  1. The accurate equivalent should be Bosch 0 281 006 447.
  2. There should be no need to reset adaptations.
  3. Conduct a thorough run every few weeks to maintain its optimal condition. Regularly replace the engine oil. Appreciate the vehicle and explore further regions of the nation - indulge in fine cuisine and unwind. Life is ephemeral; savour it.
  4. Most often, both options are applicable. Indeed, I have been according to the instructions provided by the computer. However, as of late, my annual mileage has been consistently below 5,000 miles. Do you bring your vehicle in for regular oil changes? Is it possible to have the actions you do yourself recorded in the iDrive system?
  5. I understand, thank you for clarifying. I am astonished that the program lacks the functionality to automatically do the task of downloading existing records from the automobile, clearing them, and then re-uploading them. Being a former software developer, I would have definitely considered including it as an option. However, there could be some internal constraints preventing its feasibility.
  6. The displayed information just includes the name of the garage, "Date: 06.09.2024 Service: B Smith", without showing a numerical identification. The BMW entries are shown in the format "Date: 27.09.2023 Service: 01234 BMW". However, the numeric ID does not seem to play a role in the sorting process. It is solely based on the date, apart from any other factors.
  7. Thank you. The approach seems to be inadequate, since organising the information in chronological order is a fundamental and evident need. Presumably, BMW employs a distinct mechanism that operates differently from the aftermarket products in some manner.
  8. Yesterday, I had my 2016 F10 520d serviced by a local independent mechanic. This was the first time my car was serviced by someone other than a BMW dealer. Upon inspecting the Service History section of the i-Drive, I was disheartened to see the absence of a record for yesterday's service. However, I later saw that the information was really there, but not in the anticipated sequence. The previous entries are arranged chronologically, with the most recent one appearing at the top of the list. However, the new independent entry is located at the bottom. Is it customary for non-BMW submissions to always be treated this way, or is there a problem with this particular entry? The cost comparisons with my last BMW service, which was conducted two years ago, are intriguing. The independent retailer offered the components (oil, oil filter, and cabin filter) at a price that was £70 lower compared to BMW. It is likely that they used compatible parts instead of genuine BMW parts. The independent incurred an additional cost of £50 for labour. Presumably, the expenses for both components and workforce from BMW would have increased throughout those two years. Therefore, it is difficult to accurately determine the exact cost it would have been this year.
  9. Unfortunately, Attempted to input the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), but encountered an error indicating that it is not a legal registration number. It seems that I will need to contact or visit the dealership to resolve this issue.
  10. Thank you, Paqngo. I will attempt to do it once I get at my residence.
  11. Thank you for your response. Greetings, bvlenci. Interestingly, when I enter the original plate onto the Service Plan page, the vehicle seems to be nonexistent. It is unusual considering it is a demonstration for Mercedes-Benz. I attempted to contact MBServices via email and received a response instructing me to see my dealer.
  12. Seeking assistance or guidance, individuals. I just replaced my automobile, which was covered by a 4-year service plan. I terminated the contract and received a reimbursement, resulting in a satisfactory outcome. However, I own a personalised license plate that I have placed on retention for potential use in a vehicle exchange or other transactions. I have now successfully updated my DVLA and insurance information. After obtaining number plates for my new vehicle, I attempted to buy a new service plan online. However, I encountered an issue where the registration number on the Mercedes-Benz website consistently reverts back to my prior model. Is there a connection between MB and DVLA for database updates?
  13. The upgrade resulted in some improvement, albeit it was starting from a somewhat subpar level. However, it still falls short of the desired performance for a high-end audio system, but it is now more tolerable than before.
  14. It is possible to excessively tighten the bolt/screw in the frame that attaches the pump/filter, resulting in the pump being unable to rotate correctly. It may be advisable to loosen it somewhat.
  15. Why not go for the ML 500 instead of the ML 430? The engine is newer and more technologically sophisticated.
  16. Affirmative, it is indeed possible to do this task, and BMW does provide mirror actuators for sale. These actuators are handed, meaning they have specific versions for the left and right sides of the vehicle. Here are the corresponding component numbers:https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BL92-EUR-04-2003-E46-BMW-M3&diagId=51_4233 These items are exclusive to the M3-M5 models and have a price of £240 apiece.
  17. The automobile is quite pleasant. In addition, I have all the original accessories that were included with the vehicle when it was purchased new. I own a pre-owned 2011 R8 Spyder with a manual gearbox, which I bought brand new. I have not personally experienced driving the second generation Audi R8, but I anticipate that it would be impressive considering the many similarities shared between both vehicles. I had always questioned if the Lamborghini is superior... until I placed an order for a new 2022 model. I own a rear-wheel drive Evolution Lamborghini, and for me, the aesthetic appeal of the car alone justifies its value. Both vehicles possess exceptional visual appeal. However, the Italian outfit has unique qualities, and it is my belief that all sports vehicles should ideally have rear-wheel drive (RWD). Best wishes in your endeavours, no matter what path you decide to pursue.
  18. The topic posed was whether it was feasible to abstain from using any aftermarket items on a 2000 automobile. If not, then a valve controller should be used. If you are still dissatisfied, you may consider installing a legal aftermarket exhaust system. Kline manufactures GPF/OPF exhaust systems. Reportedly, the sound is 40% louder than the original and has a higher pitch. I don't want the automobile to produce the highest level of noise within the range typical of supercars, but I do desire it to emit a sound like that of a supercar. I have come across many owners that express satisfaction with the original exhaust system after installing a valve controller. I had anticipated that 2021 would be a significant turning point, but based on your statement, it seems that it is not.
  19. The European R8 Performance cars on YouTube produce an impressive sound when equipped with aftermarket exhaust systems. I am uncertain about the specific year of their origin.
  20. I am uncertain about the specific location in the southern region of England where I may get an aftermarket exhaust and valve controller installed on my R8. Or which exhaust and valve controller should I choose? I am now searching for automobiles manufactured from 2020 onwards, with low mileage, namely under 7,000 miles. Is it more advantageous for me to choose a 2020 model over a 2022/23 model in terms of exhaust performance?
  21. I have successfully removed the badges off several automobiles, and the aforementioned ways are really effective. Apply mild heat using a hair dryer, utilise dental floss to detach badges, and thereafter eliminate any remaining residue. The trick is in adopting a slow and careful approach. Wishing you success. (By the way, does anybody know of any additional techniques?) Do the professionals do the task in a similar manner?
  22. The ATF change refers to a maintenance procedure for the gearbox.
