  1. All that Gleams performed well on my M5 in January 2013. I will choose them again. January 2015 for a comprehensive valet and minor repair of the E55...
  2. My previous F11 had the same issue; I successfully removed the rust and addressed the moisture infiltration, resulting in the problem being resolved. If not, you are considering a replacement module.
  3. Examine the module for indications of corrosion, since it is a prevalent f1x problem. Access it via the inspection panel located in the wheel arch liner. A few T20 screws and remove the sliding module.
  4. After three years, I received comparable MOT recommendations, although there were no stipulations to repair the rear discs or pads. Corrosion is likely to occur more rapidly in coastal locations of the UK than inland. The contributing factors include limited mileage and the duration of driving with an inadequately loaded vehicle. When just you and a front seat passenger are present, with no cargo in the trunk, the front brakes bear the braking strain, resulting in surface rust on the rear brakes. My vehicle is parked outside year-round, which exacerbates the rust problem.
  5. I adored it and still see it as fresh, since the owner plays golf at the same location as I do.
  6. The F13 will not meet your requirements, as the rear seats are nearly impractical for adults. Although I have not experienced the F06, it appears to be as spacious as a 5 Series and is aesthetically superior. Additionally, the build quality of the F12/13 and F06 is exceptional. My previous F13 640d was priced at £81,000 when new; I purchased it for £13,000 in 2020 and sold it for £13,150 last year. If possible, seek a model with comfort seats and the rare Bang & Olufsen stereo system.
  7. Another little detail on the 124 coupés and cabriolets (exclusively) is the small window in the passenger door pocket. The service book was not adapted for right-hand drive cars; rather, it serves as a visual reminder for the next service, which drivers of left-hand drive vehicles see each time they open the driver's door. I took this photograph of my vintage coupé years ago; if you have seen this same image before, it belongs to me!
  8. That is just it. The driver's side mirror is broader to enhance visibility of cars passing from the offside rear, while the passenger side mirror has a higher, more rectangular design to aid with kerbside tasks.
  9. I acknowledge that. The 'emergency release access' is designed to override the shift lock mechanism.
  10. I no longer own my Captiva, so I cannot verify physically; nevertheless, some car models include a subtle, almost imperceptible pop-out or snap-in cover on the shift console. This enables the insertion and manipulation of an appropriate instrument, such as a screwdriver, to facilitate release. Please verify whether you possess this function.
  11. My device is very sensitive to variations in light levels, ambient illumination, illumination from other vehicles, and reflections from road signs. However, I trust you have considered this if you have had it for an extended period.
  12. Test files on a USB drive and play them directly via the Kia system to assess any improvements. My own use is via radio, and it suffices for a non-technophile such as me.
  13. Best of luck, my friend; it seems to be a harrowing experience!
  14. I concluded that the issue was the Terminal 87 Relay. I question if it incurs much expense, thus it may be prudent to begin with what the original poster saw as the answer.
  15. You may further explore this extensive discussion on the other MB forum on a non-starting S-Class.
  16. The oil pump feed is not the issue, since it is linked to another comparable plug and is functioning well. However, I did not see a PCV heater socket on the manifold. I will examine it one more. Is it visible from under the vehicle? Must I disassemble the manifold one more? Thank you very much.
  17. I have verified all your statements, although I remain doubtful when I believe I have completely bled a system. I will attempt it again, since pockets of air might unexpectedly emerge despite a consistent flow of water before. Do you possess any information about the loose connection I am experiencing? The cable is around 6 inches and originates from a harness attached to the mounting bracket of the intake manifold. The last wire from this harness connects to the VANOS solenoid.
  18. Hello. My 2013 Mini Cooper is displaying a code for the thermostat. P0128. The thermostat has been replaced, nevertheless the problem persists. The fan activates immediately upon starting the vehicle and continues to operate for about 10 minutes after shutdown. Identically to its function prior to the thermostat replacement. I just replaced the head gasket and timing chain due to a ruptured freeze plug. I discovered a loose junction with orange and white wires behind the intake manifold. I cannot locate a nearby hookup for it, and my schematics indicate it should be for the friction wheel; however, my vehicle is not the electric version. However, given that this is on the same circuit as the thermostat, it leads me to believe the problems are interconnected. Are there any recommendations from the experts available? Is there a method to reset the ECU to enable recognition of the new thermostat or a similar component? Thank you.
  19. No, the ride on my new GR Sport (2.0/20” wheels) is excellent, despite the inconsistencies in UK road surfaces. I have not accumulated many kilometres so far, but I have driven the vehicle on various roads, including A roads, for almost 50 miles, and the ride is pleasant and well-damped.
  20. To maintain the accuracy of the speedometer, you must first determine the desired wheel size and then choose the appropriate tires that have the same aspect ratio and rolling diameter. Below is a reliable website for doing comparisons: https://www.oponeo.co.uk/tools/tyre-size-calculator/235-50-r20
  21. Please note that it will reactivate automatically the next time the vehicle is started.
  22. The specifications of the automobile were almost identical to mine, with the exception that I had a unique colour. The price of my sticker was $230,695. I estimate that the price of this item was likely about $220,000 based on its tag. The vehicle had a depreciation of $10,000 over a distance of 3,500 miles. Acceptable.
