  1. Is the vehicle's mapping not modified or has the AdBlue system not been removed? Is the new Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) being instructed to reset the Electronic Control Unit (ECU)?
  2. The SDS provides information on the permissible deviation in the smooth run test. However, the injectors own their individual correction values, which provide an indication of the injector's "condition".
  3. The ECU is using rpm to measure combustion and is modifying injection time in an attempt to maintain consistent power levels across each cylinder. If the correction values exceed a certain threshold, it indicates a malfunction in the injector. Undoubtedly, any additional mechanical malfunction that impacts combustion efficiency, such as low compression pressure, may result in a similar outcome. Conducting a bench test will provide complete certainty.
  4. If there is an imbalance in fuel delivery from certain injectors, it might lead to the formation of particles, which then accumulate in the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). I have reservations about the notion that all of them are negative. Typically, when one component fails, others will compensate, potentially causing the xentry values to exceed the acceptable range. Frequently, the pipes of the DPF sensor might get obstructed, resulting in the occurrence of a failure code or the need for regeneration.
  5. Is the disc brake dust shield deformed? Is there a stone trapped between the dust shield and the hub? Is the wheel hub worn?
  6. An additional power source will still be required, such as a compact battery located in the trunk or a capacitor positioned in the front. My own auxiliary power supply is also no longer functional.
  7. While in the automobile, my primary focus is on driving rather than engaging in phone conversations or texting. From your perspective, "traditional cruise control" is hazardous, whereas from my perspective, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is somewhat bothersome.
  8. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system applied sudden and forceful braking as I drove into a school zone on a Sunday. The ACC is unable to predict my intentions. While inattentive drivers may benefit from it, I myself do not need it.

  10. If you are referring to this particular display: Therefore, the response is negative. I just disregard it and it vanishes.
  11. I suppose so. During the process of inspecting or verifying products. I consistently verify the manufacturing date of products, ensuring that all items are newly produced and not outdated stock. Previously, I replaced the front top mounts on a different vehicle. The mounts were Sachs, manufactured in Germany and had a recent production date. Perhaps I still have some remaining boxes for photographs.
  12. Those are still manufactured in Germany or elsewhere throughout Europe. I am now doing a comprehensive renovation for my second vehicle. Purchased a complete set of Sachs shock absorbers and Lemforder suspension components. Not a single one of them is manufactured in China.
  13. Indeed, that is precisely why I used the term "mostly". Such components like suspension arms, among others, are manufactured in Poland. Furthermore, the joints are still manufactured in Germany. Sachs, a German manufacturer, produces original equipment manufacturer (OEM) shocks, not Lemforder. However, Sachs and Lemforder are really the same corporation.
  14. That is incorrect. Lemforder is mostly manufactured in Poland at now. It is evident that the degree of quality control is rather poor.
  15. The cost of a new aftermarket rear brake calliper is around £40, and it would take roughly 1-1.5 hours of work at a general garage to install it. Additionally, I would replace the brake line, which would cost around £10. This price should include the 1-1.5 hours of effort. I anticipate a payment of less than £150.
  16. I prefer to myself wash my vehicles in heavy weather rather than allowing a Romanian individual receiving a wage of £3 per hour to come into contact with them. (Additional nationalities are offered at the majority of car wash establishments)
  17. After repairing all of my suspension components, I noticed what I first believed to be difficult gear changes in 1st and 2nd gears. However, upon additional examination, I have determined that the issue lies with the gearbox and engine mounts. It is possible that the increased torque has caused damage to the mounts. What are hard launches?
  18. If you possess the capability and necessary resources to customise your automobile according to your exact preferences, I would strongly recommend proceeding without any hesitation. There is likely a deliberate purpose behind the absence of a completely airtight connection between the arch liner and bodywork. Therefore, making modifications to your own vehicle may involve a compromise, since resolving one problem might potentially lead to the emergence of another. If I were to speculate, I would suggest that the purpose of the opening is to facilitate the escape of water and moist air, as well as to prevent condensation. Engineers likely believe that, overall, it is more beneficial to allow some water and dirt to enter easily, rather than restricting the flow of dirt, moist air, and water.
  19. According to the terms and conditions, the need is for the material to develop holes as a result of corrosion starting from the inside side of the panel. The presence of surface rust on the outside, which may be remedied by sanding, does not meet the criteria for qualification. This is because it is susceptible to damage from stone chips, environmental elements, and other conditions, as explicitly mentioned in rejected claims. If there is now no evidence of corrosion, then by the time it becomes visible, it will have reached an age where even the courts would struggle to rule in favour of the customer. Failing to undergo an annual corrosion inspection conducted by the authorised dealer would invalidate any official guarantee that may have been provided with your vehicle at purchase. Additionally, if you do not use the authorised dealer for maintenance services, there would be no commercial motivation to provide any type of goodwill gesture.
  20. I strictly adhere to the Mercedes service plan, entrusting all maintenance tasks to the same authorised dealer. My W203 vehicle was treated with utmost care and attention, with the dealer handling every aspect of its maintenance. However, when the rusting began at around 8 years of age, it was not covered under warranty since it had not caused the metal to develop holes from the outside inward. I opted to personally handle the task of organising everything, and they executed it admirably.
  21. What is the duration of your automobile ownership plan? If just a few years have passed, then there is no need to take any action. If you want to retain it for a duration of 10 years or more, then investing in DINITROL (or a comparable alternative) would be a prudent decision. However, it is impossible to ascertain definitively if it would have any discernible impact. Mercedes will allow repairs which adhere to their terms & conditions, although be aware that it won’t cover all sorts of rust or corrosion, but that will be the relative minority of instances. This solely pertains to the process of metalwork perforating caused by internal corrosion. Therefore, even if your automobile has undergone annual inspections by a certified dealer, they will not address any external corrosion issues. If your automobile has a comprehensive service history from an authorised dealer and is relatively recent, there is a possibility that they may undertake the repair of various forms of rust and corrosion as a gesture of goodwill. However, it is becoming more uncommon for this to occur.
  22. I am inquiring as to whether the seal is a separate component or whether it is included with the wiper arm. It seems to be lodged inside the arm.
  23. It seems that there is a problem with the seal, but I am not of how to address it.
