  2. It can be the ECU connection(s). A live function test might reveal its operational status. Indeed, Star is capable of doing that. If not, some diagnostic tools may detect an open cct problem.
  3. After purchasing a Wahler brand, I effortlessly attached it to my OM642. Best of luck!
  4. Sure, I can. It seems like I'll have to skip MB altogether.
  5. I don't think this is an OEM product; can you take it back?
  6. It was a response from D2B AutoParts, and I appreciate it. Does it have the OEM logo or not?
  7. Could you tell if it was a generic or authentic MB OEM part? Regarding the installed components, MB appears to be somewhat picky.
  8. Hello, the previous EGR was causing an engine management light code, therefore my mechanic just installed a new one. The code returned after a short period of time with the new EGR installed 😞 He verified that the electrical connection was functioning properly. Feel free to share any suggestions you may have.
  9. The executive bonuses are also very good.
  10. Much obliged. I just updated my first bimmercode, which allowed my TV to function while driving. It's really easy to use.

  12. My home is in Wales, yet I'm Scottish. I found this old obe with only 53,000 miles on it, and it's in almost mint condition. I've always owned a volvis, so it was time for a change.

  14. I think you're right about the 12v battery. How often do you charge the high voltage traction battery? Is the 12v battery getting low because you have a dash cam or any other connected accessory? One 12v battery powers the engine and is located under the boot floor of the 530e. The other is an auxiliary battery that powers the electronics and is located on the right side of the boot, beneath the fuse board. If you have adaptive suspension, etc., there might be a third as well. If the high voltage traction battery isn't charged, the two batteries will run low on power, much like a car that only uses its battery for short trips. Being a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, it requires some sort of electrical connection. I would check this first, however a fault code scan is necessary for absolute certainty. An easy way to check if the problem goes away is to charge both 12v batteries. Begin with the Auxiliary and use a good 12v battery charger, such as a Ctek or a Victron blue. Simply put, if your vehicle is still under warranty, you should allow BMW to inspect it.

  16. It seems like there's a stopped relay somewhere. The good news is that the battery's warranty should cover the cost of replacement if this is a major unit in the battery pack. I'll try to find the specific battery warranty details online and provide them to you. When someone else had the same issue a few years ago, I was able to assist them. You can find it here.
  17. Just lately, I started seeing a message that said "Start engine" whenever I opened the door to my three-year-old 530e, which has only 11,000 miles on the odometer. A problem with turning off the vehicle's electronics caused the power consumption to spike while the vehicle was at rest. Get your Service Partner to look into it if the issue persists. Does anyone have any idea what this notice means or a simple way to fix it before I spend a bunch on my "service partner"?
  18. No, that's a simple response. Every vehicle has a built-in tolerance for things like weather (temperature affects tyre pressures), road conditions, and the condition of your tires. "A speedometer must never show less than the actual speed, and must never show more than 110% of actual speed + 6.25mph." This tolerance statement always shocks people.
  19. Also, my MY23 is completely out of whack. Will the odometer mileage and average MPG be affected if the Speedo is off by 7% as well?
  20. Even if I can accomplish that, the auto speed adjustment feature will only alter the speed if the current speed is greater than the current limit.
  21. Someone who makes remaps or something similar would have to be independent as 7% is within commercial and legal tolerance. Who wants to know? Certainly not Kia or the key dealers. Why, I must enquire? For example, if the limit is 70 and you want to set your cruise control speed to 75, set it at 53 and let it misread to 50.
  22. I was wondering if there was a way to calibrate the speedo on a 24 GT Line to make it work with SCC. There is currently a 7% overreading.

  24. Quick update for everyone. The Audi arrived yesterday evening. The transporter driver rang ahead and gave me regular updates throughout the day. I've spent a couple of hours going over the vehicle and so far everything appears exactly as described in the advert. It's booked into my local specialist tomorrow morning for a full inspection just for peace of mind, but first impressions are very positive. Really appreciate all the feedback from everyone here. Reading through your experiences definitely helped while I was waiting for delivery.
  25. I can add another positive experience. Bought a Jaguar F-Pace Portfolio around six months ago and the delivery took ten days. Paperwork was all present and the vehicle matched the photos. No complaints from me.
