  2. In most cases, air mass faults will result in an air leak. Before you start throwing components at it, make sure the intake is smoke tested.
  3. Salutations everyone, 2016 Bluetec W212 (S212 family) waggon. Every few weeks, you can see the engine management light and limp mode turning on. Fault code: mass air flow. The little copper sensor had a lot of black carbon deposits, so I removed it and cleaned it with MAF cleaner. After that, I used the OBD scanner to clear the error. After then, everything was OK for a while, but it eventually returned to its previous state of malfunction. I immediately went into limp mode after installing an aftermarket sensor. I hastily reinstalled the previous one. When I accelerate quickly, the engine management light and limp mode appear. Extra miles on the highway. almost 220,000. Have you any idea? Who makes the EGR/DPF/Turbo/MAF sensors? I'm merely a passionate novice. Having owned it since new and diligently attended to all repairs and maintenance, I am hoping to keep it running. It has been well-maintained and has no other issues. I am looking for some experienced advice.

  5. How is it? alternatively look for a VIN-based diagram
  6. Truthfully, this is the greatest place to enquire. As the emphasis shifted to the state.
  7. Can you find it using Google? We will require the engine size and year of production.
  8. Could someone please point me in the correct way? I have searched everywhere, including in the owner's manual. Incredibly grateful.

  10. Then I have a request: please don't be timid and disappear after introducing yourself or popping a repair Q. It was too high. Write down your successes, setbacks, and discoveries in a tiny journal. Show us your ride, tell us about your travels, and get in on the action!
  11. It seemed like the right moment to create an account after perusing this topic for a while. It seems like a real community here, and there is a wealth of excellent information shared. My interests include driving, understanding how things function, and listening to stories from the actual world. I am excited to get into the discussions and meet new people.
  12. Downloading the maps via Mercedes me does not need purchasing the PIN from MB. Anyone can download it, but it won't accomplish anything if you don't have a PIN number. You may get the genuine MB PIN code from any number of dealers for anything from £99 to £250.
  13. "This vehicle has already been created." is the message that appears when I try to register the automobile, despite the fact that I registered for Mercedes Me previously. To verify your identity as the vehicle's new owner, please get in touch with your local Mercedes-Benz dealer. Does anybody have any idea how much the pin code to authorise a download from Mercedes Me would cost? I plan to call my local dealer tomorrow to find out.
  14. No, you may get the map data for free right from Mercedes-Benz with Mercedes me. Just be sure you purchase the PIN code associated with your VIN. Instead of downloading 50 GB on your home Internet, you may utilise the SD card that the vendor is providing. It was my intention to address the worry that the SD card provided by the vendor may be corrupted and cause the installation to fail.
  15. I take it that you got it for free? After you confirm the card is suitable by providing the VIN number when you purchase, the vendor will send you an SD card with instructions and a PIN.
  16. Thank you once again for the very useful response.
  17. So long as you have the seller's PIN number, you may download the maps on a USB drive (~50gb) using your PC. There will be no damage done if you enter the wrong PIN since you will be asked for it before the installation begins. I've tried this several times and each time it worked. If you happen to encounter an erratic "can't read data" notice, just take out and re-insert the USB drive or SD card, and it will resume from the point it was before. Using three SD-Cards or USB drives is the correct method; the capacity is irrelevant; what matters is that the drives "mimick" the original three DVD installation. The process requires keeping the engine running (or having the battery hooked up to a trickle charger) for around 60 to 90 minutes. Even if you can't use the satellite navigation system, you may still drive the vehicle while the update is underway. The update will halt if you turn off the engine, but it will resume once you turn it back on.
