The W213 E220d's Jerky Gearbox in Sport Mode
clk320x4 replied to Alex1978's topic in General Discussions
However, my Night Edition 2022 does include sport, comfort, and environmental modes; it just lacks sport+. I wouldn't say it's jerky in sport mode, but the engine revs higher and seems somewhat less smooshy. -
Flight safety warning indicator turned on
clk320x4 replied to CyberNinja's topic in General Discussions
Reading the codes is necessary for determining the source of the problem, as mentioned earlier. 'Sensor mat' or front passenger seat occupancy sensor failure is a typical issue. One more is a broken seatbelt buckle. A defective electrical hookup beneath the front passenger seat is an additional issue. However, there are other alternative explanations. However, unless you're handy with a wrench, this is not a problem that a do-it-yourselfer should attempt to fix. (To test whether the error code returns, you might use a scanner such as iCarsoft to delete it; nevertheless, it is quite likely that it will return.) -
Coupes: S-Class and S63 AMG — Official Announcement
clk320x4 replied to AMG33D's topic in General Discussions
I find it incredible that, similar to the R230 SL, the front seat airscarf fans are placed on the headrests and can be seen. rear wind deflector is aesthetically pleasing and may be used even while the rear passengers are still seated. Why isn't there an air cap system as in an E-class cab? -
Coupes: S-Class and S63 AMG — Official Announcement

Congratulations, MB, on your return to the major cabriolet market. I adore it -
I possess a 2020 C-Class coupe. The oil level has decreased to slightly above the minimum threshold (refer to the image). I returned it to the main dealer to ascertain whether there was a leak or if it was consuming oil. A visual check was conducted, and I was informed that there were no leaks and that the amount was acceptable, although being slightly above the minimum threshold, with no further explanation provided. The vehicle has barely accumulated 39,000 miles. I feel apprehensive over this matter. Do you have any suggestions?

If you appreciate Italian sports vehicles featuring this colour scheme and imported from Japan, you may wish to examine this exquisite specimen.

It is quite rare to encounter a Testarossa (or its derivatives) in a hue other than red paired with black, and that particular specimen is exquisite. A friend own one in blue over red, and it is exceptionally beautiful.

Assistance Required for 2018 S320 Battery Issues
clk320x4 replied to Mistral's topic in General Discussions
I am uncertain whether a second battery exists, unless it pertains to a hybrid model. Nonetheless, it is essential to consult an auto electrician or an independent Mercedes-Benz technician to identify any parasitic drain and attempt to isolate the module or circuit responsible for the issue. Please inform us of your current town or city, and members will likely be able to recommend someone. 👍 -
The voltage measurements being conducted here are incompatible for assessing a battery's state of charge. Utilising the battery voltage as an indicator of a battery's state of charge is valid only when the battery is at rest and there is minimal or negligible current flow. Recall the initial automobile alarms that were activated due to the detection of a battery voltage decrease produced by the illumination of the interior light. The in-car battery voltage monitor consistently reflects the current draw, which might be beneficial for comparison analysis if one is aware of the appropriate healthy metrics. This method is ineffective for determining the state of charge of batteries according to standard published tables, as any substantial current draw will reduce the battery voltage, resulting in a fully charged battery not registering 12.6 volts or the appropriate fully charged voltage for its type. The appropriate method for utilising the published state of charge tables is to measure the voltage at the battery terminals while the vehicle is in a dormant state. The recent failure of a recently installed battery, which ceased functioning in stop-start mode a few months post-installation, suggests an issue with either the battery or the charging mechanism and warrants investigation accordingly. An OEM battery is expected to endure beyond 2.5 years, leading me to consider that the battery may have been deficient from the outset, which is a possibility. What is the duration of the battery warranty? I acknowledge that I am contentedly operating a vehicle with a battery that no longer facilitates the stop-start function, which ceased to function after 6.5 years of use.

Pre-entry climate regulation E450d Exclusive
clk320x4 replied to clk320x4's topic in General Discussions
All Digital Extras are included with the new car for a duration of three years, excluding the Log Book. My vehicle is equipped with Pre-Entry Climate Control, as stated in the app and handbook. However, none provides detailed instructions for setup. The vehicle was in the garage, hence reluctant to initiate the engine. I will attempt again tomorrow if it is not raining. -
Seeking expert advice from the Forum. Acquired a new vehicle yesterday. Digital Extras denote the inclusion of pre-entry climate control. However, attempts to activate were unsuccessful. The application allows me to select seats, but the activation and deactivation buttons are unresponsive. Is it necessary for the ignition to be on and the engine to be running to configure this? Kind regards

Mercedes Me app sporadic reactions in recent days
clk320x4 replied to cumblechook22's topic in General Discussions
He states that the 2022 C-class is not associated with the 3G discontinuation. The MB Me service is exhibiting erratic behaviour, as it frequently does, albeit in various manners. -
Indeed, I completed all necessary tasks when I replaced the thermostat, so I believe I am adequately prepared in that regard. I observed typical oil spots around the seal positions, which had been improperly installed. It appears that the new MAF required calibration in my situation.

Disconnected the negative terminal for 20 minutes while replacing the fuel filter today. It is currently idling more effectively.

I apologise, everyone. I did not receive notifications regarding your responses. I ultimately resolved the issue. The MAF was indeed defective. I purchased a pre-owned Y-Pipe in superior condition than mine, which included one MAF. I transferred my functional MAF to it, and it registered the accurate temperature and airflow measurements. Nonetheless, I occasionally have a minor hitch after startup. During discussions with Avantgarde in Clevedon, they indicated that the adjustments must be recalibrated for optimal performance. The issue is that I currently reside in Scotland, necessitating the search for a reputable independent establishment in Edinburgh. All nearby garages I have approached have provided a standard quotation of approximately £90 for one hour of service. It would be more advantageous for me to purchase a superior fault reader than to spend two minutes having them reset it.
-
I have recently replaced the temperature sensor, and I am not surprised that it did not resolve the issue. I have observed that when I disconnect Sensor A, its temperature remains at 79°C whereas Sensor B decreases to 21°C. Upon disconnecting Sensor B, both temperatures stabilise at 79°C. The subsequent course of action appears to be attempting a costly MAF replacement, unless someone possesses other insights.

Greetings, everyone. I am receiving many trouble codes on my 2010 E350. The initial focus is on the Air Intake Temperature sensor, which I intend to replace due to the original appearing contaminated, and the cost is sufficiently low. I was informed that the codes are associated with a defective MAF sensor. Enclosed are the codes and the real-time readings from my Maf sensors. Unplugging sensor B results in a value of 0g. Upon disconnecting Sensor A, the readout displays 166g, while Sensor B subsequently increases to 8g. I am willing to invest in a replacement MAF sensor, but I seek guidance before making any purchases.

Please recommend Ooono, Tomton Tom, or an alternative.
clk320x4 replied to AMG33D's topic in General Discussions
I possess Ooonos in each vehicle. They are exceptional. Similar to Waze, they depend on the user community to report and confirm the ongoing existence of cameras and risks. The number of Ooono users is lower than that of Waze, resulting in inferior coverage. They function similarly to Waze, yet they are far more audible and apparent when issuing alerts, and acknowledging or reporting cameras and hazards is facilitated by a huge, singular button. -
Combining tire brands on several axles
clk320x4 replied to Blu_Ray_UK2007's topic in General Discussions
Upon acquiring my CLK 12 to 13 years ago, one of the rear tires was an inexpensive, substandard brand. Installed by the vendor to comply with the MOT requirements? The traction control indicator would often illuminate. The new Goodyear tires resolved the issue; the light is off. -
Vertical bonnet opening for the 2015 W205 C200 Sport Premium.
clk320x4 replied to ML350_Colin's topic in General Discussions
The SL63 AMG, while a distinct vehicle, also lacks a mechanism for securing the lift cylinders, unlike my C55 AMG. Instead, it has a tiny metal locking latch affixed to the inner section of the wing inside the lift hinge mechanism on the passenger side (RHD). It is painted the same colour as the automobile, namely black (apologies for the absence of a picture), and may be difficult to detect. One must simultaneously press the little latch with one hand while manoeuvring the bonnet, which, in my opinion, represents a regression from the latching cylinders and is quite cumbersome. Could yours be identical? -
I sometimes have similar sentiments about my vehicle; it would be nice to use it for over a month without encountering mechanical failures or the illumination of the engine management light. Typically minor issues that do not impede the vehicle's movement, unlike the original poster's situation; yet, they are irritating. One would assert that this is typical for a 15-year-old vehicle with 100,000 miles; however, it is not consistent with my experience. Even my earlier ALFA, which lacks a service history and has almost twice the mileage, was more dependable and had much fewer breakdowns.I have owned other vehicles with far more mileage, yet so far, the Mercedes ranks prominently on the components failure list. It is to be hoped that she is OK with being unfavorable for a while. My three previous Mercedes-Benz models (R170 SLK, 200 CLK200, and W169 A170) have shown far greater reliability.

The loom modification is simple. There is no need to remove the dash. It will be one of the following: 1. The airbag 2. The contact spiral 3. The wiring modification Commence with the number three and proceed accordingly. Omit the key, and it will remain secure.
