  1. I accessed the vehicle using the key located at the back of the fob and charged the car overnight.Next morning both fobs worked and car started straight away .Still no light switch connected but when engine starts, lights come on but no main beam available. Turn engine off ,lights go off .No intermittent flashing every ten seconds.Car is as normal apart from no light switch connected 🤷.I am having a new switch installed and connected on Monday morning.
  2. If you charged the battery while it was still connected to a charger exceeding 4 amps, there is a significant likelihood that you have overcharged the battery. I experienced this with a 4 amp charger while I had Covid/flu, and the car was connected to the charger for more than a week. The alarm is likely to activate when you utilise the blade to open it, but remain calm as it will cease once you try to start the vehicle, and the fob should function properly thereafter. My vehicle failed to recognise either of the two fobs, and I discerned that it was in lockdown mode...That is contingent upon the absence of an unrelated problem, evidently…If you suspect the battery is overcharged, activate all lights, hazards, and the heater to prevent any abrupt surge. If it is the same issue I experienced, the battery was overcharged and subsequently discharged itself before recharging repeatedly; if this is indeed the case, you will notice the electrical system behaving somewhat erratically for a period.Engaging in multiple cycles of locking and unlocking, followed by a thorough test run, resolved my issues. Fortunately, the battery remains in good condition…Once more, it is evident that this could be an independent concern, yet I encountered the same issue that resolved on its own…I have previously experienced a similar situation when a window was left slightly ajar while the vehicle remained stationary for approximately two to three weeks…I am uncertain as to why, but it likely influenced the alarm or something similar. The electrical system of the Mondeo appears to exhibit erratic behaviour with minimal provocation…I apologise for not being able to assist further, and I wish you the best in your endeavours...
  3. A useful suggestion: ensure that the fill plug can be removed prior to draining any fluid from the gearbox.
  4. From my frequently referenced fault code compilation. The Mercedes-Benz code P0015 signifies "B" Camshaft Position — Timing Excessively Delayed (Bank 1). This suggests that the exhaust camshaft on Bank 1 is not returning to its baseline or "home" position as promptly as anticipated by the engine control unit. Origins. Defective VVT Solenoid / Camshaft Adjuster Magnet: A jammed, degraded, or electrically malfunctioning variable valve timing (VVT) magnet/solenoid is the most common cause.

  6. Lower pulley chain. Take a look at it while the engine is running to verify its true run-ability.
  7. Much obliged; I shall take your advice and, fingers crossed, it will not break the bank. Once again, I am deeply grateful.
  8. Hello everyone, This is my first post since I recently purchased a 2012 320i with 65,000 miles. The engine bay is making me nervous, though. It may be the notorious n20 engine whine, but it seems louder close to the serpentine belt. Excellent maintenance has always been performed at the main dealer for this vehicle. Is it possible to request a refund from the main dealer, considering that the timing chain has been serviced every 5,000 to 6,000 miles by them? Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. You have my utmost gratitude.
  9. It is common practice to charge for diagnostic time; however, if a fault is found and covered by warranty, you will not be charged. If you're worried about the finances, you might want to consider enduring the fault until it becomes permanent. It can be quite challenging to diagnose intermittent faults because the car may not detect them when the fault codes are read because it thinks the fault is minor and happens intermittently.
  10. Any 5w30 oil labelled with ll-04 will suffice. Alternatively, if you consider yourself an oil connoisseur, opt for Shell or Mobil, haha.
  11. Are there any error codes? or alerts on the dashboard.
  12. There used to be a lot of knowledgeable people on this forum, but the Venga is a great automobile for older adults like my wife and me who have arthritis. Simply said, our advanced age is causing our extinction.
  13. Because a back voltage is a common symptom of a blown fuse or a jammed or gone-of-control relay in Kia electrice, you might want to check those first. It seems like the anti-lock brake system relied on a toothed wheel—which might easily get jammed or rusted—to detect the wheels' speeds.
  14. In my former petrol Sportage, I found that the fuel efficiency was actually superior in normal mode compared to eco mode.
  15. After purchasing a Wahler brand, I effortlessly attached it to my OM642. Best of luck!
  16. I don't think this is an OEM product; can you take it back?
  17. Could you tell if it was a generic or authentic MB OEM part? Regarding the installed components, MB appears to be somewhat picky.
  18. As far as I can tell, the glowing light just modifies the suspension to make it more sporty. The E/M/S buttons on the left are responsible for adjusting the engine's characteristics; this button does not accomplish that. Is it possible that the vehicle has detected your preferred driving style and adjusted the suspension accordingly?

  20. what if, while driving on the highway, your alternator belt suddenly snapped?
  21. In the event that it is displaying warnings on Idrive, what diagnostic equipment was used to scan it? If so, there should be a code someplace.
  22. To narrow things down, get it examined for codes. things might be a defective temperature sensor.
  23. As long as it's not being carried by an undressed infant and it's legal, it's good.
