  1. I have just begun to search for new insurance options since my policy is about to expire in mid-July. Last year, I spent £675. The most favourable quotation received this year is £1065 from Sterling Insurance. I am unfamiliar with them. Does anybody have any firsthand experience with them? The internet evaluations go from "excellent" to "dreadful"! I am anticipating receiving quotations from several renowned insurance providers next week. 🤞🤞
  2. The spring was installed properly but not positioned appropriately. The MOT tester characterised it as being reversed. I only wanted a pristine record of its history, and it is utterly disappointing to be deceived by the vendor. I have just experienced a loss of trust in them. Thank you everybody for your perspectives and support. I appreciate it. 👍❤️
  3. I had my C63s in for maintenance at the start of October. Identified a malfunctioning front shock absorber on the passenger side of the vehicle. I placed an order for a component and patiently waited for 10 weeks until it was delivered and installed in the middle of December. After a period of 6 months, I visited the MOT centre on 7/6/24 for an inspection. Unfortunately, the front shock spring that was installed was incorrectly positioned, resulting in a major defect and causing the vehicle to fail the inspection. They filed a complaint, resulting in them not billing me for the services rendered or the MOT. Apologies were spoken abundantly and a commitment was made to ensure that the same mistake would not be repeated. I understand that you may suggest using an independent service provider, but I specifically need a comprehensive record of maintenance from an authorised dealer. I have had the automobile since it was brand new and have consistently used their services for the last six years. Additionally, I have a service contract in place. I am considering requesting a refund of the £191.64 that I paid for the wrong fitting of the item. This is because the service provider failed to exercise their Duty of Care, and the payment was made using a credit card. Anticipate your perspectives with enthusiasm 👍
  4. In fact, I am of the opinion that both of them now use identical data and provide real-time traffic notifications. The choice mostly depends on your preference for the interface and the convenience of reporting circumstances offered by Waze. With the introduction of Android Auto's latest "Coolwalk" interface, Google Maps now has the capability to occupy the whole screen, but Waze does not currently possess this functionality. The deployment of Coolwalk is progressing gradually. I just received access to it, although my wife has not yet obtained it. I really like the immersive experience provided by the full screen maps.
  5. It seems to be rather costly in my opinion.
  6. I agree with the previous comment. Please include your location so that someone might provide a suggestion for a nearby option.
  7. None of the hoover cleaners are suitable due to their excessive weight, mostly caused by the top-mounted engine. This is particularly inconvenient when cleaning a large floor area. We had a Shark vacuum cleaner for around three months. However, we decided to sell it and bring our old Henry vacuum cleaner out of retirement. The device is much lighter to use as the majority of its weight is supported by the floor rather than being carried. Additionally, it offers superior long-term suction capabilities due to its reliance on mains power rather than rechargeable batteries.
  8. The process of updating insurance number plates often takes a few days, sometimes even only one day, since it is necessary for law enforcement purposes. If the Kia is fresh new, it will likely take a few weeks or months. The dealer is likely to possess this knowledge but may be reluctant to discourage the organisation. In the near future, the EMAC CS system will likely get your number plate or VIN and notify you that the website is encountering difficulties. It took many weeks for the Kia website to reflect the modification when I converted from a private licence plate.
  9. If you decide to proceed, apply a layer of Waxoyl to the subframes and other relevant components. Best wishes.
  10. Excellent suggestion on the checking of gasoline pressure. I had been supposing that the beemer location was responsible for this. I need a comprehensive inventory of the specific examinations they conducted. Primarily, the visit consisted of verbal communication. The sole printout consisted of the items that they deemed necessary for replacement. All of the information mentioned is provided in the list above. I now lack the knowledge and skills to conduct fuel pressure testing. Therefore, I plan to enrol in educational courses available on the University of Youtube platform in order to acquire the necessary expertise and determine whether I am capable of doing this task. I have been contemplating the possibility that the gasoline lines may be obstructed or experiencing a blockage. I will thoroughly inspect them to the best of my capability when I replace the fuel filter in a few days.
  11. Furthermore, I possess the capability to do this task. Although I am uncertain about the intended values of the numbers. Is there a specific location where I may find the correct numerical values?
  12. I intended to provide that information above. I will now proceed with the upgrade. Indeed, I have personally inspected it using my own smoke machine and have had it examined at the BMW dealership.
  13. It has been a minimum of 5 years - an excellent concept. Will be replaced as soon as possible.
  14. I own a Mini basic model manufactured before July 2004, namely the R50 variant. The vehicle is functioning well with no problems, except for the persistent check engine light indicating error code p0296 (Bank 1, System too lean). I want assistance in resolving this issue promptly as it is necessary for the vehicle's registration next month. The Mini has accumulated a mileage of 250,000, but, during the last 3-4 years, I have replaced almost all significant components. It gives the impression of being a brand new automobile anyway. I am on the verge of a mental breakdown due to this situation. Since January of this year, I have invested more than $2500 in it. The bulk of the monetary amount has been allocated towards resolving the issue indicated by the Check Engine light. I personally handle all of my repairs and have never seen anything as persistent as this. I have taken it to the BMW expert many times, each visit costing $200. Below is a chronological list of my most recent accomplishments: Replacement of the manifold, catalytic converter, and all necessary gaskets. Recently installed oxygen sensors (Upstream: NTK / Downstream: Bosch) Included is a new valve cover. Includes a brand new Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve, gasket, bolts, and Oil Cap. Recently replaced throttle body and MAP sensor. Valves for Internal Combustion Engines Carbon analysis conducted: results indicate excellent condition. Walnut blasting is unnecessary. Brand new fuel injectors Conducted a smoke test to detect any potential hoover leaks. I replaced all the spark plugs, wires, and ignition coil, except for one component. I added CataClean before replacing the catalytic converter, even knowing it was a futile expenditure of $30. However, one might argue that I am becoming more desperate. Additionally, I have consistently disconnected the battery and let it to reset after almost every repair- I own a rudimentary $80 ODII reader, and once resetting the code, the engine light remains inactive until the subsequent ignition of the vehicle. The light only reappears once the vehicle is turned off and then restarted, regardless of how far I have travelled. Upon successfully resetting the code, while the ignition is turned on but the vehicle is not driving, the scanner continues to display the 0296 Code as Pending. This is illogical, since the car is not operating and so it is impossible for the fuel to be considered lean. Is the automobile still available for me to drive it further? Regardless, it never completely eliminates from the system. This is one of the reasons I sought the expertise of a professional. I believed that I need a more powerful scanner in order to fully eradicate some codes. They said that this is not the situation and they were unable to resolve it either. This is my current location. Any kind of enlightenment would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance
  15. Avoid using aftermarket products. However, if you want to purchase them, be prepared to repeat the same task within a few years. The cups or holders I had were 35 years old, and I repurposed them. However, the O ring and seal gradually contract over time due to the engine's heat.
  16. I retained my previous injectors.Upon replacing them, I discovered that the ones I removed were in perfect condition. Merely the fact that the money was causing an intense want to spend it immediately. Subsequently, I acquired a complete set of authentic MB seals and holders on Ebay shortly thereafter.
  17. The cost of these components is exorbitant, with £100 being charged for a set of 6 injector seals, together with the accompanying nylon cradles and O rings. When I completed my task, the cradles (holders) were in good condition, so you may not need them. Visit The SL Shop.
  18. Mercedes Benz M103 Fuel Injector Seal Kit 300E 190E 260E TE 300CE 1030780283
  19. This is just the item you need. The product being referred to is the Mercedes Benz M103 Fuel Injector Seal Kit, which is compatible with many models such as the 300E, 190E, 260E, TE, and 300CE. The specific part number for this kit is 1030780283.Observe the attachment labelled 152776.
  20. Reach out to Mercedes Edinburgh via eBay and inquire about the cost of the specific auto component, including your registration number for reference. The previous one was intended as an illustration.
  21. Based on the frequency of his involvement in accidents, I conclude that they are correct.
  22. Highly recommended. Similar to the NHS, it is worthwhile to advocate for. However, it would be prudent to seek the opinion of another individual before more harm is caused by accumulating excessive mileage on your engine.
  23. A Mercedes-Benz technician reported the presence of metallic particles in the oil. To further emphasise your argument, it is important to reiterate that we lack information on the quantity and importance of the metal in question. MB promptly rejected the client, explaining that the investigation alone would be exorbitantly expensive due to MB's high prices. Due of its inherent nature. An individual with expertise or a discerning individual may examine this and formulate an opinion. It is evident that the original poster does not intend to personally get beneath the automobile to do this task. It is not within his area of interest or expertise. He only has to locate the appropriate someone to do the task on his behalf.
  24. If this £10k automobile, which was deemed suitable for sale by a reputable dealership in 2022, requires preservation, it would be advisable to consult an independent specialist or an engine expert to accurately assess the issue's severity and determine the associated expenses. If we have knowledge about Tangoman's whereabouts, we may propose a nearby MB expert.
  25. Seek a further assessment. Moreover, it is worth noting that you are excessively reliant on the warranty and experts to identify issues, despite the fact that you have just paid for a certain service, repair, and MoT. Regrettably, I understand that you may not be receptive to this information, but it is important to acknowledge that these affluent individuals at prestigious car dealerships are not operating as philanthropic organisations.
