  1. I briefly considered a coupe in the past, but it was not a feasible option for our current circumstances.
  2. I highly recommend the battery. Additionally, it is advisable to refrain from including one's postal code on the forum.
  3. The vehicle in question is a 2009 E350 CDI Coupe 3L V6. After receiving information about ring leaks, I purchased one and a spare clamp. Three bolts have been recently removed from the power steering tank in order to replace the o ring. It has been determined that there is not just one pipe connected to the bottom right of the tank. The leak originates from an underground source, such as a pump or a pipe. If no visible signs are present, it will be necessary to remove the panel and clean it with steam in order to determine the source of the leak. The notion of a victor was disregarded.
  4. The use of an easy exit has never been employed. I will conduct an investigation.
  5. The following action will be taken if the metal exhibits a smooth surface. The battery of my drill is now depleted.
  6. The sensor is located next to the fuel line or glow plug on the right side of the engine. Envision a scenario where the whole 'L' shaped plastic component is completely detached, leaving no object to grasp onto. Additionally, a fuel rail is present in the vicinity. I exerted significant force on it while the two metallic prongs were protruding, and it remained still - both prongs detached. I attempted to use silicon grease in order to release it. The presence of a warm engine while my work on it may have been beneficial. I believe my only prospect is to persistently erode the plastic and observe the contours of the underlying brass, with the expectation that it may possess a suitable surface to adhere to. The plastic's fragility was astonishing, which explains why the sensor was malfunctioning... I will upload a photograph tomorrow.
  7. The tightness is so significant that I doubt adhesive will have any effect. The plastic is quite fragile, prompting me to contemplate forcefully breaking it and addressing any underlying issues...
  8. Greetings, I attempted to detach my coolant temperature sensor, however the plastic material was too fragile, causing it to crumble. Two metallic prongs remained, prompting me to use pliers and exert force to extract them. The remaining material consists of plastic, with the sensor firmly embedded inside the aperture. There is nothing to pull on. Do you have any suggestions? Have you ever encountered this dilemma? Will the brass/metal have a pliable texture when I gradually remove the fragile plastic? I have limited options in each situation... Presently in a state of utter impasse (both literally and symbolically)... I will upload a photograph tomorrow.
  9. May I have a photograph of the defect on the vehicle's display screen, please? Thank you.
  10. Once I successfully activate my OBD port, I will then proceed to give information that has a striking resemblance to what you are seeking. 🙂
  11. Apply lubricant to all the components of the lock.
  12. The first generation HV batteries are no longer produced and Mercedes-Benz charges a high price for them. eBay is the ideal choice.
  13. She bought a new laptop that came with a trial version of Microsoft Office or a similar software, which turned subscription-based after about a month, maybe Microsoft 365, but I am not certain since I mostly use Apple products.
  14. I purchased a remote and navigation package for my GLC for £204 including VAT for a 12-month period. I prefer the navigation system in my GLC over Waze, despite being in the minority. Mercedes sometimes makes peculiar judgements, but this is not uncommon among car manufacturers. My weekly dining expenses, which include cover alcohol, are almost the same amount as the rates for the Mercedes, so relatively speaking, the Mercedes costs are not too high. My wife's annual membership for Microsoft updates costs around £70 and is hardly used.
  15. If you are leasing, I recommend advocating for complimentary payments. Initiate a discussion first, since it is unlikely they would buy without discussing it.
  16. Engage in a conversation with your dealer (service manager/general manager) and then determine whether you need legal representation.
  17. If you own a pressure washer, here are the necessary steps to do the task independently. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tongdejing-Pressure-Undercarriage-Straight-Extension/dp/B08GRJ49LV/ref=sr_1_3?crid=393K4BXF7JZZO&keywords=under+car+pressure+washer+attachment&qid=1673255259&sprefix=under+car+,aps,158&sr=8-3
  18. Ensure that you fill the coolant up to the maximum line, since the low coolant sensors on R8 vehicles tend to be quite responsive.
  19. My suggestion would be to bring it to Jimmy at O'Rileys Auto's. Possesses a YouTube channel. DPF Guru It may be advisable to make the journey in order to avoid causing damage to the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), since repairs may be rather costly.
  20. I often use the air conditioning system while using the heating function throughout the Winter. Given our relatively temperate Winters, it is more pleasant to remove the moisture from the atmosphere on gloomy, rainy days. Although I cannot provide an exact measurement of the cabin's temperature, the presence of drier air creates a perception of coolness, suggesting that the air conditioning system may produce less heat.
  21. I was previously unaware of the existence of this peculiar substance, like silly putty and gummi, until I engaged in some contractual employment inside the vehicle manufacturing sector. Even Lidl had it in their inventory a few months ago. Alas! I have just been aware that I have once again made a post in the 'Detailing' forum.
  22. Contact your nearby PVC/double glazing window installer/company, since they often have the necessary cleaning solution to use after completing a work.v
  23. It is challenging since the automobile has accumulated 14,000 kilometres since you purchased it.
