The vehicle I possessed before was an R129 SL320, which had 19-inch wheels. However, I decided to replace them because of their appearance. I must admit that I am pretty frugal, even if I only have one car and don't use it much each year. I find it difficult to accept paying a significant amount of money to the government for a car that remains parked in my garage.

I inquired about the Mercedes SL350 at Allon White Sports Cars. I like the appealing colour combination and the vehicle's low mileage. However, I am disappointed to see that there have been 10 prior owners, which raises concerns. Additionally, the service history supplied in the form of a spreadsheet did not instill trust in me, and the MOT history is inconsistent. I am not in a hurry. My present A4 3.0 quattro cabriolet is likely one of the finest in terms of condition, service history, and limited number of previous owners. I am the third owner, but the mileage of 126k may be regarded somewhat high.

It has been some time since I separated from my prior 03 R230 SL350, but I am considering returning to it. I am aware that there are larger engine options available, but the 350 fulfils all my requirements without the complexities of the ABC suspension found in the V8 vehicles. I have seen an advertisement for this automobile, and although it first seems appealing, there are a few concerns that trouble me. Specifically, I am drawn to the car's panoramic roof, heated and ventilated seats, and the optional 18-inch 5-spoke wheels. Nevertheless, the vehicle's service history is only partially documented. Additionally, it is equipped with mismatched and improperly suited tyres. The front discs exhibit significant scoring, and it seems to be without a wind deflector. It is possible that I may have overlooked additional issues that others may notice. I would welcome the insights of people more knowledgeable than myself. Does anybody own information on this particular car?

I am not very fond of the round shape of the c238 shell. The three central air vents are aesthetically displeasing due to their design, as is the internal rope lighting. However, personal preferences and financial means may vary, so if you find them appealing and can afford them, it is a matter of individual choice. I highly encourage you to go with your decision. I am quite satisfied with my 17 plate e350 c207.

TPMS problem with the 2020 XCeed 2 model.
CheresX replied to Rojoires's topic in General Discussions
The term "indirect" alone indicates a state of being at a low level. Therefore, it is necessary to examine each and every one of them. In contrast to the Direct method, which provides individual pressure readings for each wheel. I agree that the selling dealer should handle the transaction. However, my concern is that they may only replace one of the tyres with a used one to make it resemble the others. -

These TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems) operate based on rotational data. Upon detecting a disparity in rotation. I would recommend replacing the rear tyres with new ones, preferably a matching pair. -
Thank you for sharing the video. That is precisely the sound I am experiencing in my vehicle. I will rectify the issue after I get it from winter storage.

Greetings, I would want to inquire whether anybody has encountered a boisterous blower motor when operating at its maximum settings. At lesser speeds, the sound is typical, but as the speed increases, a loud noise may be heard coming from behind the dashboard. Please inform me whether anybody has encountered this issue and if disassembling the blower motor for inspection is a complex task.

I use my device on both 19-inch and 20-inch screens, and really, I am unable to discern any difference between them. Ensure that your shocks are in excellent condition, since they may sometimes develop defects. I had an internal failure in one of my shocks, which resulted in a banging sound whenever I encountered a bump, despite the absence of any visible leakage.

Warranty problem with a rusty subframe on a W203 coupé
CheresX posted a topic in General Discussions
Greetings, I just had a conversation with Mercedes Benz warranty department addressing the issue of a rusted subframe. Evidently, the non-coverage of the issue stems from the fact that the vehicle in question did not undergo regular servicing at Mercedes-Benz on an annual basis. Could someone provide advice on whether or not this is accurate? The problem at hand pertains to the structural material. -
The air conditioning unit emits a foul odour.

I engaged in further conversation with the dealer earlier today, seeking clarification on the basis for their identification of the evaporator coil. Dealer’s response… Based on our observations, it is evident that the automobile is experiencing a recurring problem. Additionally, the air conditioning sniffer has detected the presence of refrigerant in the car, which can only originate from that specific source. I am uncertain as to whether he is providing me with false information, since the product in question is still covered by warranty, or whether he is being truthful. Do you have any thoughts or opinions on the matter? I would much appreciate any advice. There are two remaining months within the warranty period. -

I would want to express my gratitude to all those who have sent me messages. I am uncertain about the compatibility of such items with the X5. The dealer has indicated their willingness to provide coverage for the issue under the warranty. However, as you have previously said, the resolution of the problem necessitates the removal of the whole dashboard. I am uncertain about my inclination to engage in that action, since it is believed to potentially be the source of the issue, albeit not with complete certainty. The confirmation of the source of the odour can only be ascertained upon examination of the coil. -

Thank you for your response. Do you have any insights about the potential origins of the odour and the necessary steps to rectify it? -
In the year 2020, the BMW X5 has an unpleasant odour emanating from the air conditioning system during the first 10 seconds upon activation. Has anybody had the experience with that? The dealer is suggesting the replacement of the evaporator coil. I would value your collective perspectives. Is it advisable to replace the evaporator coil? We express our gratitude for your input.

I have been using the Arnott Gen 3 suspension system on my P38 vehicle for an extended period of time. Arnotts has consistently encountered challenges pertaining to quality control. It is important to securely save the receipt. I recall used a diminutive drill bit to traverse the eyelet apertures in order to achieve alignment of the retaining pins. Additionally, there is a tendency for leakage to occur in the vicinity of the upper clamp ring. According to Richard's perspective, it is not worthwhile to install Gen 3's unless one can fully use the additional 2 inches of elevation. In addition to the implementation of elongated shock absorbers, the incorporation of extended sensor arms at the rear is also required. There are several methods for achieving more lift. The most straightforward approach is the alteration of the spring seats on the axles via the use of welding techniques to affix new brackets. In the United Kingdom, this situation presents a complex set of challenges surrounding adjustments and testing, therefore rendering it unacceptable. In the United States, it seems that modifications are more socially accepted, making them a more cost-effective alternative. One might choose to continue using Dunlop tires and make adjustments to the EAS heights accordingly.

Manifold refinishing and repairs for the M156 engine
CheresX replied to developer's topic in General Discussions
Excellent work, indeed. Just wondering how the paint is holding up. How did you color the walls? The throttle body plate on my Intake manifold was broken, and I just pulled it apart to clean and check it. I'm going to assume that you fixed this and follow your example. -
It may be used as a suitcase or a suitcase for Barbie and Ken's clothes. Because of the Healey on it, my brother bought it for me at a garage sale.

I ended up spending £540 at Brin Jones' Bristol Garage. Outstanding work overall; it holds up well after a year (as one would expect).

Hello! My 5 series's front bumper has been damaged and has to be repaired. I've never had any auto body work done before and was hoping to get some advice. The appearance of the bonnet is the most important thing to me. No mismatched colors or sun-fadeaway paint as someone at my office experienced after having her vehicle doors resprayed (wtf). A body shop in Bristol charged me £750, and they said it may cost up to £1500 to color match and integrate the wings. When I told the guy at the Hereford body shop that the estimate was inexpensive and asked whether the car would end up looking the same, save the scratches, he indicated it would. If it costs £1500, I'm willing to pay it. I haven't checked the price of a new authentic bonnet, but if it's above £1500 I may as well simply get a replacement. Do you believe that £400 is too low and will lead to subpar work? The Hereford repair business was reputable and well rated, whereas the Bristol repair shop said that £400 wouldn't even cover the cost of materials. Since then, I've had serious doubts about the honesty of the proposed £400 worth of work. Thanks a lot!
