Paulinelinker
Greetings, everybody. I intend to remove the model identification off the rear of my vehicle. I am inquiring about the most optimal approach to do this task. Specifically, what is the most effective method to eliminate the remaining residue without using a mechanical device? Thank you in advance.
Screwdriver_1
I use dental floss in a gentle reciprocating motion behind the emblem, followed by the cautious application of adhesive and tar solvent from my automotive detailing equipment. Subsequently, a little amount of manual polishing may be performed if necessary.

EatSuru
It is advisable to wait until the summer season, as it will be more convenient to remove the item when the temperature is high. Alternatively, you may also use a hair dryer to facilitate the removal process.
badgx
Using either a hair dryer or a heat gun will certainly be beneficial. I have used dental floss to access the area behind the badges, which has shown to be effective. However, an alternative method involves applying heat to the badges, manually peeling them off, and then removing the majority of the adhesive residue with your thumb. Next, use a tar remover to eliminate any residual adhesive. Simply apply a little polish and the task will be completed. It is important to note that, depending on the age and colour of the automobile, there is a possibility of still seeing an outline if the paint has faded to some extent. Craigbelont
In the past, I have applied heat to it using a hair dryer and then used dental floss. If you want to reattach them, it is advisable to use high-quality masking tape to secure them. By doing so, you can maintain the appropriate spacing, which prevents future complications. To remove the leftover adhesive residue, you may use items such as Tardis or Ambersil's glue remover. I have previously used both options without any detrimental impact on the paint surface. Mistral
I have successfully removed the badges off several automobiles, and the aforementioned ways are really effective. Apply mild heat using a hair dryer, utilise dental floss to detach badges, and thereafter eliminate any remaining residue. The trick is in adopting a slow and careful approach. Wishing you success. (By the way, does anybody know of any additional techniques?) Do the professionals do the task in a similar manner?
WordSmith
Immerse the adhesive in WD-40, which will effectively loosen any glue residue.
TDudette
Frequently, the residue may be removed by rolling it off with robust adhesive tape, especially if it is heated with a hairdryer first. I accomplished the same task with both of my belongings without the need for solvents or cleaners, but it did involve a significant amount of time. jimmy47785
The adhesive may be easily removed by using D40.
