  1. Greetings, everyone! I require assistance in diagnosing the issue with my battery. I am receiving the persistent yellow battery warning in the vehicle, which occasionally dissipates after a thorough drive but often reappears shortly thereafter. The battery endures a challenging existence, as the car is infrequently driven, resulting in limited time spent in a charged state. I apologise for the information overload; nonetheless, I am providing a timetable and battery statistics. A new primary battery was installed at Mercedes 2.5 years ago, and all is functioning well. A few months later, the start/stop function became dormant once more; nevertheless, everything else was functioning OK, and I was indifferent to the start/stop feature, so we continued as usual. Approximately one year ago, I experienced an event in which I left the vehicle parked on a frigid night with the battery warning illuminated, resulting in a failure to start and necessitating a jump start. Intermittently, particularly in winter when the battery is depleted, the vehicle displays a "collision assist not operational" message, which resolves autonomously after the battery is recharged. A few weeks prior, I drove the car for approximately 40 minutes, and several hours later, I received a battery warning. I took it out once more for an additional 20-30 minute trip, and there were no concerns with an extended interval before the next drive. Yesterday, the battery alert illuminated, prompting me to drive the car for 40 minutes. Several hours later, the battery warning reappeared... Operated the vehicle for an additional 20 minutes, and the warning reappeared later that evening. Operated the vehicle again this morning for 25 minutes and documented the battery statistics, which appeared suboptimal. Battery statistics: Prior to initiating the vehicle (by pressing the start button once to activate the radio and other systems) with a battery warning, I am uncertain whether the -15A reading is typical.
  2. Thank you; it indeed appears peculiar. I previously enquired here and was provided with the original part number. If anyone is able to dig up the part number, my VIN is WDD2074032F073442. It appears peculiar that I would acquire an aftermarket component rather than a genuine Mercedes product.
  3. My husband is performing maintenance on my automobile for the first time. Having acquired the Mercedes part numbers and procured the components, he is currently engaged in the task. However, the gasoline filter is incompatible, as indicated by the photograph. The Merc component you observe is part number A6510902852, which I have learnt supersedes the earlier part number A6510901652. We were unable to locate that part number for purchasing, therefore we acquired the superseded version. The electrical connection is not identical. I contacted Newcastle Merc on eBay, providing my VIN to acquire one of their service kits, but they have not responded. Therefore, procuring the components independently. Have I accurately acquired the exact part number, or is the superseded information misleading? He has disengaged the clamps and can observe "MAH," concluding that it is an MAHLE unit. The service history indicates that this has not been altered since it was modified by Mercedes in 2014 at 17,000 km. Please assist me.
  4. should be able to assist, having recently completed this task on his M156
  5. How is it functioning?Whenever I have experienced MAF failure, the vehicles operated quite poorly.
  6. I have another device affixed to the rear window that is connected to the 12v output in the trunk. That is also acceptable.

  8. I installed a straightforward solution for the Nextbase windscreen, with a tap-in loom converter from PowerfulUK. There are no issues. Here is a link to the latest Evoque:
  9. The product appears satisfactory; nonetheless, the limited reviews on Amazon are unfavourable.
  10. Thank you for the information. Do you trust Ooono as much as Waze or TomTom?
  11. I typically utilise the Tomtom satnav application due to its effective speed camera notifications, which are pronounced and clear, such as "speed camera ahead x yards!" rather than a mere beep. I consider it more dependable and evident than Waze. However, I find the user interface of both unsatisfactory. Having researched Ooono, I find it to be a commendable system. Utilising it would liberate my satnav application, enabling me to employ Google Maps, which permits a bird's-eye perspective at a customisable zoom level—an option I prefer. Is Ooono a trustworthy source for speed camera information? The absence of a subscription charge raises my suspicions regarding its affordability. Does anyone have comments on this system or alternative options they would want to share? Amazon reviews are varied. Thank you. Does Waze exclusively alert users about speed cameras when they are above the speed limit? It occasionally fails to detect them, sometimes emits a beep, and at other times verbalises... hence, I am reluctant to depend on it.
  12. My 2007 Japanese import ML included a built-in feature to display information in either English or Japanese; therefore, once the appropriate menu is located and English is selected, I am confident that the same applies to that model. It is likely that this has already been accomplished; if not, request the vendor to resolve the issue—any of the principal importers of Japanese used vehicles would possess an individual knowledgeable in this matter. (As a side note, it had not been completed on my device, and the minor seller from whom I purchased it was unaware of the procedure. Consequently, I randomly navigated through all the menus available, all in Japanese, until I encountered one menu featuring a single word in English - "English". Pressed the '+' key—possibly the '-' key—but the concept is clear, and success ensued! All organised. The challenging aspect will be the radio, as the Japanese utilise a distinct segment of the frequency spectrum for their radio transmissions compared to Europe. Comand Online, or Braybrook's in Welwyn, located near the selling dealer, can provide you with an estimate of the cost.
  13. Other equipment, such as control boxes, where moisture penetration occurs, lead to the formation of galvanic bridges across circuit board (copper) traces. The outcome is either open or shorted tracks, some of which may appear as dark contaminations or carbon deposits on the circuit boards. I have successfully repaired circuit boards with damaged copper traces, but not those exhibiting short circuits.
  14. Models from the 2016 model year and later, equipped with LED headlights, use QR-paper labels that specify the LED colour batch and the parameters to be transferred to the headlamp controller (including DC current settings, among others). Videos on YouTube demonstrate the headlamp initialisation method performed using the Xentry diagnostic system. It is imperative to never remove the QR code from the headlamp. Capture images of the QR codes and retain the photographs for potential future use. The bulb shown seems to contain far more water than what is typically attributable to standard condensation, a common issue with many Mercedes headlamps. Is there a fracture in the housing? Mercedes has launched kits including Silica Gel bags intended for placement into headlamps experiencing condensation. The lights must be removed to install or replace bags containing moisture-saturated silica gel packs. A further error has been positioning the light's controller in some models near the base of the lamp, just where water intrusion accumulates. In my humble opinion, it is completely foolish.
  15. Greetings, it is a pleasure to have you join us.
  16. The first MOT for a Northern Ireland vehicle occurs after 5 years, in contrast to a Great Britain registered vehicle. If it is quite recent, that might elucidate the matter.
  17. I have just verified my sister's vehicle in Northern Ireland (with Ulster plates) using this page, and all the data and information are shown.

  20. The Valeo part number 835013 is designated for compatibility with a Sprinter vehicle. This configuration is shown to accommodate 350 horsepower, hence an OM602 will not pose a problem. However, note that using this kit on your engine necessitates either deepening the center bore of the flywheel by 3mm or reducing the spigot on the engine crankshaft by 3mm. Failure to execute one of those actions will result in improper seating of the flywheel on the crankshaft.
  21. The clutch from the M103 is required to be compatible with that flywheel, and the pilot bearing is necessary to sustain the gearbox input shaft. If you want to eliminate the dual-mass flywheel to enhance power, use the Valeo SMF modification while retaining your original gearbox.
