  2. There is a chain of timing. However, I would see to it that the tensioner belt is replaced when necessary. All service intervals are listed in the handbook, not the service book. Invoices for work done outside of Kia or a service book with stamped services are required. Then, as you lack the necessary documentation, you are unable to make any warranty claims.

  5. I recently purchased a car with 65,000 miles and no prior timing belt issues. When I called Perry's Kia dealer, they informed me that the interval is 190k. This is difficult for me to believe, and my responses have been contradictory. Does anyone know for sure if it has a chain or a belt (dry or wet)? Regards in advance. Mild hybrid Kia Sportage 1.6 diesel GT Line S.

  7. I cannot recall the precise process I employed, but this was the note I made upon acquiring the vehicle: There are two Toyota applications available on the App Store, and the required one is the black MyToyota app. MyT application - finalise vehicle registration procedure - scan QR code/registration number/VIN to establish account - associate facial recognition/link profile to key - connect multimedia device - refer to Manual pages 50-56 ✅ Multimedia - Registration System ✅
  8. On my Pixel 9, I merely require Bluetooth to be activated for recognition by the vehicle's infotainment system to log me in.
  9. I encounter no difficulty after adhering to the basic setup instructions; both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be enabled, and my iPhone connects and pairs effortlessly each time. 🤷‍♂️
  10. Mine exhibits identical behaviour. 😩👍
  11. My 2024 C-HR PHEV displays the identical (or comparable) screen upon each startup. I have cancelled it, as I have previously registered the vehicle with the MyToyota App, which provides complete remote capabilities, including trip recording and GPS tracking. After completing the setup process (which required providing approval through the app or the MyToyota website), I am periodically prompted by my vehicle to establish a personalised driving profile. I have not done so at this moment as I am the sole driver. It is a PHEV in Design Trim; therefore, it lacks electric seats with memory settings, which is why I have not pursued it. This may explain why the screen above consistently appears each time I start the vehicle. I must navigate through that screen and an additional warning screen on cautious usage while driving before accessing the functions of the Multimedia Display.
  12. Yes, it is your My Toyota account. Have you installed the smartphone application and connected your phone to the vehicle via Bluetooth?
  13. Why do I consistently get this issue every time I start the car? I have reset everything.
  14. I previously examined that. They perform excellently in Middle Eastern countries, but are unsuitable for UK weather conditions.
  15. There are solar chargers, although I am uncertain of their efficacy.

  17. I possess a Sealey Electrostart, as referenced in the link, but I did not spend anything near that price; I continued to search for a deal and acquired two units for slightly over £110 each, specifically the 1600 amp models. Provided the car battery maintains a voltage over 5 volts, the vehicle will initiate without necessitating the frequent recharging of the pack, as it derives power from the residual charge in the car's battery.
  18. E series vehicles manufactured between 2008 and 2011 may experience FRM corruption due to low battery conditions or battery disconnection.
  19. Greetings, everyone My residential circumstances, namely an assigned underground parking space devoid of access to 240v electricity, coupled with my driving patterns characterised by several short trips, are adversely affecting my battery's performance. I experimented with several portable chargers overnight, but their capabilities are insufficient unless I invest exorbitant amounts. The optimal approach would be to remove the battery for indoor charging; however, I have been informed that this practice is inadvisable, since it may result in rendering the FRM inoperative. Is this genuinely a matter of concern? It appears to be nonsensical, as you are effectively performing the same action as if the battery were replaced with a new one.
  20. Not all of these plates endure. The tester must utilise the age-related default.
  21. There are undoubtedly varying quality grades of aftermarket DPFs. I was fortunate to successfully clean the original OE component, but I suspect it was never genuinely obstructed. The van remains idle for extended periods and is mostly utilised for long journeys, such as vacations; it is not employed for short trips. The vehicle has undergone several MoT tests with the remap, and emissions have consistently not posed an issue. I must admit that I have not verified the permissible emissions value for my Viano. I do not observe any excessive smoke. It is hardly noticeable while driving, and no one has commented on it while following. I have never encountered a problem with Superchips. In the 320D and 330D models, the chip modified the traction control settings, allowing the vehicle to maintain full power instead of abruptly cutting it when wheel slip was detected; it utilised the ABS to brake the slipping wheel instead. I assert that this is the remap we possessed. I have no grievances.
  22. A plaque will be located beneath the hood or on your weight plate, displaying the maximum figure in the corner, typically less than 1.5; this is the maximum for earlier vehicles lacking the plate. My 2009 ALFA featured the number on the plate; therefore, your 2014 model will probably certainly have it as well.
