What is a realistic estimate for the selling price of my non-functioning vehicle?

Recommended Posts

The vehicle in question is a 2017 BMW 330d F31 with a mileage of 149,000 kilometres.
M sport 20-inch 405 rep alloy wheels (just 6 months old)
Complete leather garments
The body work is in pristine condition, with no dents and just a few minor chips.
The vehicle is equipped with a M sport front splitter, side skirts, and spoiler.

The car is experiencing engine knock and is not operational. We are willing to purchase any automobile for the price of £3500. If I were to offer an item on eBay, what price range might I anticipate? Contemplating commencing the bidding process at a minimum of £3000, or alternatively, considering the option of listing the item as a classified advertisement with a fixed price?

Additionally, are there any other platforms where I may advertise the automobile, other from "We Buy Any Car"?

In my view, determining the price for this vehicle is challenging due to its mileage and engine problem. However, apart from those issues, it seems to be in decent shape.
What is the selling price for running variants with similar mileage and specifications?

Substitute the Transformers badges with BMW badges and the value will significantly increase...

I would recommend beginning at a minimum of 4,000 or more. Exceeding the mere worth of junk, but sufficient to entice the providers of components in the backyard...

Attempt an eBay auction ad with an initial bid of $5,000 and assess whether there is any inclination from potential buyers.

Some DIY enthusiasts may not be intimidated by the prospect of an engine repair, even if it costs them £1k, since they might get a quality automobile for £5-7k.

Or an untrustworthy automotive repair shop that would install a used engine from a scrapyard and sell it for £10,000.

If webuyanycar offers £3.5k, then the car's value must exceed that amount. As previously said, I recommend exploring online platforms such as eBay to find a product priced at £5,000. I assume you are already aware, but exercise caution about fraudulent individuals on such networks.

Affirmative. Make the payment using a bank transfer and refrain from releasing the automobile until you have confirmed its receipt in your account.

Additionally, please include the buyer's name and address so that you may proceed with the online transfer of ownership.

The cost for someone who will do the work themselves is between 5,000 and 6,000 units. If they hire someone else to do it, the cost is 4,000 units. The expenses for workers during the rebuild will be significant and will vary depending on the location and the buyer. I recommend setting the price at 6,700 units initially, but be prepared to negotiate. The fact that it is a touring model makes it more desired than a saloon.I sold my car last year. It was classified as a Category S vehicle and had a mileage of 108,000 miles. The car was in excellent condition and included desirable features such as a huge brake kit, split and motorised tailgate, serviced gearbox and gearbox case, Harman Kardon audio system and heated seats. I sold it for £10,600.
