WordSmith
Greetings to everybody, I own a BMW 4 Series F32 (420d M Sport) and am now seeing the following fault alerts on the dashboard: 1. Driving stabilisation. Operate the vehicle at a reasonable speed. Failure of the Flat Tyre Monitor (RPA). 3. Parking Assistance. Position yourself. These problems emerged immediately after an automated vehicle wash, an infrequent occurrence for me. I used a BMW OBD tool, which revealed a malfunction in the front right ABS sensor. I have since replaced the front right wheel bearing and the ABS sensor; yet, the faults persist. What I Have Verified: • Substituted the front right ABS sensor. • Examined the wiring and connections of the sensor. Utilised a diagnostic tool to rectify the issues, which persistently reoccur. My enquiries: 1. Is it possible that there exists another underlying reason for these issues notwithstanding the sensor replacement? 2. Is it possible that the automated vehicle wash caused harm to other components associated with the ABS or electrical systems? Should I examine additional sensors or the ABS module? 4. Is recalibration of the sensor required after the replacement of an ABS sensor? I appreciate your assistance and guidance in advance! TDudette
Examine the velocity feedback from each sensor in real-time data. What kind of sensor and bearing did you install?
WordSmith
I appreciate your response! I have not yet reviewed the live data for each sensor, but I will do so at the earliest opportunity. I used the below components: • Wheel Bearing Kit: STARK, front axle, with an integrated ABS sensor and bolts. • ABS Sensor: KAMOKA brand. TDudette
I would be wary of the components, particularly the sensor. Attempt to interchange the sensor from one side to the other and see whether the defect relocates, after verifying the live data.
ByteStorm
Did the errors manifest immediately after the sensor replacement or after a week? subsequently. I enquire because I performed this task on a 320d and failed to secure the wire correctly, resulting in the same warnings reappearing a week later after the wire had worn through. It was only a consideration.
WordSmith
Thank you for your recommendation! The problem manifested shortly after an automated vehicle wash, rather than directly after the sensor replacement. I seldom use automated vehicle washes, leading me to question if water may have induced a wiring problem or a sensor failure. I will verify the wiring to ensure all connections are secure and that there is no damage or water infiltration.
IrvesBMW
A forum search would have directed you to purchasing a BMW sensor; however, I previously acquired an aftermarket one that functioned well from a firm on eBay with "Bavarian" in its name, but I cannot recall the specific brand, since Johnny knows which brands he utilises.I modified my vehicle since, after driving in heavy rain, the triple light problem would activate, including the handbrake and ABS indicators. Perhaps your situation is similar, however my issue was with the rear nearside, as I saw erratic behaviour in the speedometer and fuel gauge. WordSmith
Thank you for the counsel! I acknowledge that OEM BMW sensors exhibit greater reliability, and I will take that into account. Your reference to water concerns is intriguing. My issues manifested immediately after an automated vehicle wash, suggesting a potentially similar situation. I will maintain the thread with my findings.

Howard_silver
I recommend replacing the STARK (Autodoc proprietary brand) components with superior alternatives, namely F.A.G or SKF. In addition to a significant probability of sensor malfunctions, it is probable that the wheel bearing will experience early failure, and the hub may readily deform if a tire shop excessively torques the wheels, due to the use of inferior, low-yield steel, resulting in costly repercussions. This is predicated on the aforementioned occurrence occurring to me on two occasions.
