  1. This year marks the 24th anniversary of my beloved old X5, and it is still going strong.
  2. Bimmercode does not facilitate any tuning as you desire. The remark on the "visit tuner shop" suggests that a remap may be desired for enhanced performance.
  3. I receive a message from the application.
  4. The component I received functioned properly. Regrettably, I required the part today, as I am travelling to Leeds tomorrow. I now believe that all manufacturers who provided quotes for inexpensive parts up to VIN fg*** and costly parts beyond that VIN are deceptive, as the same item is compatible with all, provided the correct model is selected. Thank you for your assistance.
  5. Thank you. Retrieving an Intermotor replacement from Motor Parts Direct in Doncaster. I will inform you if it is successful!
  6. It functions adequately. Thank you.
  7. Greetings, yesterday I experienced the typical absence of power steering, loss of stability control, and malfunction of hill descent control, among other issues. I utilised ThinkDiag, which indicates that the front right wheel sensor is the source of the issue. I have removed it from the vehicle to acquire part numbers, and I am now rather perplexed. This is a Land Rover product with two part numbers: FK729E731-AA and 10.0711-5506.3. I am unable to locate a component that corresponds to these figures. Utilising Suderia, I obtain a reference to LR071974. They require £165.89 and must procure the component. Autodoc has a variety of sensors, in stock, similar to part number LR071974, priced between £14 and £90. Halfords and Europarts also require sums in the three-digit range. Am I overlooking something, as the pricing disparity implies that I am not purchasing the same item. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  8. it is sufficient; it is all I required. New ECU unit is forthcoming.
  9. I believe I cannot achieve a closer approximation to factory condition than this. It is an eternal love tale, hence I shall continue to indulge her as long as I am in her presence.
  10. Thank you for your response. I am fairly certain it is the CIS system. It may be 280E rather than E280, but it is 1980. Thank you.
  11. Seeking a somebody in South Lincolnshire to examine a friend's E280 injection system. Thank you
  12. The mirror fold feature intermittently deselects without apparent cause on the 2023 C300e, and the convenience opening function operates erratically.
  13. The Forum system has classified your vehicle as a Captiva 'Sport'. This, I believe, is attributable to the Forum's attempt to utilise AI in its descriptions. Being an American-based Forum, it predominantly considers American models, such as the Captiva Sport, and fails to recognise the existence of Captivas that are not American Sport variants. It is encouraging to learn that you have successfully completed the repairs, and I hope they will be beneficial in the future.
  14. Everything is satisfactory here. Is your foot on the brake?
  15. While they vary slightly, you should find a settings option or a similar feature within your Aftermarket box; I anticipate it will be included there.
  16. If your aftermarket head unit is compatible with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, it should have been equipped with a wireless antenna upon installation. They additionally possess a USB port for updates and wired AA connectivity. Disregard the automobile USB that serves solely to charge your phone. A WiFi dongle is unnecessary if your head unit is equipped with WiFi, as this may complicate matters further. My phone successfully connects via Bluetooth to both the car (RR Evoque) and the aftermarket head unit simultaneously without issue. Wireless AA necessitates the utilisation of Bluetooth for initial discovery, and pairing is required when prompted. When AA on your phone detects a wireless head unit, it thereafter attempts to connect to the WiFi automatically. To activate wireless Android Auto on your phone, you must enable it in the developer options.
  17. To utilise the Aftermarket box for wireless Android Auto, first pair your phone with the box via Bluetooth. Subsequently, it will automatically connect to the Aftermarket box's Wi-Fi, launching and connecting Android Auto without the need for manual Wi-Fi connection. Upon the initiation of the AA menu screen, you will have the freedom to proceed as desired. If you are able to reach that stage but cannot initiate an application such as Spotify or Google Maps, I recommend verifying that the permissions on your phone permit autostart; otherwise, the application will function when manually activated, but Android Auto will be unable to launch it autonomously.
  18. I appreciate your insights; they are very beneficial in alleviating my concerns and assisting me in the choice to retain our vehicle.I would consider exchanging it for an M340i one day, only to appreciate the amazing B58 engine.
  19. I apologise if this topic has been already addressed, but having had an exceptional M340D Touring for the last two years, I am becoming concerned that our low yearly mileage may lead to future problems. My wife mostly operates the vehicle, doing a daily round journey of around 8 miles to her business, with occasional longer excursions on weekends, resulting in an annual total of 6,000 miles. This week, during the 30,000-mile service at BMW, I expressed my concerns about the DPF/EGR, only to receive contradictory opinions: the service manager indicated that short journeys are detrimental to the vehicle, while the technician who performed the service reassured me that modern diesel engines do not present significant issues. I am becoming increasingly perplexed and would value any sincere feedback to guide me on whether I should consider exchanging my car for an M340i, which, while not the worst option, may not match the versatility and torque of my current vehicle that we truly appreciate.
