collection stored on your device? An easier option may be to using a 128GB USB for storing music instead of attempting to swap out the hard disc. If there are further advantages, I would want to know about them. The only problem I saw with the present configuration is a little delay in loading navigation when starting up from a cold state. However, the navigation functions well after that.
  10. Do not dismiss engine issues before attributing the issue to the gearbox. Have it scanned for codes. Resetting the ignition would not affect gearbox difficulties, to be honest.
  11. Images are not accessible to me, however when I go to incognito mode, I can see the picture
  12. Why did you deplete the battery and what method did you use?
  13. Thank you for the information, keithmerc220 and Blu_Ray_UK2007 The shot I took of one of the stampings on the passenger side skirt is of mediocre quality. I hope it is beneficial.
  14. It seems very appealing from afar, hehe. Requires a complete repainting and substantial rust restoration.
  15. I have not even sat in it yet! I will address it promptly, hopefully it is not a significant issue.
  16. Hello, everyone. I purchased a W126 300SE from 1992, which is said to have an authentic AMG bodykit installed by the manufacturer. I purchased it impulsively due to its low price and appealing appearance. I'm seeking information on these bodykits. How do I authenticate this one? Were they indeed installed at the factory? Can you share any intriguing facts? I am having difficulty finding any information regarding them and would really appreciate your assistance. Thank you!
  17. The sounder on these automobiles is located beneath the hood.
  18. Thank you for your response. Since the vehicle's ignition switch has already been replaced, I will attempt to move the car into the shed and begin inspecting the connections. Is it advisable to prioritise the inspection of ground connections initially? I have seen that my video has not been posted either. 🤷‍♂️
  19. Greetings, individuals. I am now experiencing some difficulties with my 2009 w204 C250 cdi. The issue arose during a drive on the motorway when the dashboard illuminated the ESP warning light and displayed a series of problems. ESP/abs not accessible The ESP system is currently not accessible. The run flat system is not yet accessible. The Speedtronic cruise control is not available. Presafe system not operational Simultaneously, the dashboard seemed to be intermittently activating and deactivating, accompanied by the illumination of the brake warning light. The vehicle exhibits symptoms of gear disengagement and sliding gearbox, resulting in increased engine revolutions. Concurrently, the Power Assisted Steering (PAS) system fails to function during this occurrence. The primary high-intensity headlights intermittently illuminate and extinguish. The engine's pre-heat indicator is intermittently glowing. This may include a mixture of any or all of the aforementioned options. After the automobile is shut off, the dash ticks and the needles exhibit little bouncing. However, the most significant issue is that once the engine is turned off, there is a frequent occurrence of failure to restart, with the engine not even turning over. Typically, but not always, disconnecting a battery terminal for a few hours will enable the vehicle to be restarted. Occasionally, it seems to spontaneously rectify the issue temporarily, only to go back to its original state shortly thereafter. The issue first manifested as sporadic, but it has gradually deteriorated. As a result, I have been without a functioning vehicle for many days now. I lack confidence in the car's ability to restart and safely transport me to my destination. The Mercedes-Benz expert I consult with has attempted many troubleshooting measures, including the installation of a different Signal Acquisition Module (SAM), a new Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS), a new Electronic Steering Lock (ESL), thorough examination of grounding connections and wiring, replacement of the battery, and analysis of diagnostic codes, all of which consistently indicate the presence of CAN communication issues. Initially, the situation was frustrating, but now I am considering driving my wife's vehicle to the repair shop to get a replacement battery and a gallon of gas. I appreciate anyone who have read thus far and I would be glad for any insights or information anybody can provide. I was unable to locate any information throughout the search. Moderators, if this question has been previously asked or violates any rules, please handle it accordingly. 🙂 I own a little film capturing the dash in action, which I will promptly upload from my mobile device.
  20. Using baby wipes and then a cotton bud consecutively is an effective method to reach and clean hard-to-reach corners.
  21. I do not use a single one.I purchased a Hand Held Vacuum Pump Brake Bleeder Set Bleed tester Tool Kit with 2 Jars for Car Bike UK 788537801016 from eBay. However, if you are not skilled in do-it-yourself projects, I recommend purchasing a large cigar. Exercise caution to avoid burning your fingertips while the match burns completely.
  22. Have you replaced the OVP relay -- Create a homemade smoke machine.I use a container equipped with a cover that features three apertures - the first one intended for a tyre valve, the second one for a nylon tube, and the third one for an outdated soldering iron. All three components must be tightly sealed within the lid to prevent any smoke from escaping. First, place the material in the bottom of the jar. Then, thoroughly soak the rag with baby oil. Finally, tightly screw on the lid to ensure it is airtight. Subsequently, proceed to inflate the jar using a tyre pump.In order for smoke to be produced on a low heat, the soldering iron must come into direct contact with the cloth. Detach the brake servo booster line and firmly attach the nylon hose originating from the jar. Activate the soldering iron to heat the duster or substance within the jar until it begins to smoulder. Inspect for leaks using a high-quality torch.
  23. I have never had any issues while uploading anything from YouTube in the past.
  24. Use a smoke machine, namely the M103 W124 model, to detect and locate any leaks in the hoover system.
