  1. Regrettably, I am unable to use Ista, since it seems to be only compatible with personal computers, but I exclusively utilise Mac machines. Are there any diagnostic tools that are compatible with Mac computers? Thank you.
  2. It is evident that there are two sensors. The rear is descending on both sides. I did not anticipate the simultaneous failure of both, or am I missing something? May I request a recommendation for a workshop handbook that is compatible with Mac operating systems?
  3. Thank you for your reply. However, upon closer examination of my first post, you will see that I have previously replaced the solenoid valve, which seems to be a prevalent issue.
  4. Greetings, everybody. I own a 2016 BMW 520D F11 with a mileage of 47,000 kilometres. Thus far, it has been almost devoid of any notable occurrences. Several weeks ago, the back of the vehicle began to slant downwards on both sides. Upon removing the compressor, it was seen that the inside was damp. I tidied it and returned it, but it had no impact. Subsequently, the solenoid valve and valve block were replaced, with no significant variation.I have conducted an examination of the relay, which seems to be functioning OK. The air bags were sprayed with soapy water, and a thorough inspection of all lines and connections revealed the absence of any leaks. The occurrence of the fault is sporadic. Occasionally, the automobile operates well for a few days, but on other instances, it begins to stoop when left alone for a few hours. Upon entering and starting the vehicle, one may perceive the operation of the compressor, which continues until the suspension has been fully elevated and the driving experience is deemed satisfactory. There is an absence of warning messages. Only the ECU remains to be examined. I am considering inspecting the connector, but I would want to clarify whether if I remove it for cleaning purposes and then rejoin it, I would need to reestablish its connection with the automobile. Are there any other suggestions on the cause of the fault? I have seen that several individuals on the site are expressing dissatisfaction over the air suspension system on the 5 series BMW, which seems to be the model's weakest point. We would much appreciate any assistance.
  5. Every March, I make a trip to Illinois to maintain my cars and ensure they are prepared for the next year. I engage in this activity irrespective of the distance covered.
  6. Really? $67?! Could you kindly provide me with the link?
  7. Upon visiting the ECS website, I discovered an alternative collection of sensors that are purportedly suitable for an E72. I have sent an email to them in order to confirm compatibility.
  8. Thank you for the information. I had doubts regarding the programming aspect of the sensor since the description said that it is compatible with several devices and would need programming. I will simply request the tyre shop to mount the tyres onto the wheels during the process of switching to winter tyres, and thereafter go on an extensive journey. If the devices continue to fail to register, then I would have to resort to seeking assistance from a professional shop to programme them, I presume.
  9. I own a 2010 X6 activehybrid that is specifically designed for the US market. The original 19-inch wheels were equipped with sensors, however after replacing them with aftermarket wheels, a yellow warning light appeared on the dashboard. The wheels I now own are imitations. Is there a method to ascertain if these wheels are capable of accommodating sensors?
  10. I want to install sensors onto my aftermarket imitation wheels. I discovered these items on the internet and just want to confirm whether they are the correct ones. Do I need to bring it to a BMW dealership or can any independent BMW shop programme them?
  11. The plug is identical, however it does not have the BMW logo on it. https://germanparts.ca/compatibility...ZR5%20TPP%2033
  12. I will continue to use Bosch plugs for my vehicle. When I change at a mileage of 25000 km or maybe more...If I were in Dubai or another hot place, I may consider trying the NGK spark plug, which is known for its precise gap compliance. However, because I am in Canada, it is not necessary. In my opinion, there are too many disadvantages and the danger of using cooler plugs in the S63 is not worth it, since it outweighs the possible gain for me. The NGK 97506 (SILZKBR8D8S) is the standard spark plug used in my son's 2015 X3 with the N20 engine. Disadvantages of using colder spark plugs Although cooler spark plugs have several advantages, they also entail some possible disadvantages. Here are some disadvantages of utilising cooler spark plugs: Possible misfires Installing colder spark plugs incorrectly or having an improperly tuned engine might increase the likelihood of misfires. Engine misfires may result in engine damage and can incur significant repair costs. Difficulties in initiating the engine when it is cold Lower heat range spark plugs may also contribute to difficulties in starting the engine under cold conditions, particularly during colder weather. The lower temperature of the plug might hinder the generation of a spark, so impeding the engine's starting process. Potential for Engine Malfunction Incorrect installation or unsuitability of colder spark plugs might result in engine damage. The lower temperature of the spark plug may lead to detonation, resulting in potential harm to the engine's pistons, cylinder walls, and valves.
  13. I have completed half of the lifespan of my third set of plugs, leaving me with 25,000 km remaining. However, it is worth mentioning that I am still operating well with the initial ignition coils. Who has updated their Ignition Coils - there are many alternatives available nowadays....Several years ago, ELDOR (Eldor 12135A06753) was considered the most recent trendsetter, but its popularity has significantly declined since then. The current original equipment manufacturer (OEM) options for the specified part number (BMW 12138616153) are DELPHI and BOSCH (0221504470). However, there are other additional options available, as shown by DELPHI. Who is currently using what nowadays? When did you first have problems with your coil? Seeking insight. Any input appreciated.
  14. I am certain that mine were pre-gapped at.The measurement is 32, expressed in metric units as 0.8mm.They are now experiencing business execution woes (BEW) owing to similar problems seen in the past, such as the ones you are facing.I consistently go for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts or aftermarket alternatives that are of the same brand, such as Bosch for the X6M.
  15. Yes, they are the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) plugs. They should be replaced every 50,000 miles. I just replaced mine for the second time. The plugs that I removed seemed to be in good condition. Therefore, I will not make any more changes to them once they reach the 50,000 mark...I am now using the original coils. However, I anticipate that the new plugs will put less strain on the coils. It will be interesting to determine the longevity of the original coils.
  16. It reminds me of a situation where the coil doesn't get sufficient power when cranking, but when the key is turned back slightly, there is enough power without needing to engage the starting motor. A sign of a malfunctioning CPS (crank position sensor) is the engine stopping while idling after reaching operating temperature and not restarting until it has cooled down. The cam position sensor is likely the same, although it is only necessary during the beginning process.
  17. Now, all that's left is to get the specifications for the 640d and proceed accordingly. I have a few more SSDs available, so I may attempt the installation myself.
  18. For what reason? Do you have a large music collection stored on your device? An easier option may be to using a 128GB USB for storing music instead of attempting to swap out the hard disc. If there are further advantages, I would want to know about them. The only problem I saw with the present configuration is a little delay in loading navigation when starting up from a cold state. However, the navigation functions well after that.
  19. Do not dismiss engine issues before attributing the issue to the gearbox. Have it scanned for codes. Resetting the ignition would not affect gearbox difficulties, to be honest.
  20. Images are not accessible to me, however when I go to incognito mode, I can see the picture
  21. Why did you deplete the battery and what method did you use?
  22. Thank you for the information, keithmerc220 and Blu_Ray_UK2007 The shot I took of one of the stampings on the passenger side skirt is of mediocre quality. I hope it is beneficial.
  23. It seems very appealing from afar, hehe. Requires a complete repainting and substantial rust restoration.
  24. I have not even sat in it yet! I will address it promptly, hopefully it is not a significant issue.
