Full installation of W123 compatible tow bar
EatSuru replied to AMG33D's topic in General Discussions
The rule from 1998 was completely new to me. I do have a 'unsafe, handbuilt, backyard towbar' that I purchased with the intention of using it with a W123, in case anyone is interested. It could work, but it's drastically simplified compared to the real thing, and my trusted German mechanic in Exeter threatens to shoot me if I try to install a "rubbish UK-made" alternative. -
Full installation of W123 compatible tow bar

MT24, have you ever come across one? I'm on the hunt for something similar, but hen's teeth are so rare! Where could it be, though? I'm sure it exists. I have one that claims to suit a W123, but my technician is adamant that we can only install one that is EURO type-approved, even if it isn't! So it's not used. -
I cannot provide a solution; nevertheless, this issue should undoubtedly be addressed by the previous owner and/or the dealer prior to the sale.

Discomfort with the Highland column while using Easy Entry
EatSuru replied to Rashman4u's topic in General Discussions
My steering column's expansion during telescope operation was the subject of a service visit yesterday. I received a quote for $430 when I made the appointment. The estimate was changed to zero the day prior to the visit. Incorrect factory lubrication, according to the Service Advisor, caused a spate of columns to start making a growling sound. The noise disappeared as soon as the new steering column was lengthened. Upon returning home, I became aware of a distinct sound produced whenever the steering wheel was turned. They corrected it in under 20 minutes after I drove the half an hour back to the service center. They brought it in straight immediately. Rash was caused by the plastic moulding. Fixing it quickly. -
After searching online for "OEM BMW suspension sensors," I received Several prominent automobile companies provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) suspension sensors for BMW. The main suppliers are Continental/VDO, Bosch, Tenneco (Monroe), and ZF (Lemforder/Sachs). When it comes to ride height/level sensors, Continental VDO is a common supplier. Both Aerosus and Arnott provide other, equally good substitutes. Tenneco (via their Continuously Controlled Electronic Suspension system) and Continental (a ZF trademark) are common names for electronic damper control (EDC) and acceleration sensors. Find a brand name when you know the apart number. I don't believe AI or Google are perfect, but you're absolutely correct that the BMW box was overpriced.

Concerning longevity, the Ingenium engine is not the most inferior; that assertion is somewhat exaggerated. However, it did have challenges upon its initial release, most of which have since been resolved or enhanced. Contemporary diesel engines exhibit reliability concerns compared to their predecessors due to the additional components and complexity introduced to comply with stringent Euro regulations. I believe that the fuel additive AR6900-D Max effectively aids in the functioning of the DPF and related components.

Consult the handbook for the selection of available wheels and suggested tyres, and select one from that list. Installing tires outside the specified dimensions may affect insurance coverage.

Thank you, I will conduct some preliminary checks tomorrow and will reach out if I encounter difficulties.

Could this be a grounding problem?

I was anticipating your visit. I shared the same opinion; however, he assessed the battery, which indicated it was functioning properly, and it also failed to jump-start from his pack or the van. I had previously experienced alternator problems that resulted in unusual electrical troubles; yet, he reiterated that the jump start should have initiated the engine. I am enquiring whether there are any unusual minor features that could lead to these symptoms.

Greetings everyone, This is my inaugural post here. Yesterday, my 2016 Clubman SD stalled and is now inoperative. While driving to work as usual, without any prior indications, the collision system indicated a malfunction, subsequently followed by a defect in the stability control system. At this juncture, the vehicle decelerated progressively and the engine ceased operation. The RAC retrieved my vehicle but indicated that their system displayed numerous errors, primarily related to communication issues. I am seeking suggestions for initial steps and plan to schedule an appointment with a small specialist for diagnostic purposes; nonetheless, I am curious if there are prevalent issues similar to this one. Thank you.

I own this feature on my 2025 GLE; it functions effectively and I utilise it most mornings. Heated seats, steering wheel, and overall heating activated. Vehicle prepared for performance. -
If you require photographs of the dashcam placements and the cable installation routes, please inform me, and I will endeavour to obtain them as the weather permits.

I have installed front and rear dashcams on my current MY26, as well as my previous MY20 and MY23 Evoques without issue. I have also integrated a Cellnet Neo7 battery for the dashcams, which receives power solely from the ignition to charge the battery and operate the dashcams while the engine is running; the battery supplies power to the dashcams when parked. I found the battery in the trunk and established a power connection using a fuse tap from the rear fuse box power socket fuse. After supplying power to the battery, I routed a cable beneath the vehicle's trim to the front dashcam on one side, and then connected a coaxial wire from the front dashcam to the rear dashcam on the opposite side of the vehicle. The installation of the dashcams and the concealment of the cords required around one and a half hours; it was a straightforward task. I have never encountered an issue with the electronic systems in any of my Evoques. I acquired the Cellnet Neo because, prior to owning my first Evoque, I connected the dashcams directly to the fuse box for both parking and driving modes in a Volvo XC60, which resulted in numerous issues until I purchased a dedicated battery. Since then, I have solely relied on this battery to power the dashcams.

I would refrain from acquiring a smoking M157 engine. Worn bearings, piston rings, or oil seals in the turbocharger may be present. My recommendation is to seek one that is not emitting smoke. An inexpensive AMG does not exist. If anything is undervalued, there is an inherent issue with it. Typically costly. AMG, which denotes All Money Gone, is not an inaccurate representation if one acquires a defective model.

Maintain fresh batteries in the keys and annually alternate with the spare key to avoid loss of programming, since reprogramming at the dealership may be costly.

Inquiry Regarding iTunes, Apple Music, and Apple CarPlay
EatSuru replied to clk320x4's topic in General Discussions
Apple Music lacks the idea of folders. It will associate songs into albums based on the metadata present in the files during the ripping process. From your head unit or mobile device, just choose a track, artist, album, playlist, etc., and it will begin playing. You will not choose a folder like you would with a USB drive. iTunes is required on your Windows laptop or desktop to transfer them to your phone or to the cloud. You may either download from the cloud to your phone or stream directly. -

I extend my condolences over your father. Indeed, you are correct; one cannot take possessions after death. Therefore, use resources wisely and get pleasure from them. Remember to include photographs.
