Conversion of the rear suspension
Craigbelont replied to Howard_silver's topic in General Discussions
Hey, I was perfect after my suspension at the Bristol dealership. -
Update: I had the BMW dealer do an inquiry into the leaks: 1. There is a leakage of the engine from the valve covers of the cylinder head. 2. Gearbox leak: The issue involves the oil sump, adapter, and seals of the pan filter. Their repair estimate is very high. Can anybody provide a reference for a garage in the UB9 area? Alternatively, are there any individuals willing to be compensated for their assistance?

Yesterday, I had the oil filter replaced and was informed that there is an engine oil leak. I was already aware of this issue as it was brought to my attention by a MOT garage in November. I have travelled a distance of 4000 miles and it has been 18 months since my last oil change. I have not added any oil during this time. When I checked the dipstick 2 weeks ago, the oil level dropped down from the maximum level to 10mm above the minimum level. It seems that there is not a significant oil leak, since there is no oil visible on the driveway. However, there have been reports of a substantial amount of oil accumulating in the bottom tray. It is possible that the leak is originating from the rear of the engine. From where should I commence? I have saw the video from @Timm about leaks. I am also contemplating eliminating excessive repair expenses. The automobile has a low mileage of 56,000 km, however it is 15 years old and still has the original plastic/rubber seals with the "BMW" logo. The closest independent BMW dealership is Birdsauto located in Iver. Although they have received positive ratings, their services are known to be expensive. Thank you.

There are several factors to take into account: Will larger callipers be necessary to handle the increased width of the discs? If the connecting point is situated in a different place, it may be necessary to use other brake lines. Is the internal handbrake the same size as the original disc? Are the calliper mounting positions on your car the same as the donor's if they have a greater diameter? Is a new brake bias valve required when the rear brakes have a greater diameter? Since the majority of the braking is performed via the front brakes Is it worth the emotional distress and anguish?

Software has dampened the latter years. Valves do not achieve complete aperture until reaching greater revolutions per minute (RPM). If it is a decisive factor for you, then indeed, aiming for a 2020 R8 would be advisable. I assume it was the last year prior to the exhaust noise being muffled.

This feature is mostly applicable to earlier generations of devices, such as the E90, that can only be charged when connected to the slot. I regularly swap my belongings every 3 months to ensure they remain fully stocked. In order to properly recharge a key that displays the low battery warning amber light upon start up, it requires up to 30 hours of driving.

I suppose that my CLC is a c203. Has anybody responded about the replacement of the headlight? I want instructions on how to replace one of my possessions. Although I have seen many YouTube demonstrations, I am in need of a detailed, sequential tutorial. If a non-existent one is not present, I will be compelled to create one.

Tips for Removing Vehicle Badges
Craigbelont replied to Paulinelinker's topic in General Discussions
In the past, I have applied heat to it using a hair dryer and then used dental floss. If you want to reattach them, it is advisable to use high-quality masking tape to secure them. By doing so, you can maintain the appropriate spacing, which prevents future complications. To remove the leftover adhesive residue, you may use items such as Tardis or Ambersil's glue remover. I have previously used both options without any detrimental impact on the paint surface. -

Recommendations for 1998 SL320 maintenance?

Having a mechanic hoist it onto a lift and examine it for an hour or two is the proactive thing to do. As far as scheduling goes, he can provide you with a list of A, B, and C things. -
It is usual to have a higher level of vacuum at idle due to low pressure. Conversely, during high rpm, there is low vacuum and high pressure. As you correctly pointed out, the presence of carbon build-up is evident, and any method to eliminate it is beneficial. Utilising mechanical intervention would be the optimal approach, since I am unable to provide input on the aspect of additives. The primary issue with these engines lies in the use of the plastic oil control ring, which is a poorly designed component. These rings become very fragile and prone to brittleness due to exposure to high temperatures and ageing. Please keep us updated on your progress with the chemical intervention approach - we are eager to stay informed.

Given the significant quantity of oil consumption, it will be necessary to do a complete engine overhaul. Components responsible for managing oil consumption in an engine are the oil control rings and valve stem oil seals. Additionally, there are several additional issues that need to be addressed when it is disassembled. Prior to any further action, I would recommend doing a comprehensive smoke test to identify the source of the leakage and provide you with a clear understanding of the components that need to be replaced. Perform the same action on each cylinder, ensuring that the valves are closed and manually spin them. Observe whether the valves are correctly positioned and free from any carbon deposits.

Requesting information about body weatherstripping.

Durable moulding and trim components may be found on all types of contemporary automobiles. Frequently, they are equally difficult to get, fresh, and promptly for an autobody business and its typical supply methods, just like for any other individual. Therefore, they perform the task of cleaning and reapplying the current ones. Search for information about "Bean-e-Doo". The creator provides an explanation of the methods and reasons behind their work. You may get "Goo Gone," a product for smaller tasks, in the kitchen area of large retail shops or at autoparts stores. CAVEAT: "Goo Gone" is a more potent and fast-acting solution compared to Bean-e-Doo, but it has the potential to harm plants and other objects as well. Be cautious and avoid using solvent products that are well-known for causing damage to paint, such as "Goof Off" which contains a significant amount of Toluene. There are many new "body moulding adhesives" available, but a large number of these things were originally installed at the factory using high-quality double-sided tape. Therefore, using the same kind of tape again is not a makeshift solution. By specifying "industrial grade," I meant that stealing from the school supplies area at the Dollar store would not provide you with the desired level of durability. Both surfaces must be free of dirt or impurities. Refer to the information provided before. A heat-gun with thermoluminescent dosimetry (TLC) may effectively rectify bends and some types of kinks, albeit not all. The seals and edging on the driver's side door are prone to chronic wear and tear. As cars age or are involved in accidents, these parts progressively become unavailable and eventually go out of stock. Locating this one should not be too difficult, nevertheless. The 'simple' version you have shown may need trimming to fit from a supply of general-purpose materials. Apply the heat gun once more in order to create bends. Well done for taking prompt action. Ignoring this issue does not lead to any improvement. The aesthetic appeal of reusing items is compromised when they are neglected and subjected to tearing or significant damage due to excessive movement. -

Devastated by the exorbitant expenses of repairing my heart.

I own a 2012 Range Rover Sport. I visited the dealership to address a recall, and during the inspection, they discovered issues with my vehicle that amounted to a value exceeding $10,000. After obtaining a hard copy of all the diagnostic reports, I proceeded to meticulously investigate each issue and discovered that it was rather straightforward to resolve them on my own. Persevere -

I highly recommend the battery. Additionally, it is advisable to refrain from including one's postal code on the forum. -
The vehicle in question is a 2009 E350 CDI Coupe 3L V6. After receiving information about ring leaks, I purchased one and a spare clamp. Three bolts have been recently removed from the power steering tank in order to replace the o ring. It has been determined that there is not just one pipe connected to the bottom right of the tank. The leak originates from an underground source, such as a pump or a pipe. If no visible signs are present, it will be necessary to remove the panel and clean it with steam in order to determine the source of the leak. The notion of a victor was disregarded.
