Conduct a search for GPF issues; a remap voids the warranty.

Advice for motorway driving with a 2007 BMW E92 335i
Screwdriver_1 replied to Ortsmatt's topic in General Discussions
The price is rather inadequate considering the investment made in the automobile, particularly given the recent maintenance and its excellent condition. Occasionally, motorway costs may be quite inexpensive due to their efficiency in expediting vehicle movement. If time permits, I recommend first advertising it privately to assess the bids received. An immaculate E92 with a favourable history continues to attract interest from discerning purchasers. -

Excellent performance. I have been use a 3-inch applicator pad, employing little circular motions, and I find it really effective. Effortless removal using a microfiber cloth. 👍 -
Is the Sportage susceptible to theft due to vulnerabilities?
Screwdriver_1 replied to alpaco45's topic in General Discussions
Keyless entry systems are particularly susceptible to theft in the UK, affecting not just Kia but also Land Rover significantly. However, I am uncertain if any type of protection exists for non-keyless autos. Game Boy assaults (do a Google search) have proved problematic, but their prevalence remains uncertain to me. I like a visible deterrent; so, a Stoplock is likely as effective as any other strategy. Regrettably, if somebody want to steal your vehicle, they will devise a method to do it. -
Is the Sportage susceptible to theft due to vulnerabilities?

This topic has been extensively examined on this forum; please do a search since there are other discussions, but this is a representative thread. The decision ultimately hinges on the extent of your financial commitment to theft protection. The Ghost Immobiliser system is a well liked option, but costly. A widely favoured choice is a steering wheel lock, with Stoplock being a prominent variant. It is essential to store your key fob in a Faraday box or pouch as a basic precaution. Additionally, many Kia models provide a mechanism for disabling the keyless entry fob. -
I wish you as many years of happiness, mileage, and smiles as I have had with mine over the last nine years.

Do you subscribe to map updates with BMW Connected Drive? If applicable, download the most recent version with the BMW Download Manager. Examine the webpage provided below. If you lack a linked disk, I am uncertain how you may refresh the maps. -

Consider verifying if the maps need updating; if they do, go with the update, since this may rectify the issue. This is only a recommendation. -
It is not the automobile warranty that has been extended; rather, it is a components warranty, acknowledging the existence of a defect.
-
Are you inquiring whether the extended warranty you bought will cover the defect? If that is the case, then attempt to contact the extended warranty staff. Are you implying that Mercedes has expanded the new vehicle warranty to include a specific defect? If that is the case, it would be rather exceptional. Where did you get this information?

Machine Mart provides this Draper set; nevertheless, it is advisable to compare prices, since Draper tools are accessible from other retailers. This set includes an 18mm socket.

They provide a set of ratchet spanners similar to my own, however my older set lacks an 18mm spanner, while the one seen below has one.z

I am very certain that a socket set exists which permits a rod to be inserted. I just checked; I am certain they formerly had a proprietary 'Advanced' pass-through socket set, but the current set available lacks an 18mm socket. They provide a unique 18mm ratchet spanner at a remarkable price.

Are there any new cars that appeal to you?
Screwdriver_1 replied to Screwdriver_1's topic in General Discussions
Does no one care? -
It appears that the majority of individuals here possess older vehicles, myself included. I have concluded my pursuit of acquiring a new vehicle. This prompted me to contemplate the present selection of new BMWs and if any would appeal to me. Ultimately, I may purchase one of the new models in approximately ten years. I can genuinely assert that nothing compares to my F11 535d in terms of suitability for me. Perhaps the solution is to purchase one of the forthcoming 3.0 diesel 5 Series vehicles and retain it as a reserve for when my present car ultimately fails. Is there anything in the present lineup that appeals to you?

Factory-installed towbar for ZRV
Screwdriver_1 replied to Howard_silver's topic in General Discussions
The rear sensors and audible alerts do not deactivate when I attach my OEM detachable tow bar to my HR-V. Upon enquiring with the installing dealer, they asserted that this was the intended operation. Had I been aware that this would occur, I would not have proceeded with the installation. If you are dissatisfied, I recommend obtaining clarification of its intended operation from both the dealer and Honda UK. -
