While driving the S204 back from the workshop after rectifying a brake fluid leak, the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power while ascending a steep incline. There was little improvement over flat terrain, characterised by a lack of acceleration and insufficient power. I parked and connected my code reader to the vehicle, which displayed P0100, indicating a Mass or Volume Air Flow A Circuit issue. I erased the code and proceeded for another drive. After 30 kilometres, the issue has not reappeared, hopefully. Am I facing a potential MAF sensor replacement, an air leak from behind the airbox (M271 engine), or was this really an isolated incident? Has anybody else experienced this?

I failed to detect a fractured front spring on my W204 during a pre-MOT examination due to its breakage occurring close to the end. Both Mercedes-Benz vehicles I have had experienced a fracture of one front spring, and in each instance, I replaced just the fractured spring. In both instances, the right colour-coded replacement spring did not result in an uneven ride height, and in neither case did the other spring fail after many further years of service.

I performed the DCT gearbox oil service on my Cooper S Auto today. The service needed light has been extinguished, and the gearbox seems to shift more smoothly now. When the functionality is off, the stalk functions as a manual main beam. Have you attempted to deactivate the function in the settings and then reactivate it?

I acquired my automobile in August, and due to the diminishing daylight, Saturday was my first experience driving it at night, hence I am only now acclimating to this aspect. Update: I had the BMW dealer do an inquiry into the leaks: 1. There is a leakage of the engine from the valve covers of the cylinder head. 2. Gearbox leak: The issue involves the oil sump, adapter, and seals of the pan filter. Their repair estimate is very high. Can anybody provide a reference for a garage in the UB9 area? Alternatively, are there any individuals willing to be compensated for their assistance?

Yesterday, I had the oil filter replaced and was informed that there is an engine oil leak. I was already aware of this issue as it was brought to my attention by a MOT garage in November. I have travelled a distance of 4000 miles and it has been 18 months since my last oil change. I have not added any oil during this time. When I checked the dipstick 2 weeks ago, the oil level dropped down from the maximum level to 10mm above the minimum level. It seems that there is not a significant oil leak, since there is no oil visible on the driveway. However, there have been reports of a substantial amount of oil accumulating in the bottom tray. It is possible that the leak is originating from the rear of the engine. From where should I commence? I have saw the video from @Timm about leaks. I am also contemplating eliminating excessive repair expenses. The automobile has a low mileage of 56,000 km, however it is 15 years old and still has the original plastic/rubber seals with the "BMW" logo. The closest independent BMW dealership is Birdsauto located in Iver. Although they have received positive ratings, their services are known to be expensive. Thank you.

There are several factors to take into account: Will larger callipers be necessary to handle the increased width of the discs? If the connecting point is situated in a different place, it may be necessary to use other brake lines. Is the internal handbrake the same size as the original disc? Are the calliper mounting positions on your car the same as the donor's if they have a greater diameter? Is a new brake bias valve required when the rear brakes have a greater diameter? Since the majority of the braking is performed via the front brakes Is it worth the emotional distress and anguish?

Software has dampened the latter years. Valves do not achieve complete aperture until reaching greater revolutions per minute (RPM). If it is a decisive factor for you, then indeed, aiming for a 2020 R8 would be advisable. I assume it was the last year prior to the exhaust noise being muffled.
