  1. Interesting! I actually phoned them this afternoon abd the representative explained the same thing. He said the segregated account structure was designed to protect both the customer and the company until the inspection period had passed.
  2. Does anyone know if they accept card payments? I'd usually prefer a credit card for the extra protection.
  3. Thanks for getting back to me; I find that intriguing.
  4. You can see an independent... under the JLR warranty!?
  5. It sounded like it was either missing or uneven at intersections, and it sounded like the injector's crush washer had failed.
  6. I was curious, but it came from a service station's shell garage. Premium diesel is the only kind I use. Still, I suppose it's possible.
  7. Salutations Everyone, These problems started happening yesterday after I filled up the diesel tank. Is anyone here with any thoughts or suggestions?
  8. Well, I've seen more than my fair share, and they're real!
  9. In my opinion, you shouldn't get these since they're over an inch larger in diameter than the original measurements, which can cause insurance problems in addition to the fact that they won't fit your car.
  10. Without a doubt, the front tires should be 235/40R18 and the rear tires 255/35R18.
  11. Oh, so it's wireless? I failed to notice that portion. Now it's really easy, and the Garmin gets its juice from the lighter. Now I understand. That is really cool. The fact that the canbus isn't displaying a problem code isn't surprising, however, considering this is a 2012 E class vehicle with the typical electrical components like lights and wires. My prior MB E class was a 2010 model, and I had no trouble wiring a caravan plug directly with a regular relay. My 2014 E-class Saloon, however, is part of the canbus system, thus things changed after 2013. Still, if you have a little battery in the boot, like mine does, and you can set it to turn on and off with the reversing light LED connection, that should work.
  12. The explanation is clear and concise. Did the canbus system change when you disconnected the positive and negative leads from the reversing light? Is a relay another option? Would you be so kind as to provide more detailed instructions on how to run the wire from the camera to the dashboard? Was it necessary to elevate the carpet or remove the side panels? Thank you for sharing this. Now I'm considering doing the same thing with my W212.
  13. Drive gently ahead while pressing the parking button. The parking graphic, not the rearview camera, should appear. There are a number of distance lines on each sensor. It might be useful in locating the problem. The bumper wire loom can be the problem if everything else fails. They seem to have been off lately because the plug is so easy to stretch. Also, the module that detects parking. There are threads regarding this on the forum; personally, I've never taken the panel off the boot and looked under the fuse boxes, but that's where I suppose it is.
  14. It is necessary for DDE to be aware of exhaust pressures.
  15. Here we have the Mercedes-Benz variant of the M271 component. Back in the day, there was a service drive to get these fitted.

  18. Both the magnets and the kits for the camshaft position sensors are available at 63motorsport. It serves as a protective barrier against oil ingress and the capillary effect of oil travelling up the car wiring harness to the ecu. It would seem that the position sensors of the camshaft are more prone to failure.
  19. Greetings, I have recently completed this task; your description is really clear and concise. Just so you know, the 2003 model year W203 270CDI on my car has the E10 and T30 sockets. In order to completely remove the top bolt, the E10 driver must be very tiny so it can fit into the narrow space. I managed to fracture the bolt off and free it halfway with my 3/8" socket drive, but it got "caught" on a hexagonal fitting. To fully remove the bolt, I switched to a 1/4" drive 9mm socket. In the event that anyone is in need of purchasing the Torx and E-Torx drivers, I hope this information proves useful.
  20. In most cases, air mass faults will result in an air leak. Before you start throwing components at it, make sure the intake is smoke tested.
