keithmerc220
Morning everyone, Was scrolling through Facebook Marketplace last night and came across a 2019 Audi Q3 S Line listed by Kiltybane Logistics. I’ve always known them as a transport company around Belfast, but looks like they’ve started selling repossessed vehicles from finance auctions now. Just wondering if anyone here’s actually bought a car through them or used them for delivery before? Bit hesitant about sending money over without knowing more, don’t fancy getting stung. AMG33D
Yeah we actually bought one through them earlier this year. Picked up a 2017 Nissan X-Trail for my lad after he passed his test, I’ll be honest I was sceptical at first as well, mainly because of the bank transfer side of things. Ours turned up after about a week and the driver rang ahead, turned up on time, no messing about. Car was exactly as described and matched the report they sent over. br1anuk
I am following this thread closely as I have been looking at a 2019 BMW 320d they have listed on Gumtree. The price is very competitive compared to dealers near me in Glasgow. My only concern is buying without physically seeing it first. Has anyone here actually visited their premises in Belfast before committing?
WordSmith
Haven’t bought a car from them personally, but I have used Kiltybane Logistics for transport jobs a couple of times. Once was moving some equipment for work from Manchester, and another time helping a relative relocate. Both times they were easy to deal with and kept me updated throughout. They’ve been around a fair while in the transport side of things, so they’re definitely not a new outfit that’s just appeared out of nowhere. Mistral
I had not heard about their vehicle sales division before so I did some background research. Kiltybane Logistics has been in the game since 2020 under KILTYBANE INTERNATIONAL LTD and has a solid Belfast address on the books. There were no red flags waving when I took a gander, and they were sitting pretty with a hefty profit margin. That said, repossessed vehicles can vary depending on how well they were maintained by previous owners. I would strongly recommend using the 14 days inspection period properly and arrange a full mechanical check and do not rely solely on photographs. keithmerc220
Quick update from me. I called Kiltybane Logistics this morning and spoke with someone from their vehicle sales team named Daniel. He explained the entire process step by step payment goes into the segregated company account. Delivery is arranged once funds are confirmed the money remains in that account until the buyer confirms they are satisfied after the inspection period. I asked directly what happens if I am not happy with the vehicle. He said they arrange collection and issue a full refund within the 14-day window. They answered my questions clearly and did not avoid anything. I am still thinking it through but so far it seems structured.
jennycarlotta
My brother purchased a 2017 Mercedes C220 from Kiltybane Logistics in June, it was not completely perfect. Delivery arrived on day ten rather than day seven, and there was a small scuff on one alloy wheel that had not been mentioned. To their credit, once he sent photographs, they offered a partial refund to cover refurbishment, he accepted and kept the vehicle in the end. Overall, he was satisfied and has had no mechanical issues since.

Blu_Ray_UK2007
I am a mechanic, so I will just add some general advice regarding repossessed vehicles. Always review the service history carefully. Run a diagnostic scan for stored fault codes. Inspect suspension components and clutch wear. Check for signs of neglected servicing. A 14 day inspection period is actually more generous than what many independent sellers provide. If the funds are genuinely held in a segregated account until approval, that does reduce financial risk significantly. Just make sure you use that inspection time properly! keithmerc220
I decided to proceed. I made the payment this morning. I will admit it was slightly nerve-racking pressing the confirm button on the transfer. Delivery has been scheduled for next week. I will update the thread regardless of the outcome so others can make informed decisions.
keithmerc220
Update as promised. The vehicle arrived on day nine. The driver called approximately forty minutes before arrival first impressions are very positive. The bodywork matches the description, the interior is clean, and the mileage corresponds with the auction documentation. I am still within the 14-day inspection period, but I am almost certain I will be keeping it. In my case, Kiltybane Logistics delivered exactly as outlined in the agreement. br1anuk
Thank you for coming back with an update. That is reassuring to read!
ChatMaven
I am always cautious when full payment is requested via bank transfer, but these experiences do suggest a structured system rather than an informal arrangement. If they continue honouring the 14 day return policy consistently, that will strengthen their reputation over time.
IrvesBMW
There are certainly many questionable sellers in the market at the moment. From what I have observed, Kiltybane Logistics appears to be leveraging their established logistics reputation to support this new vehicle sales division. As long as buyers carry out proper inspections and take sensible precautions, it seems like a reasonable opportunity to secure a well-priced repossessed vehicle.
