Yellow daytime running lights (DRL) for headlights.

Recommended Posts

Good evening, I am seeking assistance and potential direction. I own a BMW 330 d with customised headlights, and I am interested in replacing them. Specifically, I would want to find headlights that include a yellow daytime running light (DRL) feature, if such an option is available.
The vehicle in question is a 2014 f31 model.
I would much appreciate anything that is similar to these specifications.
Thank you for your attention.

Understood.
I haven't seen these before, but I have never actively searched for anything yellow.
I will do a thorough examination later and if I come across any, I will provide a hyperlink.

Upon a brief examination, it seems that the kit is suitable for installation.
This particular item is located in the United Kingdom, however Aliex (presumably referring to AliExpress) offers the same item at a far lower price.

Access Facebook, but my familiarity with them is limited to the M3/4. The compatibility depends on the kind of lighting you have. In my case, it is simple since I have LED lights. The modules are located on top of the lights under the hood. There are reputable dealers available on the M car forums. The price for these items is around £100, but they can also be found on platforms like AliExpress. The sellers simply purchase the products from China and resell them. The modules may be disassembled, allowing for the replacement of the internal circuit boards.I will attempt to locate the vendor.

Based on my understanding, it is permissible to use yellow Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) if the headlights and front side lights are also yellow.

Yellow daytime running lights (DRLs) paired with white headlights would not comply with DVSA 4.2.3 regulations, thereby constituting a 'minor' fault during a MOT test.

Prior to installing any modifications, such as the one mentioned, I would consult with my local and amicable MOT tester. This is especially important if the modification deviates from the standard complete yellow lighting, which is seen on vehicles that are originally equipped with them.
