If anybody is interested, I have discovered a very cost-effective alternative to the products Waxoyl and Bilt Hamber. The automotive retailer in my vicinity had the Silverhook Wax Coating product readily available, which includes a lance and has substantial power. Notably, the product does not need preheating before to use. The efficacy of waxoyl, when diluted and applied using a compressor, seems to be satisfactory; nevertheless, its performance is notably unsatisfactory when administered by an aerosol tin. The efficacy of the silver hook substance was very high.

The aforementioned seems to be of high quality. However, the cost is rather high. I am considering Bilt Hamber as my next option. Incredibly, the application of Hammerite Smooth Silver paint has a striking resemblance to iridium, so potentially providing protection against corrosion for a duration of at least one year, if not longer. Thank you for your guidance.

The expression "good grief" is used to convey a sense of surprise, frustration, or exasperation. The application of Waxoyl from a spray canister is a laborious and futile endeavor. The substance consistently emerges in substantial clusters even with the application of heat. Ultimately, the substance was applied by transferring it into a receptacle and thereafter distributing it over the desired surface using a brush. The lesson has been learned to refrain from using Hammerite goods in other instances. From a fair standpoint, the Kurust exhibited a satisfactory appearance during the curing process. However, I am very frustrated by the inability to apply paint onto its surface. I am inquiring about the efficacy of applying a coat of Zinsser Bullseye as a suitable barrier, followed by painting the iridium layer on top. Additionally, I am contemplating if it would have been more appropriate to use this approach from the first stages of the project.
-
The suggestion is commendable. I will attempt to implement that strategy. Subsequent to the liberal application of a waxy oily substance, spraying will occur. The possibility of its return is not foreseeable. Fortunately, the structural integrity of the steel substrate remained intact despite the unattractive appearance.

Upon doing an olfactory examination of the Mercedes touch-up product, it was observed that the scent emitted has a distinct cellulose-like aroma. It is worth noting that the product in question is not water-based, however it remains uncertain if water-based alternatives may still retain a similar scent.I am considering avoiding the use of iridium silver overpainting on the Hammerite due to potential adverse reactions with cellulose. Instead, I am contemplating proceeding directly to the use of Waxoyl.

Greetings. In retrospect, it would have been advantageous to conduct a more extensive investigation. I have removed the rear arch liners and thoroughly cleaned the accumulated mud and debris from the arch lip. Additionally, I have addressed any surface rust by cleaning and using Hammerite Kurrust. Subsequently, I have coated the area with silver Hammerite Smooth. At this stage, I am now deliberating on the subsequent steps to do. Regrettably, I have come to the realization that it is not feasible to apply the Mercedes Iridium Silver due to potential reactivity with the Hammerite, as indicated by online sources. The Hammerite silver coating provides a very suitable match, particularly given its inconspicuousness when seen from a lower vantage point. Consequently, I am considering the application of wax oil inside the arches as a means of reassembling the components. Any other ideas would be much appreciated. I express my gratitude for your assistance.

Is it typical for brake pads to get worn out after 8,000 miles?
jimmy47785 replied to drummer's topic in General Discussions
The outcome is contingent upon one's driving style. Bring the vehicle to a specialized automotive service center such as Formula 1 Autocentres, known for their efficient and expedited services. The establishment offers complimentary brake inspections. Seeking a second opinion is often beneficial in several contexts. -
The process of eliminating suction imprints from glass surfaces

An further concern associated with the use of wire wool pertains to the detachment of metal particles, which have the potential to get lodged inside the crevices of an automobile's bodywork, thereby initiating the corrosion process. Frequent conversations can be seen on guitar forums over the practice of using wire wool for the purpose of polishing guitar frets. However, it has been noted that this approach may result in the accumulation of particles on the magnetic pickups, particularly concerning for experienced guitarists. Consequently, an increasing number of individuals are opting to use plastic pads for this task in contemporary times. The use of Autoglym glass polish, either with a DA polisher or by manual means, is expected to be sufficient for the removal of such markings. -
Audi Arnott Parts for Your Air Suspension?
jimmy47785 replied to drummer's topic in General Discussions
Although I lack expertise in mechanics, I have personally experienced the replacement of suspension air bags on three separate occasions. The observable manifestations associated with a minor rupture in the rubber container consist only of drooping corners. A complete tear will result in the vehicle being consistently set at level 1 and displaying the manual mode indicator. The compressor may experience burn-out as it attempts to maintain inflation of leaky bags; nevertheless, it is worth noting that an automated shut-off mechanism is activated when the compressor reaches high temperatures. The increased temperature during operation is plainly the factor that contributes to more wear on the specific component. Based on the information provided, it seems that there is a presence of one or more bags that are experiencing leakage. If you happen to be in Los Angeles, I am able to provide a commendation for an exceptional automotive technician. -
Audi Arnott Parts for Your Air Suspension?

I have been using Arnott airbag replacements for around 1.5 years, during which I have driven a distance of 20,000 miles, including some off-road terrain. The ride is original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and there are no signs of leakage. The original factory bags installed on my 2001 vehicle had a long lifespan. However, the durability and performance of the aftermarket Arnott's bags are yet to be determined. However, the technician expressed admiration for the high quality craftsmanship of the products and their seamless installation process, which included all the necessary components. In Southern California, he provides maintenance services for a significant number of all-road vehicles and has recently included airbag repair as a regular part of his operations due to the high demand for such services. I have also changed one bag at a time, without pairing them, and have not had any issues so far. Approximately four years ago, I noticed that my bags began to exhibit leakage. This issue persists in my 2001 allorad vehicle, which has accumulated 80,000 miles. Currently, I only own one original equipment manufacturer (OEM) bag, and unfortunately, it is also experiencing leakage. Consequently, the vehicle tends to lower in height after standing stationary overnight. It is now appropriate to contact Arnott. If the vehicle's performance did not meet expectations despite its functional state, it is likely that it would have been replaced with a different model at an earlier time. The individual derives pleasure from the given situation. -
I have just acquired a wasp for my 1973 MGB automobile; however, I have encountered an issue whereby the wires provided are insufficient in length to adequately reach the WOSP starter. Has anybody successfully connected one of these devices so far?

There are a variety of conflicting facts on the compatibility of CarPlay with the F3x series automobiles. The 2017 F32 model I had did not come equipped with wireless CarPlay functionality. Upon inquiring with BMW, I was informed that enabling wireless CarPlay would not be possible due to the need of having WiFi capability in the Head Unit (HU). Nevertheless, I engaged in a conversation with an unauthorized vendor who examined the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of my automobile and said that the desired task could be accomplished. I received a file through email and proceeded to use a Windows laptop along with a suitable BMW-compatible connection to successfully install and activate the CarPlay feature. The performance was very effective and accurately aligned with expectations. The primary concern was to the restricted coverage area of the wireless internet connectivity originating from the HU, necessitating the placement of the phone inside the central console. There is a wide variety of plug and play wireless chargers available for purchase on online marketplaces such as eBay.

When we were young, my sister and I both had Barbies, and for Christmas, she received the Barbie Healey. Obviously, there is a Healey vehicle clock radio, and my dad used to have one. Both of their autos probably were bright orange plastic.

The carbon pieces will function, but I believe the loom is necessary for the switches. What about the truck the toggles came from? -
The analysis is excellent. The same goes for me. NTG5.5 is a terrible SATNAV for a wonderful automobile; it's disappointing enough for a Lada. Favouirtes only allows for 20 entries, Previous Destinations for only around 60, and when you add new entries, the older ones automatically disappear. While it's a pain to enter new locations via the manual interface, the Mercedes Me app does enable you to transmit locations to the vehicle through the Map, but when they'll really arrive is anyone's guess. I did discover a way around the storage space constraints, however. That is, you should compile a list of places in your contacts, which is especially helpful if you want to drive overseas but don't want to bring along all of your UK-based connections. Simply compile a contact list in Gmail, save it as a.VCF file (compatible with Apple Address Book, Windows Outlook, People, and Windows Contacts), save it on a USB stick, and then import it into the vehicle through USB1 into the Phone/Contacts submmenu. There are 3,500 items in the car's Contacts directory. You may make waypoints by following a certain naming/numbering protocol, in which non-alphanumeric letters like "(" occur before the alphabet. Entering the proper address is the difficult part. When using a Contact Address as a destination in NTG5.5, you must always provide a house number and choose the appropriate language to define the address in. Google Maps, Viamichelin, and the Mercedes Me App Map are the three mapping applications I use while in Spain; all three employ a confusing combination of Spanish, Basque, and Catalan to spell addresses. Validating each address before relying on the fact that it is accurately recognized by NTG5.5 while you're on the road is a time-consuming and laborious process. Oh, and NTG5.5 doesn't like shortened entries like "Av." for "Avenida" or "Avinguda," both of which are valid in Spain. It's a lot of effort, but you can create libraries for several nations, save them on USB drives, and then just remove your current contacts and replace them with those from the country you're visiting. It's straightforward after you've set it up, but many of you will probably decide you'd rather purchase a BMW or Audi the next time around.
-
That would be the COMAND NTG5*1 setting for the W212. Assuming that you have already added the vehicle identification number (VIN) to your Mercedes me account online, you should be able to see on the website the many services that may be purchased for your vehicle.
-
If your 2015 W212 is equipped with COMAND, you shouldn't need the Mercedes me adaptor to use it. The 3g KOM Module need to be included in it. However, I'm not sure about automobiles that have Audio20 since these models didn't get the 3G modem until much later. Keep in mind as well that the number of Mercedes me services that were compatible with earlier models of vehicles was somewhat restricted. From what I recall, the only service that was available for the COMAND NTG4.5 was TomTom Live Traffic. However, with the release of the COMAND NTG5*1, a wider variety of services became accessible.

Are you keeping 12.4-12.8v after leaving the carnas for a while? If there is a drain, the +ve wire may be arcing off the body and draining stuff.
