2016 Tesla Model S (Facelift) Category S (Salvage)
EatSuru replied to cumblechook22's topic in General Discussions
Rooting the MCU2 is quite difficult and requires physical access. Your optimal course of action is to direct message LayZ, since he is the expert in this domain. There may be a method to modify some gateway configurations, however I have been informed that it is only feasible for pre-2020 MCU2s. Furthermore, Full Self-Driving (FSD) is now accessible for MCU1, so it may be feasible to install and activate it; however, I am uncertain. It is new information to me that it is disabled for salvage vehicles, which could pertain to European regulations. -

Approximately 1,000 is only designated for high-voltage inspection and service centre reactivation, unrelated to full self-driving. Thank you for the information regarding the UK. -

Perhaps the UK is unique. That discussion does not reference salvage vehicles. Is your assertion pertaining to salvage autos specifically or to all vehicles in general? -

1) Continuously, after examination, they will reactivate it (or allow it via root access, which you likely own). False 3) False. They will not work on any high-voltage components until a separate inspection is conducted. However, various mechanical and 12V systems are permissible. Inspection costs vary by area, but $1,000 seems reasonable (you did purchase a less expensive vehicle by acquiring a salvage title, correct? Thus, it is a little expense). Upgrading to MCU2 will result in the loss of the SC 'hack' presently in place, necessitating an examination. -
I have traversed the same section of freeway in a recent model Corolla hybrid without encountering the troubles I am now facing. The tires, produced in April of the previous year in Turkey, may have been improperly stored, perhaps resulting in flat spotting. I will attempt to persuade the dealer to replace the tires with a different brand, produced more recently and sourced from another nation, and observe the outcome. I will document the findings after this has transpired.

It is a 1.8-liter hybrid. In New Zealand, the Limited model ranks as the second most expensive variant of this vehicle, while the GR model is the most costly. The primary distinctions between the two are that the Limited lacks the greater horsepower 2-liter engine but has a glass roof.

The tire pressure is within specifications, and the wheels have been balanced. I test drove two of the dealer's demonstration vehicles, and they had identical flaws. The term "bouncing" may be misleading; it would be more correct to state that the car(s) exhibit a little vibration between 90-110 km/hr. The tires were manufactured around 1.5 years ago, which may indicate improper storage resulting in a flat area. The tires are Bridgestone Turanza. Similarly, the other vehicles I have evaluated possess tires that were produced concurrently, all in Turkey. From your statement, I infer that your automobile does not experience this problem.

Has anybody seen these new models exhibiting a tiny bounce when driving on a smooth road at speeds between 90 and 100 km/h? Which deteriorate with increased velocities. Identical for all models regardless of their tires.

Wow, that's rather reasonable. -
Insurance coverage for recently licenced young drivers

Initially, I attempted to use their services, but promptly received a message instructing me to contact them, maybe due to the fact that the vehicle is already insured via their company. I appreciate your guidance on Compare the Market as well. -

Although I personally don't use comparison services, it is really a wise suggestion to consider using them, especially considering the potential fluctuations in insurance rates that young drivers are likely to encounter. Thank you -
Insurance coverage for recently licenced young drivers

Thank you. We purchased a Fiat 500e and first insured it in my name at a favourable price. Subsequently, I included her as a designated driver with a temporary permit, which was a sensible decision. Today, I updated her status to a designated driver with a full licence, which remains a good choice. Over time, I anticipate that she will use it more often than I would. Therefore, I am proactively preparing for the future by obtaining a separate coverage for her. Currently, I am operating the vehicle and am currently seated within it. The air conditioning is on when the vehicle is being charged at a station. -

Can anybody recommend insurance firms that provide reasonable rates for newly licenced young drivers? -
It is advisable to wait until the summer season, as it will be more convenient to remove the item when the temperature is high. Alternatively, you may also use a hair dryer to facilitate the removal process.

To clarify Recently, I inspected a C63 with 70,000 miles on an 08 model. I was interested in it since it was the least expensive non CAT D vehicle listed on the market, priced at £20,950. The film was really disappointing and the motor was producing a banging sound due to a leaky exhaust. Upon my inquiry, the vendor assured me that he would have it inspected. The item was promptly withdrawn from online sales and subsequently surfaced at another retailer in Northern Ireland. I examined a few crude ones. A sum of £17500 would not be sufficient to purchase a substantial amount, since it falls even below the trading value.

Seems very inexpensive I would use extreme caution.

Apologies if this is not the appropriate forum, but my friend's 2010 E350(?) convertible is unable to retract its roof. The device is completely non-functional, with no audible or tactile indications of activity. Is it possible that the issue is as simple as a blown fuse? Which location should I inspect to verify and identify the specific fuse?
-
I believe that is a feature that is available as part of the factory configuration.

I am aware that there is a scarcity of fuel, and many of us are facing the same situation. Are the Nox sensors priced at £1000 for the pair? The cost of an Adblue tank is around £1000. The purpose was to inform you in order to prevent any costly surprises. The 350 is an exceptional diesel engine.

Prior to making a decision, ensure that you have thoroughly familiarised yourself with the issues surrounding adblue, Nox sensors, and the clean air zones in adjacent cities. Does your diesel vehicle accumulate sufficient mileage?
