  1. When I attempt to insert a disc, the machine appears unresponsive, and I am unable to push the disc into the slot, despite it feeling correctly positioned. Upon accessing the CD menu on Comand by selecting the stacked multi-disc button adjacent to the "DISC" button depicted above, I observe six vacant slots within the internal CD changer designated for discs. Selecting "eject (all)" yields no result. I have not utilised it throughout the five years of automobile ownership, hence I am unaware of its functionality. Question 1 Am I engaging in an unwise action or neglecting an evident step to enable this machine to receive discs? Question 2 As an individual proficient in DIY, how can I repair a broken item? Question 3: If the device is malfunctioning and does not accept CDs, can I transfer high-quality audio onto an SD card, specify the format, then insert it into the slot beneath the rewind/back button to achieve superior audio quality? I appreciate your assistance in advance.
  2. I decided to use a traditional approach of inserting CDs into my Comand unit, harbouring an idealistic expectation of achieving optimal sound quality from the device. I am presently streaming from a playlist on my phone using a Bluetooth connection. It functions reliably, although I am uncertain about its quality. The build sheet specifies the components for the Command unit: 512 COMMAND APS WITH DVD CHANGER 518 UNIVERSAL COMMUNICATIONS INTERFACE (UCI) This appears to be NTG 4.5, of which I am rather certain.
  3. If you are under warranty, take it to the dealer; this may include the timing chain.
  4. An illuminated EML will inevitably result in failure.
  5. Thank you, I will attempt that. Were you able to extract the full carpet backwards instead of merely folding down the front as is possible on the passenger side?
  6. I apologise; this should have been included in the bodywork section.
  7. I need to access my fuse box because my PTC heater has malfunctioned, and I intend to disable it. Does anyone have advice on how to remove this door trim without breaking it? These clips seem to be quite robust. The photograph was captured from the passenger side; however, I now recognise that the fuse box is located on the driver's side for a right-hand drive vehicle.
  8. The TCU controls :- Bluetooth, BMW Assist, BMW Online Remote features ie remote door locking, remote heating / AC control etc. Teleservices SOS emergency call.
  9. The nozzle inserts completely and without any problems. The flap opens freely, and I've tried a variety of angles and pumps, but my fuelling problem has gotten worse today after pushing that "object" farther. All I can hope for is that it's an alien object
  10. The fact that it's moving freely gives me the impression that it shouldn't be there; perhaps it's a nozzle from a Jerry can or something. I ordered really long needle nose pliers and will remove it then. I didn't think so either, IrvesBMW. I tried to get in there and grab it, managed to spin it, and nearly got it out, but I didn't have the tools. I was merely concerned that it might have been some kind of doo dah or overfilling protection.
  11. Hello everyone. Even though I've been reading a lot and lurking around, this is my first real post. My 535d f10 2016 has a problem where the pump quickly turns off during filling in order to perform back pressure. I choose to investigate further today after initially assuming it was the vent valve not opening properly. According to what I understand, a plate with two latches that can only be opened by pressing them with a diesel nozzle appears once the fuel cap has been removed. However, I have a question: If anything else comes up The following is confusing in the picture, but you will understand if you know what it is. I next used an endoscope to check for blockages. Lol, what is that? I gently prodded it, if it was there, and it slid another 6 inches down the pipe. Now, I can't get any petrol in the tank at all, hehe. I came here to enquire before inadvertently causing any harm.

  13. Affirmative. From Carsupermarket: replica of my vehicle.
  14. Greetings to everyone. The Kia Sportage 2, with license plate 23, lacks a navigation system. Exclusively via Android Auto? In the update utility, is it necessary to choose my23, Standard Gen5? Thank you for the responses.
  15. Today, I completed another gearbox oil change for a car dealership. The vehicle in question was a 2019 Mini Cooper SD with 60,000 miles on the odometer. The owners had disregarded the warning light for six months and continued to operate the vehicle. I have discovered a method to compel the Autel diagnostic tool to reset the warning and adapt the gearbox. If the warning is left unaddressed for an extended period, it will prevent any reset attempts. My technique allows the tool to perceive the service as being performed early, thereby avoiding an expensive visit to the main dealer. I would recommend changing the oil in these gearboxes every 30,000 miles or every four years at most, as the oil extracted is often severely degraded. This degradation can be mitigated by utilising the start-stop feature or shifting to neutral while idling in traffic, thus preventing the gearbox from dragging the plates and generating excess heat.
  16. It was a joy to assist you. You are aware of my future availability. Thank you for your input.
  17. The oil deteriorates due to stress, heat, and age, which ultimately damages automatic transmissions regardless of the vehicle.
  18. The large speedometer display indicates the need for an automatic gearbox gearbox gearbox fluid service and a forthcoming drivetrain inspection as soon as the vehicle is started. This indicates immediate action is required; do not delay. Additionally, it records a problem code in the primary DME along with the warning. Personally, I believe that addressing it every 30,000 to 40,000 miles and every 3 to 4 years is a prudent strategy, considering the potential cost of a gearbox replacement, which is likely to exceed $4,000 due to the detrimental effects of contaminated oil.
  19. I believe BMW has made a prudent decision regarding the warnings for gear oil services. I own a Volvo Geartronic automatic gearbox that requires oil changes every three years or 30,000 miles; the degradation of oil can lead to gearbox damage. A £200 service can prevent a £4,000 gearbox replacement in the long term. The VAG group mandates 30 oil changes for their Haldex systems to ensure optimal performance. I am aware of vehicles with 200,000 miles that continue to function effectively due...
