  1. I have also procured an ISTA cable for the purpose of doing diagnostics using Ista-D at a later time this evening. I am hopeful that a prompt resolution may be achieved.
  2. I just had my vehicle transported to my residence and would want to begin by inspecting all fuses connected to gasoline, drivetrain, and the electronic control unit (ECU). However, I am currently unable to locate any comprehensive diagrams or listings of these fuses. Could you please provide any relevant sources or references? Greetings
  3. After doing a diagnostic scan, the sole detected fault is U1164, which is a somewhat general error code that pertains to communication issues originating from the Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
  4. Greetings. The vehicle in question had a sudden cessation of functionality shortly after departing from the driveway, originally leading the user to suspect a potential issue with the start-stop system. Subsequently, the vehicle has failed to initiate the cranking process. Several errors were encountered. The occurrence of a drivetrain malfunction. The provision of fuel The user's text contains an error. The brake system is an essential component of a vehicle's overall safety mechanism. It is responsible for slowing down or stopping the vehicle by The individual had a failure and was unable to start their vehicle. They determined that the problem was not related to electricity, since a voltage measurement of 12.8V was obtained and the vehicle still failed to start. Postscript: Approximately one week before, while operating a motor vehicle, the driver experienced a sudden jolt and afterwards received an error message related to the drivetrain. The driver attempted to resolve the issue by turning the vehicle off and on again, and has since driven a distance of 200 miles without further incident. At the time, the driver did not attach any significance to this occurrence. Do you have any suggestions on potential starting points for excavation?
  5. Yesterday, I attempted to do maintenance on our equipment. However, I encountered a challenge as the spindle was firmly stuck owing to significant corrosion. Consequently, I made the decision to purchase a pre-owned bracket/spindle combination in excellent condition for a total cost of £12. The act of cleaning and greasing the final E91 was deemed worthwhile, since it did not encounter any issues.
  6. The circular component mentioned is an integral element of the wiper motor. In the event that there is resistance in the spindle, it will result in the motor being deactivated due to an excessive flow of electricity. In order to do a motor test, one should use a screwdriver to activate the latch and thereafter engage the rear wiper switch. It is vital to verify that the motor disk is rotating as expected. It is important to remember to activate the glass button once more before to its deactivation.
  7. To disassemble the arm, it is necessary to remove it first. Once the arm is off, one will find a circlip that secures the spindle inside the housing. Remove the aforementioned item and proceed to apply a penetrating fluid inside the designated enclosure. In order to get optimal results, it is preferable to liberate the spindle. However, it is desirable to extract the spindle from the opposing side for the purpose of thorough cleaning and lubrication.
  8. Alternatively, the spindle may be immobilized at the point where it traverses the glass handle.
  9. Alare taking the p**s, thanks for the quick reaction and investigation. Meyle or Ridex are also good options.
  10. Hello, I need to replace the front lower suspension arm on my 2016 BMW 520D estate, however the lowest ones I can find from the manufacturer cost £272 apiece. Need recommendations for affordable, high-quality alternatives; have seen a couple very inexpensive ones but can't tell whether they're any good. Any advice would be much appreciated.
  11. Everyone there is just so ugly. What they are saying, I just cannot comprehend.
  12. But that's just my opinion; I believe the front discs should be replaced. Brakes I can believe in, but not radio on 3hz.
  13. The Facebook automobile almost certainly does not even exist; nevertheless, if you are interested in going on an adventure, you might inquire about going to see it in Rotherham.
  14. Haha! No worries for me about cloning - anyway, at least my Tiguan is a genuine VW and not some Chinese "clone"
  15. My keychain never goes to sleep since it's a real key that goes into a lock.
  16. Yes, I also sleep after a period, and I refuse to work until I've been relocated again.
  17. Unfortunately, there is no SD card reader, and those two USB-C ports are indeed difficult to access. You can use a micro-SD card that is compatible with a USB-C adapter to play your music files, but adapters are notorious for not retaining the last track played and starting from track 1 each time the engine is restarted. Currently, I am experimenting with various USB sticks/FAT32/exFAT, etc., as my infotainment music files only occasionally recollect since the last Nav update. As for speed limits, some will be in the database, but I believe the camera will detect road construction signs. However, I rarely use cruise control, so it doesn't slow me down and simply displays a warning that I've exceeded the speed limit on the dashboard. I'm not astonished by "phantom" speed limits, as the posted speed limit on my road is 30 mph, yet I'm constantly reprimanded for exceeding 20 mph, and once it thought I should be travelling at 5 mph! Thankfully, I do not have a keyless entry system. I have a standard dashboard and can readily view mpg, remaining miles, rudimentary navigation, audio options, etc. The heater controls are not to my preference, as I prefer knobs and gauges, but I believe that the Golf 8's non-illuminated sliders have deterred many potential purchasers. Yes, space-saver for me - like insurance, you pray you never have to use it, but you never know......
  18. Can't you simply take the vehicle somewhere else if it's a warranty claim and you're having so much trouble?
  19. The same goes with my Fabia. Skoda suggests replacing your vehicle every 5 years, regardless of mileage. We're looking at a 1.2-liter gasoline engine here. I've been ignoring it so far, but I may have them fix it in September when it's due for repair.
  20. I've already spent many hours this weekend disassembling the components around the engine. A/C condenser and radiators were removed. engine oil and coolant were drained. Power steering lines, an alternator, and top bolts on the engine mount were all removed. Draining the gearbox, removing the exhaust downpipes, the prop-shaft flange, the earth strap and ultimately the rear gearbox mount are yet to be done. There will be some different pins, thus some soldering will be required. I'm going to remove every pin from the ECU connections and then insert the pins from the CLK55 engine loom.
