  1. Indeed, there was some dampness. The previous owner removed the headlamp bulb and neglected to reattach the headlight cover. Since I replaced the cover, the headlight is now dry, and there is some rust on the module pins, which I cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before reassembling. Does this module execute the DRL? Both Daytime Running Lights are functioning effectively; nonetheless, the persistent fault indicator on the dashboard remains bothersome. I can just change it but prefer not to purchase one without guidance. Does it need coding for the 2012 520d M Sport? Additionally, any recommendations on purchasing the module with two T20 screws and a black gasket, rather than the red variant with three screws, would be appreciated.
  2. Are you aware of any solutions for this issue, considering that both components function correctly? Would changing the module be beneficial?
  3. My F11 displays a daytime running light issue on the dashboard, however all lights function properly. The prior owner said that the problem began when he replaced the headlight bulb. I have removed the headlight module and cleaned the connections, but the error persists. All lights are functioning properly. I prefer not to change a module until necessary; may the headlight bulb replacement be the source of this issue?
  4. A forum search would have directed you to purchasing a BMW sensor; however, I previously acquired an aftermarket one that functioned well from a firm on eBay with "Bavarian" in its name, but I cannot recall the specific brand, since Johnny knows which brands he utilises.I modified my vehicle since, after driving in heavy rain, the triple light problem would activate, including the handbrake and ABS indicators. Perhaps your situation is similar, however my issue was with the rear nearside, as I saw erratic behaviour in the speedometer and fuel gauge.
  5. The 640d is a well-constructed vehicle that exudes more luxury than the 5 Series. In my view, you will get more value for your expenditure.
  6. I cannot comment on the adaptations; nonetheless, I recommend doing an oil and filter change and then resetting the adaptations as the first steps. It may need around 500 miles for the gearbox to recalibrate after an adaptation reset.
  7. The fuel system was contaminated with metal filings, which were subsequently cleaned and removed. Later, an error code connected to the glow plug module appeared, prompting me to replace it with a used part acquired from eBay. The vehicle had an Auto Start/Stop fault code prior to the failure of the HPFP.
  8. The fuel rail was changed last year with a pre-owned rail purchased on eBay.
  9. Hello, I have replaced the defective high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) on a 2009 BMW E90 N47 320D with 209,000 km. I have changed the HPFP twice owing to persistent hesitation and prolonged cranking during starts. I want guidance and help. Thank you in advance.
  10. Engine alert about lower power illuminated briefly and then extinguished after 30 seconds. Subsequently, irregular idling. Not consistently.
  11. I brought it to the garage. They connected it to the diagnostic tool, which indicated that the issue was with the fuel rail pressure sensor.
  12. I was informed that it was only plug and play, since it was unnecessary owing to the vehicle's age.
  13. I own a 2012 X5 40d LCI with a defective fuel rail pressure sensor. Diagnostic confirmation: The original component was Bosch part number 0281 002 948, extracted from the vehicle's original part. I researched online, and Bosch indicates that component number 948 is an obsolete designation, whereas Bosch part number 0281002988 is the latest suitable equivalent. When I installed one of these, it performed poorly, necessitating the reinstallation of the original component. Communicated with the thief who referenced component 1353 857 7623. However, this seems to be BMW's equivalent of the 988, but they have not confirmed it. Is there anybody knowledgeable who can confirm this, or am I missing something? Thank you.

  16. Most peculiar inquiry to yet. Insufficient space.
  17. It is necessary to connect the vehicle to a diagnostics computer such as INPA or ISTA in order to check for any error codes. Have you replaced the gasoline filter? It may be beneficial to do so nonetheless. I successfully performed the turbo replacement on my 2004 e46 320TD small, albeit it was a challenging task. Regarding the turbo replacement, what was the reason for the change? Has the most recent turbo had a failure? Could metal debris have detached from the impeller blades and entered the engine? Have you performed the necessary tasks of replacing the oil and filter, as well as inspecting the previously used oil filter to ensure the absence of any metallic particles inside it? Have you thoroughly cleaned the oil feed and outlet pipes connected to the turbocharger? Did you lubricate the new turbo with oil before to its installation? Providing comprehensive information on the car's specifications, service records, mileage, and maintenance history greatly aids in comprehending the issue at hand and facilitating effective problem-solving.
  18. Please inform us as it may be beneficial to others.
  19. What is the age of your battery? An insufficient battery charge might cause unpredictable behaviour like the one you described.
  20. The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) module has a brake drying function that is designed to deliver a minimal amount of braking force in order to remove moisture from the brake discs. There have been documented problems with the module excessively applying braking pressure. To conduct a test, drive the automobile and observe whether the issue occurs when the windscreen wipers are activated.
