I own a GLA 180 with a first registration date of 17 10 2019, which I purchased on 19 09 2020. Towards the end of last year, I saw the occurrence of lacquer bubbling on the vehicle. Following my meeting with Mercedes-Benz Sandown Holes Bay Poole, I was informed in a straightforward manner that they had no intention of taking any action about the issue. Interestingly, the issue pertains to the colour red. I sought guidance on potential courses of action or individuals to call, but the individual responded with a nonchalant gesture indicating a lack of responsibility. Astonished! The remaining parts of the automobile seem to be in pristine condition. I would much appreciate any valuable guidance that might brighten my day!

It is advisable to get a second opinion from an other technician on the need of replacing the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). -
Warranty problem with a rusty subframe on a W203 coupé
BenTrevor replied to CheresX's topic in General Discussions
Greetings, I appreciate your response. Trays have the capacity to conceal a wide range of imperfections. It is suggested that a periodic enhancement of the Ministry of Transport (MOT) test for automobiles should be conducted at a frequency of once every five years. -
Warranty problem with a rusty subframe on a W203 coupé

It is imperative that the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) directs its attention on the issue of structural component failures in Mercedes Benz passenger automobiles. I am not asserting that Mercedes is the only passenger vehicle manufacturer experiencing rust-related concerns; rather, there are other manufacturers facing similar challenges. The rear suspension of the C207 automobile is purportedly constructed using lightweight materials like as aluminium. However, there is scepticism about this claim, since it is quite likely that thin, high-strength steels are also used in its production. In order to provide a thorough inspection of the vehicle's undercarriage, it is essential that the under trays be appropriately removed during the execution of MOT testing. -
It is posited that some roof panels of the 2012 SLK model were subject to a problematic condition. In 2013, a transition was made to use a glass panel instead. The faulty components were replaced with glass, and there are discussions about this matter on either this site or the SLK forum. It is uncertain if the same actions were taken with the SL.

That's amazing! Where should I begin my search for. Any advice, doc? Who is the vendor?

Regarding the W221 model, could you please provide more context or specify the topic you are referring to? I have located the time component inside the command. What is the procedure for accessing it on the steering wheel?
-
The observed behavior indicates that the system provides time intervals of 30 minutes.

Greetings, everyone. The dashboard clock on my 2009 w221 vehicle indicates a time that is around 3 to 4 minutes behind the actual time. I am uncertain about how to make adjustments. If someone were to impart their intelligence, it would prevent me from experiencing annoyance whenever I encounter it.

Refinishing BMW E61 Body Panels Due to Peeling Paint?
BenTrevor replied to VWDaveBMW's topic in General Discussions
There is a localized region of desiccated paint present on the rear passenger door of my vehicle. Based on the localized nature of the issue, it is plausible to surmise that the smart repair in question may have been executed poorly. I want to have the object undergo repainting in the foreseeable future; nevertheless, I am not very worried about safeguarding measures, since the first layer of paint will remain intact. -
The service history associated with my idrive system became inaccessible subsequent to the upgrade performed by the blackbox service manager. I kindly request your assistance.

Upon more experimentation, it seems that the phenomenon in question may really be a consistent occurrence. It is OK to manually insert the item. Upon observing the revolutions per minute (RPM) prior to the gear change, it is hypothesized that the transition may include a straight drop from the fifth gear to the third gear. In the context of poultry farming, the term "hen" refers to a female chicken that is typically raised for egg production. One has difficulty in maintaining equilibrium between the act of braking and the amplified forward movement when descending a slope. It has been observed that there is a noticeable roughness in the vehicle's performance while engaging in a little acceleration and thereafter manually shifting to the third gear without disengaging the accelerator. Engaging in coasting and afterwards shifting to third gear manually or executing a forceful downshift is deemed acceptable. It is peculiar.
-
Thank you, sir. Unfortunately, my box does not include the feature of slope adjustment. As a preference, I often choose to maintain it in regular mode rather than comfort mode. My present practice involves manually maintaining the transmission in third gear when I anticipate the occurrence of the above situation. It is reassuring to learn that this is an often seen phenomenon.

Thank you for your prompt response. The topic under discussion pertains to the concept of seven-speed. The vehicle has accumulated a mileage of 101,000 kilometers. A gear box service was performed on the vehicle around 15,000 miles ago, coinciding with its purchase. It is my understanding that the prior owner had also had this issue. Based on my understanding, appropriate fluids were used and the fluid level is satisfactory. The Indianapolis (Indy) products that I employed have consistently shown high quality, since I have relied on them for an extended period of time. The temperature of the transmission fluid remains within an appropriate range, typically about 75 degrees Celsius, while operating under high temperature conditions. The aforementioned alterations are acceptable; however, transitioning to the third gear when decelerating on a downward slope at around 26 miles per hour. It is peculiar. It seems that there are no other methods available for inspecting the transmission fluid, except from the process of emptying it.
-
Greetings, everyone. The subject of discussion is to a 2006 CLK 350 model. When decelerating while descending a slope at around 30 miles per hour, a significant jolt is experienced when shifting down to third gear, like a minor rear-end collision. Has this phenomenon been reported by other individuals? The fluid has been recently replaced, and the remaining gears are operating well and without issue. There is no display of any codes.

Is it typical for brake pads to get worn out after 8,000 miles?
BenTrevor replied to drummer's topic in General Discussions
This particular dealership effectively represents the brand with great success. If the dealer exhibits such a level of dishonesty, it raises questions over their willingness to repair the brake pads or just accept the £300 payment and replace the sensor. I intend to submit a formal complaint to MB UK and notify the appropriate regulatory body, trade standards, about the matter at hand. It is difficult to ascertain the absence of fraudulent intent given the meticulousness shown in specifying the remaining 2mm of padding. -
Repair for the 2010-2011 E350 W212 OM642!
BenTrevor replied to MrGreedy's topic in General Discussions
A. The presence of black smoke is likely attributed to a factor that cannot be resolved with a routine service, although it is possible that a problem may be identified during the servicing process. As previously mentioned by others, it is plausible that this situation may be considered within the realm of normalcy. It is essential to ensure that the vehicle is brought to a specialized Mercedes-Benz technician who has the necessary diagnostic tool, known as STAR, in order to conduct a comprehensive examination for any fault codes. It is important to note that individuals possess a legal entitlement to refuse acceptance of an automobile in the event of a significant malfunction arising during the first 30-day period. It is advisable to promptly seek professional attention for the purpose of examining the matter at hand, as there is a possibility of an underlying significant concern. -
Thank you for sharing your perspective. After considering the cost of retro fit, which amounts to over two hundred pounds, I have decided to forgo the opportunity. Take care and remember the importance of continuous learning.

The user's text "W245" does not provide any information or context. Therefore, I have prior knowledge of the item I purchased, since it prominently displays the label "b180" on its rear surface.
-
I am uncertain about the specific model, but it seems to be a 2010 B180 Sport. I am uncertain on the methodology for determining the specific model.
-
I am in possession of a b180 diesel vehicle and I am now inquiring about the presence of soundproofing material on the underside of the bonnet. I have seen no indications of such material being there.

I had a similar issue with my 2.7 tiptronic transmission after a mere 30,000 miles. Following many visits to my authorized dealer and an independent RAC report, the transmission sump was removed, the oil was replaced, and a thorough inspection of all clutches was conducted. The individuals said that they were unable to identify any deficiencies whatsoever. Although the situation has improved, it remains unsatisfactory, and I am no longer inclined to engage in further dispute with them.
