Despite attempting several repair methods without achieving any positive results, I eventually resorted to procuring a cluster from a salvage yard. My question is to the feasibility of disconnecting the previous cluster and afterwards connecting the new one, so enabling immediate operation (although with erroneous mileage readings). I currently lack access to a VAG COM diagnostic tool, and due to the absence of a AUDI dealership within a considerable distance, I am rather hesitant to connect the device for diagnostic purposes.
