Initiate operation after an extended period of inactivity.

In my opinion, use the hand crank to distribute oil throughout the system (except the plugs and coils) would be advantageous, to be honest. -

Prioritise ensuring that the battery is both completely operational and fully charged. If the battery experiences a short circuit, it may cause a reverse flow of electrical current into the Digital Motor Electronics (DME) system, resulting in its destruction. If there is any uncertainty about the condition of the electrical components, it is advisable to replace them with new ones. What do you think about getting an oil and filter change? I believe it would be a prudent decision. Subsequently, I would extract the plugs and coils and introduce a few drops of oil into each cylinder. If possible, manually spin it a few times. Next, I would rotate the engine without the spark plugs or ignition coils many times to ensure proper oil circulation. Subsequently, fasten it securely and proceed with determination. Please be aware that the gasoline may have deteriorated and as a result, the engine may not function properly. -
Optimal 20-inch wheel and tyre specifications for a Gen1

That's almost the same level of annoyance I have with my 20s. I admire those wheels. -

I believe TriniTT has some alcoholic beverages. -
What is the colour? Are there any further items or options available? Can you provide information about the service history? It seems to be a good deal so far...

I have a strong belief that I will never reach the point of retirement and, ideally, will never need the use of a Health Savings Account (HSA) or any kind of retirement savings. I associate myself with affluent persons who, despite being in their 70s, maintain a rigorous 40-hour work schedule, actively manage their firms, and have no inclination to retire. During my adolescent years, while employed as a customer service representative at a hospital, I encountered Cary, an octogenarian of Irish descent who had been in Boston for the most of his adult life. He had a residence in Boston, a second one on Cape Cod, and a third one in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He has an extensive family with several grandkids. Although he had no obligation to work, he made the decision to do so in order to maintain his level of activity and get pleasure from interacting with new patients and escorting them from the emergency unit to the inpatient wards. When I inquired about his motivation for continuing to perform the same job as an 18-year-old like myself, he said that he feared ceasing work would result in his demise. One day, he had a knee injury and had to go on a vacation from work. He never came back and, as far as I remember, passed very soon thereafter due to a heart attack.

I was rather sluggish in reacting, since the price has increased again. However, I own a plethora of other items. since SpikeyMikey asserts, one can never have an excessive amount.

There will no longer be any MOT certificates.
ianwh4 replied to drummer's topic in General Discussions
When purchasing cars in the past, there have been instances where the paperwork provided had the name and address removed. However, nowadays, second-hand car dealers often do not provide any paperwork at all. This is a safer approach for them as it prevents their employees from accidentally exposing the company to claims of breaching GDPR regulations. For instance, when I purchased the Suzuki, I received just the paper service book as documentation. However, on the inside cover of the book, there was a sticker label with the name and address of the former owner. I reached out to them with inquiries about the automobile, and they were amicable, so there were no problems. However, I can see how, in other situations, this may have had negative consequences for the dealer. This is an avoidable nuisance that they can do without. Therefore, without any documentation, there are no concerns. -

Indeed, the document no longer has the status of a 'certificate' but rather a mere A4 paper created with a laser printer. -
Regarding the process of re-lensing your R8 headlights
ianwh4 replied to ianwh4's topic in General Discussions
Cost less than 1,000 dollars. -
If you have headlights that are cracked or damaged, this is for you...The headlights of my automobile were severely damaged by the previous owner. According to everyone's opinion, I was advised to pay a minimum of 7-8k, even for second-hand items, due to cracks and damaged components. I discovered this business. The website is called OnEighty.com. This individual expertly refurbished, darkened, and reassembled the item to seem brand new. They provide their services at a much lower cost, in case anybody need similar assistance.

Connecting an iPhone to a 2005 Comand System
ianwh4 replied to cumblechook22's topic in General Discussions
Do the US and UK W220 versions use comparable systems? The command system lacks an auxiliary connector or Bluetooth functionality, leaving you with the only option of using an FM transmitter. Although not optimal, they are effective. -
Modification of the swirl motor resistor for the OM642 engine.
ianwh4 replied to EatSuru's topic in General Discussions
Likewise, when the servo malfunctioned once again on the om642, I speculated that the turbo may have also become inoperative. The first failure occurred at around 60,000 km, and now, after 101,000 kilometres, another failure has occurred. No testing of the fuse was conducted; it was just changed. Limp mode is a state in which driving is limited to a maximum of 1500 RPM. On manual mode, the dashboard said that I was on speed shift 5, although I expected to be on speed shift 2 on Speed Shift 2. -
I too had a positive experience with my car, but unfortunately, I encountered persistent deterioration of the wheel arches. Despite my efforts to fix the issue twice, I eventually decided to give up. Currently, the car has returned to the South of England and is in excellent condition. You may sometimes see pictures of it in the Mercedes club magazine at certain gatherings in that area.

Definitely while wheel bearings get damaged, the noise is more pronounced while making turns. Specifically, the affected bearing relies on the direction of the turn being made. The right hand may function as the left bearing, or it could also serve as the handbrake shoes. My last E46 car was rather troublesome when it required replacement of the shoes.

The next aspect I would examine is the integrity of the oil filler car seal and the CCV (Crankcase Ventilation) system. The ccv exam is rather straightforward. During idle, carefully remove the oil filler cap and place your palm over the hole (while wearing a disposable glove). If you feel a gentle suction, that is normal. However, if it seems like the crankcase is forcefully pulling your hand in, it indicates a potential problem with the crankcase ventilation (CCV) system. Inspect the tube extending from the front of the crank case to ensure that it is not torn or damaged. This tube is connected to the crankcase ventilation (CCV) valve.

It is advisable to inquire with your insurance provider about the availability of breakdown insurance as a potential choice. My insurance carrier, General Accident, offered a comprehensive RAC breakdown coverage for £59.00, which included roadside assistance, retrieval, and home delivery. -
Were there any covert changes made by the dealer regarding emissions during the vehicle's service?

Possible placement of the N14B16A head on the N18B16A block.

i just completely another n12 2008 cooper i fitted a complete n16b16 engine from a 2015 mini cooper , the oil pump fairly easy thing so sort there is a few other things that need to be worked out , i've also honed a damage bore foe times and have welded the the melted part 3 of these cars out there now and still running ok so its possible to repair the bore, as very last resort, i also fit over size rings on a near end of hone bores before, then trim the ring gap to suit, as the rings I use have a good bit of tensile spring to them , and will work on a standard piston , last one i done hone was out to 1mm had to get a tad inventive with ring gaps and rings as you do, this all said i would always rather have a know good block and can trust it when crack it open from the lights lol
