Thank you for your recommendations. I would want to test them, but regrettably, Kia Bolton still has my vehicle. They were expected to replace the alarm control module, which was proved malfunctioning by diagnostic code reading; nevertheless, they failed to order the replacement for me. They may well be "Europe's foremost Kia dealer" in terms of sales volume or profit, although their after-sales service is utterly inadequate. Do you believe it would be beneficial to contact Kia UK directly?

Greetings everyone, I brought my Sorento to Bolton Kia on Friday for its fourth-year service and enquired with a technician if the car should transmit torque to the wheels when in Drive and on Auto Hold. He said that it should function as if the clutch is engaged in a manual vehicle. He took it for a test drive to verify this and returned affirming that he saw it performing as I described. He expressed his belief that it should not behave that way, although he was unable to provide any more clarification. Does anybody else's vehicle exhibit similar behaviour? When observing the display indicating the four wheels, activate Auto Hold in Drive (D). Does the display indicate orange for the wheels? When shifted into neutral, does the vehicle "relax" when the clutches disengage and the display transitions from orange to grey? I am eager to get input about the car's problem with warped brake discs, as I suspect that the brake system's excessive clamping force to stop a vehicle under torque is the cause of the brake failure. They are attempting to mislead me by suggesting it may be a wheel balance problem; nevertheless, the wobble manifests just while braking. Thank you very much

No, it should not nullify the warranty; it only reads data. Codes may be deleted if retained; however, I recommend against this, since they provide valuable information for technicians at the KIA dealership. Nonetheless, I would refrain from mentioning it to the merchants... Bear in mind that I am only an individual on the Internet with whom you have no prior acquaintance! 😁 UPDATE: I have just seen this post by Alan H. Several of his statements closely like yours; may this indicate a comparable concern?

The DCT may exhibit some variability based on my readings here, impacting Ceeds, Proceeds, and Xceeds. Have you seen any discrepancies in the unusual behaviour between Normal and Sport modes? Inexpensive Bluetooth OBD scanners are available that use a mobile application; however, they may only be effective for code identification, which would illuminate the EML, contrary to your situation. I own an earlier Autel scanner capable of recording minutes of live data from several sensors, which may be significant to a KIA mechanic (fortunately, I have not yet needed to use this feature!). Any scanner is preferable than having none, since costs have significantly decreased in recent years, making it unnecessary to spend much.

I am aware that my JD Generation GT, like with other turbocharged Kias I have seen here, restricts power until the engine reaches its usual operating temperature. However, to be candid, your problem does not seem to align with this, particularly if you can get normal acceleration shortly thereafter. It may be a malfunction in the programming of your DCT; consulting another owner would be advisable. Your suggestion to leave the Ceed with them overnight is indeed prudent, but inconvenient. Do you own an OBD reader?

I believe the dip beams are inadequate. I requested the dealer to elevate them to the maximum permissible level and was informed that they were already at that height. The high beam performance is satisfactory; however, the dipped beam is inferior to that of my previous vehicle equipped with xenon lights, which were themselves subpar compared to the prior halogen lights. Performance under fog is suboptimal. The Auto setting for dip sometimes exhibits a sluggish response time.

Recommendations for purchasing a R8 V10
p00rmansp0rsche replied to DreamWeaver's topic in General Discussions
I have had a total of 6 Porsche 911 cars, which included a Turbo and a Cabriolet, over a span of 40 years. However, I just decided to switch to a 2017 R8 Plus model. I have a strong recollection of all my Porsches, and I hold them in high regard. However, the presence of a V10 engine in a R8 elevates it to a superior level. -

Does your insurance policy provide coverage for missing keys? Certainly, it is essential to consider the rise in insurance costs associated with future claims.

It is possible to purchase a fob from online marketplaces like Amazon or eBay and have a locksmith cut the blank key. However, it is necessary to have the key coded, and it is unclear if this requires an IID type code reader or whether it can only be done by the primary dealer. If it is the second option, I would expect the cost to be in the hundreds of pounds.

If the suggestions provided in this discussion are ineffective, it is conceivable that the BeCM (Body electronic Control Module) is permanently inaccessible, and the only method to regain access is by using a diagnostic tool manufactured by Blackbox Solutions (such as Rovacom or Faultmate). Perform a forum search using the keyword "SM35" to get insights on the solution for your issue. I possess the requisite equipment to do this task; but, it will need the extraction of the BeCM and its subsequent dispatch to my location. Kindly communicate with me via a confidential message so that we may establish a concrete arrangement.

How to fix a chipped paint on a calliper?
p00rmansp0rsche replied to p00rmansp0rsche's topic in General Discussions
Can you recommend the most durable sort of touch-up paint for a calliper? -
Greetings, everyone. Recently, I had my paint callipers coated with black powder using a process called powder coating. All of them are in excellent condition, however I just saw a little chip on one of them (measuring 2-3x2-3 mm, indicating its modest size). I am capable of refraining from intervening, but it causes me distress. Considering the supposed durability of powder coating, I am perplexed as to what might have caused any damage. Could the recent flushing of my brake fluids at the dealer be connected to this? I am not inclined to assign blame since it is a common occurrence, but I am seeking guidance. What is the most effective approach to handle this situation? 1. Should I refrain from making any changes and accept it as it is, considering its insignificance? 2. Purchase touch up paint that matches the original colour and apply it precisely to the affected area. Would conventional automotive paint be suitable? 3. Would you want to redo the powder coating on the calliper? (This option might be rather costly!) We would really welcome any input.

Hello I have had the lightweight and costly OZ Superforgiata wheels weighing 7.3 and 9.3 kilogrammes for a decade.

The AC button is one of the first things I deactivate when I enter my daily driver (DD). It is bothersome and superfluous to have it continually activated by default, especially considering the inconvenience of having to constantly look at an orange LED.

The air conditioning system consistently activates while defrosting. on the past, using the Defrost setting on your vehicle would cause the windows to get foggy until you either allowed fresh air to enter or turned on the air conditioning. Recirculating the air caused the automobile to fog up.
