In 2012, I had Terry from Wayne Gates MB Specialists in Harrow do an inspection of my SL55 upon purchase. The most worthwhile expenditure I have made; I encountered many questionable vehicles and acquired knowledge about the automobiles. The examination was necessitated by my complete lack of knowledge about the autos, which are distinctive and specialist in several aspects. In 2022, after a decade of owning an SL55, I felt enough secure to independently search for an R231 SL63, and I successfully acquired a quality vehicle. While selling the '55, the buyer brought a "expert" who was uninformed about the SL55, ultimately leading me to explain its functionalities to him. The degree of ignorance is remarkable. They identify nonexistent issues to rationalise their charges. The crux of the narrative is 1. Non-MB expert examination - detrimental, 2. MB specialist inspection - beneficial, particularly for those without automotive understanding, as I did in 2012. Ideally, enhance your understanding and examine the situation independently; nonetheless, this is hard to do. Additionally, remember the historical context and documentation; the evaluation encompasses more than just the physical assessment.

I cannot suggest Auto Mobile Valet strongly enough, in case you are still searching. I have used their services on my previous vehicle for many years and just had them apply a ceramic coating on my new CLA. -
As a newcomer to BMW, how can I perform updates?

I hope for a favourable outcome for you. BMW would impose an admission fee for the showroom if they believed it would be feasible. -

It is uncertain, but is a subscription required to maintain updates? -
The outcome is contingent upon the dealer; I have seen postings from years past indicating that some individuals were denied due to alterations in the paint, rendering it non-original, while some received warranty coverage and others did not.Best of luck, and yes, I believed the guarantee period for paint had been modified.

The paint warranty once extended for 12 years, then reduced to 10 years, and may now be much shorter.

Greetings, everyone. Several weeks ago, the remote locking feature on my E91 ceased functioning. I have tested two keys, and neither works, making it improbable that the issue is with the keys themselves. The central locking system remains operational with the key inserted in the door. I saw that the rear screen demister stopped functioning simultaneously. I have conducted much reading, and others have suggested that either the diversity module may be susceptible to water infiltration or that the wires in the boot might be damaged. Numerous individuals have enquired about the simultaneous failure of the demister and remote locking systems, although no one has suggested a probable explanation for this concurrent malfunction. I believed it prudent to enquire before disassembling the boot. Does anybody have any suggestions, please?

Consider use a battery post shim to eliminate the excess play.

A leaky injector may manifest as reduced rail pressure. What first symptoms did you experience?

I will begin searching on YouTube, then. Thank you, friend. 👍

I am grateful for your suggestion. Thank you once again for your valuable input. I will search on eBay and similar platforms to find a replacement. Additionally, I will investigate the process of accessing and replacing the fusebox.

Thank you. Rashman4u, as I lack technical expertise, do you suggest seeking assistance from an auto electrician? I understand that this may seem trivial, but I am reluctant to continue spending money on purchasing and changing components when it may not be the true cause of the problem. The intermittent nature of the issue makes it difficult to accurately identify the underlying defect, so I empathize with your situation. Thank you.

The current code I am receiving for the JBE is A6CF, which corresponds to the AUC sensor. However, I am unsure how this would cause the occasional activation of the DSC/ABS warning lights. The first code associated with an internal malfunction in the ABS pump was 5DF5, if I recall correctly. I just installed a recon pump, but I am still seeing the same intermittent lights on the dashboard. The error message now indicates a problem with the JBE electronics and the specific code is A6CF. Any guidance would be very appreciated and I really appreciate your time in providing a response.

Greetings everyone, I am seeking assistance from someone. I own a 2011, 320d M sport E90 vehicle, and recently I have been experiencing sporadic illumination of the DTC and ABS warning lights. After doing extensive study on several sites, I decided to replace the rear sensors and reluctor rings, as well as the front hubs (except the sensors). Additionally, I replaced the Yaw sensor and ultimately the ABS pump/ECU, since the diagnostics indicated an inherent defect inside the ECU pump. Regrettably, the lights are still being turned on. Today, I was informed that the diagnostic tests revealed a 'implausible' result. As a result, they proceeded to bleed my brakes once more. However, despite this, the warning lights are still on. A buddy used a diagnostic machine and found that it is displaying a 'implausible' error along with a Junction box electrical issue. He believes that the problem is related to the electrical system rather than the mechanical components, which is why the intermittent lights persist even after replacing all the necessary parts. Could you kindly provide any instances of successful resolution of comparable issues with your vehicles? Thank you in advance

For those who have installed non-original exhaust systems

Retain the car's original configuration for future restoration purposes. Dismantling the automobile yields a higher financial return. -
The load rating is indicated by the numbers "91" and "95". The speed rating is denoted by the letter "Y". As long as you meet or above the manufacturer's officially approved rating, it doesn't matter whether the front and back are different. The user's text consists of a single emoticon, specifically a smiley face. Additionally, I recommend removing the run-flat tyres.

Attempt a reset on the media system. Search for a diminutive aperture in the facia next to the rotating volume dial. Carefully insert a pen or a paper clip into the aperture, and the head unit should undergo a reset. If the problem persists, it is likely necessary to schedule a visit with a dealer.
